I just downloaded the wallet but is super slow to sync ( i downloaded the blockchain file). it says 13 weeks behind for the last 5 hours.

Have you tried closing the wallet then opening it back up?

that is about i am doing the last 2 hours... and it takes about 3 minutes till it opens the wallet stuck on "Loading index"
You need to do a defragmentation. I use HDD and wallet opens blazingly fast.

My power went out and the wallet gives me an error and closes when I try and open it.  It's done this before and I just let it reload the blockchain and it's good to go again.

I have noticed that for that first minute after I open the wallet, it syncs like crazy.  After a minute or 2, it almost seems to slow to a standstill.  If I close it and open it again, it will tear through the blocks for a few minute, then its right back to a trickle.

Is that normal, or do I have some configurations out of whack?
Yep is a bug. Download latest blockchain backup for fast sync and restart wallet everytime when sync slowdown. Also you can put masternodes list from my previous post to transfer.conf

Latest blockchain backup: https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/transfercoin/Transfer.rar

I downloaded the wallet TX and it opens normally.
but the "transfer" file can not open, the message "unknown or damaged file" appears. Does anybody know how to solve this?
I use windows 7

What you mean? To unpack backup you need 7-Zip or Winrar.

I have winrar, but when I try to open the file "transfer.rar", it gives error.

it's like a corrupted file. so I can not sync my wallet.

Is not there anyone having this problem?

I downloaded the wallet yesterday and since then I downloaded the file 5 times and it always presents the same error.

Extracts just fine here. Try latest 7-zip.

How many coins do we need to run a masternode? This is looking like an interesting project and has popped up as one of the best investments of January 2018.

TX masternode requires 10000 coins which is worth approx 20000$ at this moment.

I have had Masternodes since April and they have been very good to me as well. Do recommend getting the slightly more expensive ones on OVH, because the cheapest ones tend to crash after a couple of months.

Hello there everyone! Hey, I am a real newbie to the cryptocurrency world so excuse my silly or dumb questions.  In fact, I just have one question for you guys if you don't mind helping me out.  First of all, infernoman started a great thread on this coin.  Second, I bought some Transfer Coins on Bittrex about a month ago and transferred them to the TX Wallet BEFORE I synced up or even downloaded the TX Wallet!!!  How do I sync my TX Wallet?  Balances, Darksend and Recent Transactions all say "Out of Sync" next to them.  How am I supposed to sync them all?  On the bottom of the wallet it says "Syncing with Network", but it never syncs or even moves.  There is no bar to gauge the syncing process.  Can you guys help me?  I would really, really appreciate it!!  Have a great day. Thank you in advance!

For fast syncing you need to download this archive > https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/transfercoin/Transfer.rar
Extract archive to TX folder in your system which contain transfer.conf and your wallet.dat (something like this on Windows 7 "C:\Users\YourUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Transfer")
Also you need to add nodes to transfer.conf:

When wallet syncing is going slowly you can restart wallet. You may have to repeat this action several times until a full synchronization.
