How many of you can admit that buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of your life? I can. I'm approximately -50% in fiat funds now.
Sooner or later some type of bank chain or coin will come and gain mass adoption - while bitcoin still remaining a geek coin
to buy weed.
I know this forum is more like a cult than a information channel what comes to honest opinions but I know there's others
on this forum who feel the same, almost all of us. Don't let your cult believer ego come in the way.

Well, the problem is... you bought them to hold. and the worst was you bought them at a bad time. You bought them when they were still pretty expensive and now you will have to wait if you want to see your other half of investment come back to your pocket. But don't dispair, if you hold them I'm pretty sure that the price will only go higher and higher from now on. You could see some retracements, and that's pretty a healthy event in any market. So, my advice is, hold them, hold them tight cause I really believe it will be possible for you will get at least double of your investment.

Agree that he bought them up at a bad time.  Disagree with holding them.  It is rather foolish to purchase coins to do anything else but to hold them.  It is an investment or risk that you are trying to take.  Holding is the only way in the world for that to work.

Its been a while since i got into bitcoin and at first i bought Bitcoin to buy hardware. I bought Bitcoin at 600$ at some point, but i did not hold them, i reinvested them, so now i'm earning what i bought in coin at that time every other month.

I think holding Bitcoin before you're sure of its base value is a mistake, meanwhile if you double your Bitcoin every year through investments, you'll end up with so much more money in 10-20 years if bitcoin really go up than letting bitcoin sit, collecting virtual dust for all that time.

Buying bitcoin is always not worst because if you have some patience then wait for a month or 2 months it may become some increases in your bitcoins. As i purchased 1 bitcoin when the bitcoin price rate is 211$ and now the bitcoin price is 271$ then just think how the bitcoin turns day to day.

Somehow he should have known what could happen. Dont expect too much of what you have. BE READY and be intelligent of what could happen. Stay positive.

But many people who have bought bitcoin in the range of $900 to $500 might need to wait more patiently for their buying rate at least. But in my opinion they must buy some more now so that they can get better average price. While selling also we should not sell at once.

I don't care about what Bitcoin's worth. Bitcoin will never grow if everyone looks how much it is worth fiat money. Maybe you're losing thousand dollars everyday because 1$ lose 0,00045€ value everyday, but does it hurt you ?

Well it's easy for you to say that when you didn't lose half of your investment. This however hurts quite a lot when it happens.

I know it's OP's fault that he got into this investment when Bitcoin was in a bubble, but however a bit of compassion is not bad to have and show.

I've already lose money, and more than the half ! Hopefully it was not a lot of money, so I have stayed here. This is why only invest what you can afford to lose. This is what I did and it worked fine for me. I didn't had to sell my car or my house to cover my debts. Just was sad a moment.

People place all their eggs into one basket and then think, why did I do that.  It wasn't buying Bitcoins that was a bad decision.  It was your lack of understanding that was bad.  You could have replaced this with any trend and you probably would have done the same thing.  Always have a plan when it comes to your money.

I guess it's the same when people (older than my generation) look at photos of themselves back in high school in the 70's and think, "Why the fuck did I wear those bell bottom jeans?", and of course, "Mutton Chops with a mullet? Wow, I really looked like a tool, how did I ever come to the conclusion of rocking that look?"

But then we get back to this question... what if it slowly but surely gets to the $1,000+ range again?  Will people just assume that the same bubble was/is formed and automatically cash out?

I don't know, i haven't really made much money off of bitcoin but I have had a lot of fun on the forums here with you guys and thats worth every penny I've spent on BTC and more. (Even the scamming douche bags)

Also i've collected some pretty cool SWAG over my time here, like bitcoin shirts, physical coins, and stuff like that. Also the negotiation and scam detection experience I've gathered over my time here has been priceless. So I'd say that even if I don't break even fiat wise I've more than gotten my moneys worth and profited in a way cooler way Cheesy

Yep, I'd say this is the best way to generate an income for yourself, but the thread is more focused on dealing with the pain of buying at such a high price from earlier and losing half of your investments... But in general, with signatures, you could possibly make up for your loss... it'll take a lot of time, and effort... though in the long run you can make it back (and possibly even faster if you invest in the right places).

Just a side note of curiousity though... where do you invest?

Nice!  Yes, it has been really fun and exciting at times.  The educational value and experiences I've had dealing in crypto has been awesome.  Many people overlook how valuable the experience they've gained by being an early adopter really can be.  The way the world commerces is going digital and we're positioned to be the first to profit when the time is right.  Early bird gets the worm!!!!

Planning to buy a new gpu for my rig so that I can mine altcoins better then exchange to bitcoins after. Bitcoin has definitely changed my life for the better, and I don't think that I would be better off without bitcoin, seeing that it has given me a lot of opportunities.

I wonder still people are ready to investing in making mining rigs. But that's the great effort if you can manage with electricity costs and other maintenance costs like pool fees. Long back itself I stopped mining and still my GPU sleeping in my racks.

I had bought some btc this year ,invested roi and converted into fiat, soo now ahead i collect my bitcoin from signatures and some others places, and i invest them all ,this wont make me rich but at the moment is the easy way to get an income without clicking ads, surfing websites or give my money to hyip admin soo bitcoin is changing my life to better these days.

Bitcoin has in many ways turned into a part-time hobby for me. You started out with GPU mining and you spend hours to perfect the rig and the cooling systems to maximize the profits. Then ASIC's came in and you had to start from scratch.

Most of this including cloud mining never returned your investment, but you kept on trying for that big break. It turned out to be a great hobby and a good story to tell. The experience is worth the ride.  Cool
