What's stopping people from using bitcoin?

People always scared when something new happening, it's hard to begin first time, i think it's main reason. Other reasons is individual for everybody and i don't really know what is it.

Some people didnt know internet as well now they make a living from it ,we need to give time to people understand bitcoin and know it,and well the fact it just be digital may be another problem,as people wanna feel the power in hands the printed money ,but being able to pay your bill with your cellphone using just a code scanner sounds like matrix,ahead of time ,and some people arent ready for it.

I think because of the price fluctuations, they fear of bitcoin price decreases drastically, and also people will start using something when it becomes more popular and they will give it a try, bitcoin is something revolutionary and i think defnetly in future people will start using bitcoin on a daily basis.

i am asking everyone to please contribute and add any websites you know of that accept bitcoin for PHYSICAL goods, with category and description if possible. But please no virtual services lik vpn or webhosting, and no free website links.

i think people is scared about if bitcoin will be dead when they start investing in bitcoin and in trade i think that people don't trade with bitcoin because you don't know who is the customer so it have a high risk of scam so that is why some people don't use btc

Bitcoin acceptance is about daily use, dealing with your coins in the same way as you use FIAT in your life, forget  about speculative part of bitcoin and advanced applications, mining etc.
If reputable company accepts bitcoin payment you don't have to worry about being scammed.

Of course, if reputable companies adopt bitcoin, bitcoin will become stronger and the price will go higher. There is no doubt about it. I will be popular and there is no stopping people from using it anymore. It will be treated as how they treat fiat. It will be used in daily expenses.

Exactly, lack of knowledge is a big issue here, as many people have not even heard about bitcoin so its difficult to expect that they will start using it.

Yeah lack of knowledge seems the issue why people doubting to use bitcoin and they are afraid to stake with it because they are afraid to lose their money because they dont know where to go and where to ask if they have problems about bitcoin and some other people are not really aware to it and seems it new to their eyes.

I have used the bitcoin to buy things online. It is very easy to use. I think the retailer used the Bitpay system.

I think a reason by the lack of adoption is that you need to go out of your way for buying some. You will only need Bitcoin when you actually need it. Besides some niche markets, there really isn't a huge demand for Bitcoin which Credit Cards do.

I think people just dont see it as an actual currency. Also it goes up and down in price all the time. But the biggest probelm for me is the
confirmation time . Some shop will honor the payment when they see the transaction on the blockchain (within seconds) but for larger purchases retailer needs 3+ confirmation which sometimes ends up being an hour.

That's is definitely true. I agree with you, people needs to know first all the things about bitcoin or not all the things either but some of the basic things about bitcoin, mostly, that bitcoin that be exchange into real money.
If people will understand that it can help them to get into bitcoin.

I think that a lot of people have heard about Bitcoin but they haven't investigated anymore than that. That is the real reason people don't use Bitcoin.

There's a lot of truth to this statement.  It's getting it into peoples hands in the first place which is an issue.  When they've got it, they'll use it, so we need to develop use cases which compel people to acquire it, not necessarily through going out and buying it, but by selling their goods and services in exchange for it.

If you know a web developer or someone that sells their services online, put them on to something like Open bazaar and see what happens.

Until people in general actually feels the need to use crypto currencies, mass adoption will just be a dream, or a hope at the most. There's no actual demand right now and maybe part of that is the lack of knowldege, fear over uncertainty and instability.

Even I don't know anyone who used bitcoin before and stopped using it. I don't agree that people stopping from using bitcoin.. It is little difficult for new user to start using bitcoin. because the do not know how to start using bitcoin and where to earn bitcoin. but if some one start using bitcoin. then he won't stop using it.

People are stopping using Bitcoin when they see that they can earn profit with it and that is bad because they have to wait a longer time for a price increase.
And that is because people are greedy this time and that is bad for them.
