For me personally, (although I'm only new to this), is the lack of being able to use it in everyday life like cash or card.
This is one of the few reason why people are not using bitcoin because there are few or no shop available for you to spend your coins with. In my perspective, using bitcoin does not mean spending. Even there are not enough opportunities to spend bitcoins in your region, you must hold your bitcoins for future. Holding is also a way of using bitcoins. Yes, using bitcoins definitely sounds good as adopting bitcoins. To start using bitcoin, there is no requirement of bitcoin accepting merchants or bitcoins ATMs. Anyone in this world can start using bitcoins right away without worrying about spending of it. |

So after reading this article and especially the ending: One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands. I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin? And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it. The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy? I think people stop using Bitcoin because it can take a while before you make some progress and start to make some real money out of it. People just do not have the patient for it. |

Fear of losing money
Yes, there is a fear in the heart of people that if they bought a large amount of bitcoin and kept them in their wallets and if the price of bitcoin dropped then they will lose significantly some money. |

Volatility I think doesn not play a significant role when you use Bitcoin as we have payment processors like Bitpay. Ease of use however is indeed a problem. At the moment only tech savvy people are able to use and handle Bitcoin accurately. So some user interface designers are highly welcome. |

Yes and maybe also they know that it exist but dont know anything else what is within it or what it can do. I guess they are too busy working themself too. I think the activity in real life could make you stop using bitcoin. because bitcoin is only available on the internet. we certainly cannot use the internet at any time. especially if the state is busy in real life. it makes us do not have time to make transactions in bitcoin. so busyness can stop you from bitcoin #IMO |

They will stop using Bitcoin if they know that you can lose a lot of money with Bitcoin and if the value will not rise and that the value is keeping stable because that is not good.
If you started to use Bitcoin you must also know that it can take a really long time to get some profit, it is not that easy to make that money fast.
So it will be nice if you can have some profit with Bitcoin, you have only to wait and see.

People stop using Bitcoin because the prices are sometimes to expensive, not everyone can pay $400 for some bitcoins. And it can take a while before you make your money back with a profit.

Strange answer, just think who will lose the money in the form of bitcoin they have? Bitcoin is a currency and with a currency those who use it normal; no risk of lose. Or if they are traders; they know well how to benefit even in price drop. |

Question is what stopping people from using bitcoin but u answered on question "disadvantages of bitcoin" well if the price falls it doesnt mean that after a day or two it will grow back again easily because if the price was so predictable people would make a lot of money out of that i believe people dont want to use it when they here the crimes that are done with bitcoins on their local news, so they are a bit scared that they might have troubles with law |
