The price of bitcoin changes too much. I buy one bitcoin and the next day, the price drops 5%. It is not good for me.
Yeah, this is not good but now is the time when itcin will grow up, you will notice within a few days that the value of your bitcoin will have increased by a some good percent.

Price ups and downs will always be a part of bitcoin, a smart person who believes in bitcoin will never listen to this rumors and he will continue to invest in it even if price drops to $100.

People stop using Bitcoin because the prices are sometimes to expensive, not everyone can pay $400 for some bitcoins. And it can take a while before you make your money back with a profit.
if you are poor you can do a variety of ways to earn bitcoin mate, there are many ways you can do which that way it is free, moreover there on the outside many wealthy investors, they are ready to big disburse if bitcoin has a high potential,,

It all depends on how you use Bitcoin. If you just buy and hold your coins for a certain period of time, then nothing happens if the value drops a bit. Just make sure you don't sell. As long as you don't sell, you won't lose anything. If you buy and plan to send a certain amount the next day to some one, or to buy something, then yes, it's not nice to see the value go down a bit.

That is the right thing for a person with a lot of faith in bitcoin. But some just cant. The idea of the "what if" is what will stop them. What if it falls. What if I lose all my bitcoin. What if etc etc.

1) It's to expensive for someone to have. $400 is a lot for only 1 btc in common people's mind, so Starting in bitcoin is pretty expensive.
2) There's still people that didn't know bitcoin. So, making bitcoin more popular maybe could make people using it.
3) They didn't understand technology at all (even using smartphone is hard to them). That makes them still using fiat because they understand it.

I agree with 2,3. But first one is that you don't have to buy whole bitcoin, do you? you can buy 0.01 or 0.1 and that's not expensive

Perception, as mentioned by a number of other people, is an important part of it too.
A lot of people still associate it with bad things because of press coverage in certain quarters & governments claiming IS uses it...
Counter that by pointing out the number of charities which accept it for donations.

I didn't heard the news that IS using the bitcoin. Proper awareness is not spread among all the people in the world. Those people who knows well about bitcoin won't give such statements. But those who don't have much idea about bitcoin believe all these.

I think why people are not using the bitcoin is because the bitcoin itself has a good future but people think its bad because of the media that is saying all kind of bad things about it. I think that is honestly the best reason I can come up with these days.

So after reading this article and especially the ending: One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands. I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin? And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it. The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy? The fact is that the prices are not attracting the people enough. At the moment the price is not really that low so people will buy coins or that high so people will sell coins.

People will start using bitcoin when: - They can buy everyday items
- BTC is accepted everywhere
- There is motive to keep BTC - e.g. discounts
- Price is not so volatile

Because i think the big price for each bitcoin is why people still using bitcoin until now, If the bitcoin's price down to $50 per bitcoin, people will stop using bitcoin

I think why people are not using the bitcoin is firstly because of the point people think its used by criminals. The second thing I'm thinking is that they are thinking its just not understandable the most people think its too difficult to step in and invest in the bitcoin itself.

no one can stop people using bitcoin. bitcoin provide convenience to its users. bitcoin provides comfort and security. people will start leaving the current conventional transaction.
bitcoin took it's place very well and wining more people's heart and mind every day. bitcoin is very attractive because of it's price, security and lots of earning opportunities.. I think people wont stop using it although more people getting involved in it. Yes people are really loving bitcoin with its features and how easy it is to use on some occasions like sending money its fast and has less fees. yeah I admit bitcoin has a sophisticated technology but something must be a shortage of bitcoin. Nah it probably could be an internal factor for people to stop using bitcoin of course there are also external factors that make people stop using bitcoin such as the prohibition of states to use bitcoin, I think it could be a factor in a person stops using bitcoin

You got it right friend, that's it the media is the hindrance and making some bad articles regarding bitcoins. But they can't stop it many people are using it now all over the world and it is more becoming famous than we think. So mainly the reason why people are stopping using bitcoin is maybe they are simply lack of knowledge of bitcoin.

With the prices going up some people just can not afford to buy these bitcoins anymore. This is why I hope the halving is going to happen. This will attract more people to use and buy bitoins. It has to happen soon other wise more and more people will leave.

I do not think this is true because the fact is that the price is now even lower than normal and the price is attractive for people. I even must say last month I even saw more people investing than normally, so I think that is a sign it is not the price that is the problem. The problem is laying in the media in my opinion the media always tried to make the bitcoin black, they always say its used my criminals and all that kind of stuff but which currency is not used by criminals right....
