The fact that making money can be a slow process whit Bitcoin. Most people want to make fast and easy money and do not have the patient for something that takes time like Bitcoin talk. Maybe they tried Bitcointalk and saw that it goes pretty slow so they left.
What are you saying mate? Bitcoin is the only currency that gives an opportunity to make quick money, and if you don't know how to do that then you still need to explore your knowledge related to bitcoin. As suggested bitcoin gives very fast earning as well a long time earning. It's completely upon us, we need to explain users the cause of quick earning. So better stay strong and give hope to the regular people. It depends on an individual how he looks at the scenario around him, people who wants to take advantage will always treat bitcoin as an opportunity and rest will think it as a threat. |

Bitcoins are mostly used by everyone now a days and the only people who do not use or do not want to use it are worried about the technical details, do not we all know how difficult it is to understand BTC completely ?

I think the main factor that could be stopping people is the volatility of the price of bitcoin. Because the price is constantly changing, for better or worse, is the reason I would assume companies are hesitant.

It is now the governments are stopping their citizens from using bitcoin. Countries like Russia, Venzeulua and I even think some part in China since they are still under communist rule.
I would also think North Korea as they don't like western contact/influence.

Russia doesn't care iirc, Venezuela and China don't like it to my knowledge. I think the reasoning with China is that it allows for people to get their money out without being taxed, and the government is trying to reap those sweet $2/h min. wage taxes. |

It's the fear of the unknown / uncertain and lack of knowledge about the bitcoin technology. It's a fairly new currency and people are still skeptical as to its stability. Maybe when the time comes that people are more aware and can see the advantages of using them, will bitcoin be a part of our daily lives.

Most people are not aware of it. Similarly most of the shopkeepers also do not know about this currency. So their are not much options to spend the bitcoins. For this reason, People tends to save the coins rather than spending it.

They always lose in betting they lose 1bitcoin..
They not know that theres free bitcoin in faucet site.
They lose in trading..
faucet is an exhausted and boring way to get along with bitcoin, the payment is low af, full of scam. captcha is getting shitty. not know about faucet maybe lucky and prevent losing interest in bitcoin. |

Anyway bitcoin is using in Russia and other CIS countires, goverment can't stop people using bitcoin cause they can't know about it. Only you will come and tell them that you are bitcoin user, lol Bitcoin is being used by at least few users from each country of the world. No government can stop it's users from the using of bitcoin. Only when government gets some loss due to bitcoin, further restrictions becomes effective. |

People tend to fear the unknown, because the aren't informed about bitcoin, they fear that it's a scam or smth. Without proper knowledge about bitcoin, you'll never understand its advantages over fiat money. And because the majority of people are too lazy to study bitcoin, then they just ignore it.

The fact that you have to wait so long before something is happening with the price of Bitcoin. This annoys me as well and I thought about stopping with Bitcoin sometimes.
Especially when I need the money I want to sell everything but at the same time I think about what the price could be in the future.
It makes no sense to quit using Bitcoin just because there is no way to predict the price. The recent stability in the price offers people a good amount of time to either buy or unload plenty of coins if they so wish. Use it in your advantage. Exactly and I don't this is the right time to sell everything, in fact this is perfect time for buying, price is rising slowly at a moment, we can expect better price in future. Yes the price has touched 1000$ already and I honestly and really expect BTC to touch it again and go even higher. I am saving some bitcoins already and want the price to increase as soon as possible. |

So after reading this article and especially the ending: One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands. I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin? And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it. The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy? Cool article..wish there would be more discussions like this.. |

According to my views the only thing which is going to stop people from its adoption is its price volatility, it is observed that now the price is going to upward and will continue till halving but after halving there is a fear that the price will once again come back just like 2013 rise of bitcoin price.

Yes the price has touched 1000$ already and I honestly and really expect BTC to touch it again and go even higher. I am saving some bitcoins already and want the price to increase as soon as possible. Now the price is touching 448 dollar, it need more time to rise untill the 1k dollars again, to be honest peoples are to scared to using bitcoin, bitcoin's volatile nature is the one reason why majority of them stoping using bitcoin, some of them has lost when mtgox accident |

People are not using bitcoin due to ignorance or because they are not aware of its existence.There are also people who are afraid to use technology when it comes to money.There still are millions of people who dont use credit card as well

People are going to stop using Bitcoin if they are going to lose to much money and that is quite logic but it can also be their own fault because they can be also too greedy.
And if you are greedy you are going to sell it too early and so you can lose some money and that would be not good, so the price must rise to also motivate people.
