You could always just call support and have them fix it for you.

Got it working eventually through both paypal and interac.
Unreal -- definitely a currency for eggheads. I feel that's the reason it isn't more universally popular.

that's why i recommend for new user to download core directly and use that at first, you don't need armory or other spv at first, you can play with them later i know there is the boring synching wait, but you can speed it up with a good ssd, everyone has oen nowaday

Am using quickbit with Multibit HD to do interac to bitcoin.
Did a <0.25B transaction yesterday from quickbt.com that took about one minute to convert to come through.
Today I did a 0.25B transaction (apparently the max) that, after three + hours, is still "receiving."
Is this normal for interac transactions? I thought they were supposed to be fairly speedy.

Many quick BTC purchase services are prone to having transaction manually approved or the wallet manually refilled. If you want reliable BTC purchase at little fee, you're going to have to deal with a reliable exchange. I never heard of quickbt before, the only reliable quick BTC purchase service i used was Circle and i don't use it anymore because of the fees.

So I'm finding this about as simple as trying to program a monkey-driven rocket trip to Pluto.
Trying to get bitcoin today.
Went the paypal route to VirWox, put in a transaction that supposedly went through.
Downloaded Armory wallet.
Then had to download bitcoin, since I got a message directing me to do that.
Nothing in the Armory wallet from the paypal transaction though.
So I then try to fire off an interac-transfer through quickbt.com
Again, transaction goes through, but nothing in Armory wallet.
Armory is giving me this message "Downloading via Armory CDN", and a torrent rate, along with "7 hours" (was 8 earlier).
Can someone please advise me as to what is going on, and also if there is any possibility of actually getting some bitcoin today, please advise on that method as well.
Thank you.
Dude when you download a wallet software ...they always download all the transactions from starting blocks to blocks now....so u have to wait to get the blocks downloaded

Armory also is full verification, according to bitcoin.org. Tho most others are indeed SPV- Simplified Payment Verification.

When you say It's not making it have you looked at the address on a site like blockchain? I would suggest looking there and seeing if transaction made it to address.

I see you are a newbie, yes, you should not start with armory, because you need to download the blockchain and its hard for newbies. Try electrum, and import your wallet there. You will see your money there instantly, electrum is a lightweight client, no download needed. https://electrum.org/#download
