Gambling is a difficult issue because if it is done in moderation and only on occasion, it is a waste of money, but it is not necessarily evil. People waste money on all sorts of activities. Gambling is no more or less of a waste of money than seeing a movie (in many cases), eating an unnecessarily expensive meal, or purchasing a worthless item. At the same time, the fact that money is wasted on other things does not justify gambling. Money should not be wasted. Excess money should be saved for future needs or given to the Lord's work, not gambled away.

Let's be honest. Gambling should only be considered for entertainment purposes only. If you are in need of quick cash, doing hard dirty work is more often than not better than hitting up the casino sites. I see way too many people in this section try to justify their gambling habits by saying they have strategies to always win. Others on this forum will go as far as to say that they are professional gamblers, and they always win. You're fooling no one and you look stupid.

All the gambling addicts I knew in real life who claimed to win from casinos all the time had serious mental issues. I went gambling with that guy once, and he ended up blaming me for him loosing at Pai Gow poker, a game that's 100% chance.

And just to let you guys know, ALL the casinos in my jurisdiction say the same things in public advertising campaigns. So far, my sig campaign manager has not PM'ed me telling me to quit bashing gambling. Nobody wins gambling, so lets stop pretending anyone here makes a living gambling online.

Yes, on the long run you lose. That's why Professional players need to act like machines and know when to stop. However, even some Professional gamblers lose on the long run.

this is how degenerate gamblers think; they bet and lose most of the time, but they lie to themselves and everyone else. say a gambling addict loses 5000$ in one losing streak but then places one last bet and wins 50$... he will inevitably tell his friends he is UP 50$, that he WON 50$
in reality he is out of pocket 4950$ but since he is an addict he does what all addicts do. he minimizes his losses and exaggerates his winnings.

gambling's for fools you know you're going to lose, but that's the way i like it baby, i dont want to live forever.

the guys with a "system" are even worse. they need you to be just as deluded as they are. its sociopathic actually.

if you can gamble for fun and know when to quit you'll be fine. everything else is suicide

The trick is to lose less than you previously won. Gambling isn't a bad thing you just need to know when to stop.

I knew a guy who supported his entire family and lived comfortably off of just small-time gambling. I know that's not typical or something you can count on, but crazier things have happened.

This is correct and exactly the reason why I don't suggest living your life this way. You leave it up to chance and you're just as likely to end up with nothing.

Keep in mind that there are slot games that the RNG is well known to be around 97% usually. So a player knows in advance his chances and still decide to play. Casino games are not only about making money, but about the fun, the design, the sounds and the entertainment while playing.

There are games in some casinos which are so fun to play and so enjoyable, that its like any other form of entertainment.
When you go to a movie, you pay $10 for the ticket, you sit in a chair 90 minutes and you get fun
When you play roulette, you deposit $10, you play, win lose, win lose and if you lose it all after 90 min, you had fun.

if you are smart enough and you can calculate the possibilites on gambling ,maybe you can do the long run with profit , but its all depend on your luck , in my opinion long run just waste time, why we need to waste more time if we can know the result as fast as it possible? if im lose 1btc in short run , then lose , nothing to be worried , if i win then i just win , gambling is about your brain and your luckyness

LOL why bother to calculate hard mathematical equation and scientific calculation if all will depend on luck. Just bet and bet without strategy. Everyone knows that all gamblers will soon lost in the long run.

In some rare cases, betting could actually have a positive EV and you could take advantage of it if you notice it. IIRC a few sites were discovered to have rounding problem in multiplier for example, giving gamblers positive EV for a certain type of bets.

Well said, but there's always the problem of people trying to play for profit, and they eventually lose all their savings. Fun is OK, some people like to gamble for fun because it is exciting, just don't go overboard and get addicted.

The part in bold is the wonder of every owner of every casino or owner of every gamble online site. The big money mean big profits for the lasts. I don't understand how is possible to be sure that can be earned using big money and what can be the possible strategies in gambling which can make someone to win using that big money but, according to me, all those thoughts and "sure" lessons written about those things are impossible to be true. If someone can prove with facts the opposite will have my totally admiration.

Very true. And that's why gamblers should always set an amount they can afford to lose before playing while they are still rational and have a clear mind, and stop immediately when the limit is hit. It is okay to spend some money and have fun, it is not so fun when your savings, your house or your life is at risk.

I don't think the real gamblers gamble for fun .? I am a gambler myself and I could risk my monthly paycheck on guessing who will post next ,right after this post....so you see how it is .
however i managed to pull some grands in past ...its luck.

I am not too sure what "real gamblers" stands for, but many of the gamblers I met start gambling for fun and some of them become addicted and lose serious amount in the end. I personally has also been gambling for fun, spending only a small proportion of my wages on gambling each week. No offense at all, but if you can risk all your monthly wage on a bet, it is pretty unhealthy IMHO and it looks to me you are already heavily addicted. Congrats for your wins in the past anyway.

“Gambling is an act of faith of gamblers.”

There's a point when gambling turns from entertainment to addiction, very few people can tell the difference but preaching will not stop people from gambling OP. Every Cigarette pack is served with the warning that it is injurious to health, does that stops them? people smoke every day knowing that they might someday develop a cancer and die from it.

Let people make their own mistakes and hope that they learn from it.
