okay here is the info I have for the stats idea

so ck has not commented on public API for his pool
Now  maybe it is a lot of coding for ck to do.
On the plus side if he provides one we can do this idea.
Other people could make pool/clubs  say an s-3 club or an avalon club or a dare I say it BFL club.

I do not have any idea of the work needed for a public API  but I think we are dead in the water on this until we learn more..

oh here is our address on the new site.

No one mentioned this to me, and I don't monitor every post on every thread. There's no API code for the solo pool so it would be quite a lot of work. The pool code on solo is totally separate from the web component which just exposes the pool logs. In short I have no plans to implement an API for it I'm sorry to say as it just doesn't fit the design without a large code injection and subsequent testing.

Awesome, people, we got to 0.1BTC already!

Now hopefully the software will work out.  I'm looking forward to shiny graphics, it will make things look official.   Cool

Were at .11 right now would be really nice if we hit the .30 for each person in it, but not sure that will happen.

It is very positive to see how the club is able to work together to get the .1 .   Shows we have a pretty good set of people in the group I think.

This club isn't exactly reinventing the wheel here but is refreshing the spirit of what this is all about.
I don't go back too far into the start of things but it is nice to see a community working together as it should.
We all hope BTC sky-rockets again soon but it's fun in the meanwhile to have time to play.

Agree.

Now if Armory will let me send some, instead of giving me "this transaction was rejected" message. I'm rebuilding and scanning the database, hoping it's just out of sync or got a little scrambled.

Continued adventures of a new person. I had a network hiccup and my miner went offline. I'm trying to reconnect but I keep getting an error that says "Failure to resolve...solo.ckpool.org:3333". I know I'm using a correct web address because i'm copy/pasting from ck's website.

Any ideas? Have I configured it wrong somehow?

There will always be other ways of helping this club, don't fret if it doesn't work.  I'm sure everyone
will agree, give a fish to a hungry person he eats for a week, teach a hungry person to fish he eats
the rest of his life philosophy works better here.

Not sure exactly how Minera / Cgminer works but I could never get it working by adding the pool address manually.  Are you able to create a config or run from terminal command?  Either way you will need --compac-freq xxxx line in there somewhere.

Ping doesn't look good? But I am connected to the internet according to ifconfig Huh
http://s18.postimg.org/awantf0c9/ping.jpg

I don't know how to create a config file in cgminer without already being in it. Is there a way to do that without starting the program? I saw the option to write one when I had it working the other day.

When I put in

it says "sudo ./cgminer: command not found"

man i have no idea how I ever got this to work in the first place!

Did you "cd cgminer-gekko" before putting the above in?

Just noticed your using minera, so don't know if you need to change into cgminer-gekko or not?.

Yes...do what Jake36 said..  You need to be in the root cgminer or cgminer-gekko folder to run your command line.

cd cgminer-gekko
then your command line like this:  sudo ./cgminer ......

Not sure exactly how Minera / Cgminer works but I could never get it working by adding the pool address manually.  Are you able to create a config or run from terminal command?  Either way you will need --compac-freq xxxx line in there somewhere.

When I put in

sudo ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1JiWuyX94wrCr7JhkAn7x5qNMCEef1KhqX.baktegonStick --compac-freq 200

it says "sudo ./cgminer: command not found"

man i have no idea how I ever got this to work in the first place!

Did you "cd cgminer-gekko" before putting the above in?

Just noticed your using minera, so don't know if you need to change into cgminer-gekko or not?.

Are you using the minera that was built for compacs? It's in the compac thread they did it where you should just need to put in pool in GUI and it detects compacs.  It is as simple as putting image on sd card for RPI.

I personally use raspbian as I like the linux feel.

I don't know if there's a cgminer-gekko directory, I can't find it if there is.

I am using the cgminer-gekko Minera image but I never got it to see my compacs.  For the month i've just been running cgminer in a terminal window. I may re-image my SD card to plain raspbian and install cgminer-gekko that way. Clearly i've been running on luck this entire time!
