Just curious if there were any plans in the works for the next "official" Bitcoin Conference?

I think the Bitcoin Foundation is planing on organizing one. But I'm sure there could be others too.

See in the goals section of the letter from the executive director:

Given that there's quite obviously a Bitcoin Conference Curse (BCC) actively claiming the organizers within months of the conference's declared success/realized failure (remember the 2011 one, right before Bruce Wagner's wallet thing?) anyone even contemplating this is a brave soul indeed.

Needs to be in the US.  More media coverage.  2012 was a disaster in terms of coverage.  They were meeting in bars?  Really?  Running around trying to find meeting cause rooms had been canceled.

Hope it is a little more professionally planned.

Seriously, http://www.pawsup.com/groups/montana-conference-facilities.php#.UKPnO-Q0WSo

Tack meets Tech Expo 2013

or Tack Meets Tech: Expo2013

EDIT: I'm now leaning toward Tack & Tech: 2013 (or Tack&Tech:2013)

Sorry to use this account (Electrum) but I've lost my password.

The conference I'm making as a successor to the London one is called unSYSTEM (1-3 Nov, Vienna).
Sorting things out before we announce:

http://unsystem.net/

It's going to be a bitcoin conference for the general public. Uou can see what Vice magazine wrote about our conference in London last year:

http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/printable-guns-grey-matters-and-masked-hackers

The Bitcoin Foundation guys are also doing a US based conference:

http://www.bitcoin2013.com/

I think both conferences will be good, if you can make them.

Where? Was it taken off?

Also, why isn't the unSYSTEM clearly identified as a bitcoin conference?
