Actually it depends what gambling are you playing at and for how long do you set your time to gamble your money. What I can say for dice game using strategy it will end up your money for sure but if you can sustain it for a while I think you will get your money back and after that you should stop doing it because luck will never come up for 2 times in a row so place your bet carefully

Gambling site was built by the owner to give him the profit of money he has spent. Gambling isnt a charity foundation that give people free money anytime. Although there are some professional gamblers out there, the site owner surely will be always trying to beat all of them. Thats the fun side of gambling, where we could test our luck and skills combined against the house. Maybe you couldnt win everyday, but if you bet responsibly and patiently, you couldnt be disappointed so bad.

Also you have to remember that even if a gambler wins 50% of the times and loses 50% of the time which is pretty much ideal, gambling site still wins largely by the mark up that it takes on betting odds.

For example you bet on the basketball game over/under 160 points and you will have odds 1.9 for over and 1.9 for under. This means that even if one customer loses and one wins, gambling site still have 10% of gain.

In long run nobody can give guarantee of 100% success even sports betting or playing on poker sites, gambling means risk and responsible gambling mean play always with that what you can afford to lose, i'm not agreed with you for that gambling is profitable in long run.

gambling in dice is a mathematique so you will lose in long run but in sport there is some match that will allways let you win but you just need to know how much you will bet for example a red card will let you lose you bet so don't bet full balance in one match.

Btw i'm living proof for get a big win when playing poker in long run. Idk what your strategy or discipline.

But when you play poker, you need to invest a lot time on anaylze and read ur opponent.

And that's why do not too rush to raise or all-in. Take your time, and watch the game.

Poker has great chance to win big because it is skilled based gambling and so many people are in big profit but think someone lose there that is why there in profit, we are talking about long run gambling not for a single game.

Yes that is more important thing in gambling we must have ability to take decision for stop when are up with any kind of gambling and must withdraw all our winning from that site but much hard to do like that and we continue to get more and get busted for this long run gambling habit.

"Everyone looses in the long run"

Of course it's true. But we all lose our lives in the long run too btw Smiley
So gamble for fun, and never bet more than you can afford to lose and everything will be just fine.

If you ask me how much is that what one can afford to lose, I'd say if you are gambling once per month you can afford to lose around 5% of your monthly income, not more.

Why is it true? There are other games appart from dice or roulette, if you play poker you are not going to lose in the long run if you know how to do it.

gambling is never for the long term, if you're going to gamble do it quick and get out if and when you profit. the house edges make everything in the long term look not so good.

If you are referring to purely luck games, then yes gamblers are going to lose in the long run. But if you are referring to partly skill partly luck games, then it is not always the case. Very few people can be professional gamblers and getting constant profits, but it is not very hard to be good enough to break even.

Well it is true but for only 9 out of 10 people. Correct me if I am wrong, non of us here do gambling to become millionaire or billionaire, we all do that just for the sake  of fun. The tension the excitement the fun of every moment played on the ground multiplies itself to infinitely which makes it very much funny.
Final advise do gambling for fun, not to pay ours bills from the money you won.

Not like your said, some good poker players and sports bettors can earn money in the long term, profitable gamblers can make 50k USD to several million USD per year, look at phil ivey, johnny chan, they can make serious money from poker live tours, and casino gambling.

At least I am still up 20BTC, I have gambled for 5 years, since 2010 I bet on bet 365 and williamhill, i lost money, after that I played dice in 2014 and made profits Wink

Let's be honest. Gambling should only be considered for entertainment purposes only. If you are in need of quick cash, doing hard dirty work is more often than not better than hitting up the casino sites. I see way too many people in this section try to justify their gambling habits by saying they have strategies to always win. Others on this forum will go as far as to say that they are professional gamblers, and they always win. You're fooling no one and you look stupid.

All the gambling addicts I knew in real life who claimed to win from casinos all the time had serious mental issues. I went gambling with that guy once, and he ended up blaming me for him loosing at Pai Gow poker, a game that's 100% chance.

And just to let you guys know, ALL the casinos in my jurisdiction say the same things in public advertising campaigns. So far, my sig campaign manager has not PM'ed me telling me to quit bashing gambling. Nobody wins gambling, so lets stop pretending anyone here makes a living gambling online.

Excellent thread. Congratulations for it. Maybe the people who will read is will decide to not gamble more (they who gamble). The finish of every gambling game is the loss of ALL the money. Period.

If you have big enough bankroll and you know how to manage it you can make some cash from gambling.
