There hasn't been an attack large enough to drop any of our clients, and believe me our clients get a lot of really big attacks 24/7.

What do you mean by "big attacks"? What size? Also, were they on the free plan when the attacks came?

I might be interested in this then.

Well some of our clients get hit by 750Kr/s layer 7 attacks as well as 100Gb/s+ Layer 4 attacks.

Some of them were using free plans.

All were mitigated with no problems.

Would I need to upgrade if I get a bigger attack than the average for free websites?

You have no knowledge of DDoS.

OVH Does not provide any layer 7 mitigation, which is the difficult part.

Please post your uneducated bull shit else where.

Your website is hosted with OVH, so yes, basically, you ARE a reseller Wink  Buying a DDoS protected server doesn't necessarily mean becoming a provider.

Also, care to elaborate what "750Kr/s" is?  Grin

We don't resell anything we have a partnership with OVH.

We write out own DDoS protection firewall scripts which is why our services stay online.

750kR/s it a measurement of requests per second.

It seems you don't understand layer 7 attacks.

You seem to associate DDoS protection with layer 4 only (of which OVH provides no protection at this level).

Well, this escalated quickly.

So you do acknowledge knowingly attacking a website with a purpose of knocking it off? Do you understand that this is illegal in most countries? Wink

Grin Do your "partners" know that you host booters with them?

I believe your "free" service is worth a try, but if anybody's got anything serious to protect, they definitely should go elsewhere.
