Is it even possible to make a living by selling bitcoins?

Back when you could mine hundreds of bitcoins in a day by just using your CPU and keeping it up until the ATH and sell it by then. If you have, say a thousand bitcoins and you've sold it at $1100, you could easily make $1.1 million dollars out of it--enough to provide for your needs for many years. As of the current times, it is not a very good way to make a living out of bitcoins unless you have a very popular service that many people are utilizing or using.

well it will always depends on where did you live, there is zones on the world where you can live with less than 1 bitcoin/monthly, ofc being humble.

Yes however I guess it depends on the countries , you can't do much on USA , UK , Qatar ,Dubai , France if you ask me .
however in my country for example ,the minimum payout here (if we convert it to USD) is 180$ and people could live with that , it would be hard but they do their best . so something like 1 BTC should do just fine .
Note that on my country most of people have houses (there is no rent) , they all own houses because goverment give houses to those who don't have money and for those who do , they give them cheap houses .

It is possible, but bitcoin maybe will not last longer
And you cant put all your money in bitcoins and waiting the price to rise.
I think it is possible but you should have lots of money to start with, wait for a crash and buy a lot.

If you have 10.000+ Bitcoins then yes you can make living by selling them.
If you trust banks you may cash out them and use compound interest etc.

why 20, 1 btc is 240, with 4 btc you can already have a decent life, if you can afford those every month

3 antminers s7 can do(almost) this if electricity is 0

I would be very interested if you can show me where I can get 4BTC/month for literally free.
Same goes for S7 and free electricity.

Is it even possible to make a living by selling bitcoins?

Yes, but only if you can acquire your bitcoin for less than you're selling them for. And then you'd need to calculate the margin between your cost and your revenue to arrive at your profit - which would determine if you could "make a living" doing it.

The challenge is that it's difficult to buy bitcoin today (any single moment time) for significantly less than anyone would want to buy them from you. So you'd have to either mine the bitcoin or acquire it now, wait for the price to rise and then sell it.

The latter idea is what many, many people are currently doing - and it does not yet "make a living" for anyone.

The hard part is where are people getting these places with 0 electricity costs. I do not understand it as most landlords if it's included would not be happy if your bills had multi-hundred more then past tenets in electricity.

Only places I have that did not measure were student housing.  And they were pretty expensive really.  Great housing but not cheap and not a lot of power to play around with.

I really don't get this thread and your question? I am pretty sure that others were answering without knowing what you wanted to ask OP?

The only thing that makes sense to me is that you are interested in trading bitcoins, buying and selling them maybe on localbitcoins and living of the sales difference. But even this would depend of living expenses and in which country do you live?

I assume the OP is talking about selling via Localbitcoins or something like that. In that case your concerns will be spread and volume and the right place to buy them from at the right time.

There appear to be professional traders on there but you'd be working awful hard and dealing with a lot of flaky assholes. You'd need your bank accounts and local regulation in order too otherwise you'd be shut down rapidly. There's gotta be easier livings to be had out there but it's quite possible.

A lot of the exchanges if the suspect you selling on localbitcoins they will close your account.  So you really would need to find a way to get BTC regulary other then a echange.

I'm speaking about US specifically.  As if you are selling BTC from say coinbase they will not like that.  It has to do with KYC they have to do a lot to keep legal.  I also suggest you look into laws a lot of times if you do localbitcoins in US it could be considered money laundering.

That depends on whether you want to live small or live big...which way are you looking?

If you are not mining them the hard part will be getting BTC for low and selling high.   Buy low and sell high some will say as if it's simple but the value changes rapidly. So a profit is not a sure thing.

Also those who sell bitcoin have a heck of a premium, as sadly it's a high fraud area.   I personally only mine or buy from exchange.

yeah, was an ideal scenario, but he can add two more antminer s7 to overcome the electricity cost, if it is around 0.05, otherwise better forget tohe mining and go with job--->exchange fiat to bitcoin

Yes it is possible, but of course you need to have the bitcoins first

(is this thread a "how to earn BTC thread" in disguise?)

Depends on your regions prices. For me I would need 2 btc/month to have a decent life, however I cant earn that much online , so it will take more time to reach that level.
