Most people don't know that bitcoin even exist, the people that do know about bitcoin could be not using bitcoin due to some reason, they don't understand the concept of bitcoin and they are afraid of losing money when they start to invest into it then they don't know anyone who are into bitcoin, so if something goes wrong, they won't know who to turn to wrong or they just don't believe bitcoin would be a benefit to them...

People are using the bitcoin for profit but some people do not want to step in because they are simply thinking its a wasted time.
The most of them are not sure about the bitcoin and are scared to lose money because of it.
ya need to be improved is the way people think about bitcoin. Most people may be a little frightened by the word bitcoin. people think is bitcoin is not recommended to use by the government. There are number of reason which is stopping people from using Bitcoins. The main reason is ignorance of knowledge and existence of bitcoins.
We should teach about bitcoin in business colleges that would be really interesting. In the developing countries, no one would even consider going online because internet is expensive and it is a privileged to have one. So bitcoin wouldn't really be known by many people But the way the dollar grew, im confident the bitcoin will grow as well. It only began in 2004 after all; its only been 12 years.
Yeah, I am also feeling a need of some academies and computer colleges and business schools to teach about bitcoin or they have to include a permanent subject/chapter about bitcoin in their syllabus, with that bitcoin will be understood all over the world and the haters will know the reality of bitcoin and will then love it. |

Exactly it has not reached to many people yet, only because they are not aware about latest technology or are not interested in knowing it, the fact is people resist change. Yes people because of so many remote places on Earth people there are hard to get with the new trend on what's happening with the technology today. I don't know if they can even touch a single keyboard or mouse. Or do they ever know what is computer. |

actually people stopping bitcoin is not really true. I believe that people are not stopping bitcoin. even I think more people coming to bitcoin everyday. can't you see every day growing of bitcoin community? lots of new things, sites, games, dice, casino building and publishing in bitcoin. if people leave bitcoin how they could possible? |

you will not know until you try Lol there are many reasons why people get out of bitcoin. clear them out for sure there is a problem that follow them. like my friend who out of bitcoin. because they were deceived from Ponzi site and spend all their bitcoin Yes that is one reason why others stopped. But I think the wrong thing about that is thinking it is the ponzi fault. They shouldve analyzed it and see to it that it is their own fault and it is a risk that they decided. |

(If your country doesn't allow bitcoin usage, then you won't be here, or you're using a VPN  ) Also, the negative references associated with bitcoin. It's like that to ban messengers, because they are used by terrorists (in Russia this draft bill was considered) Before, maybe Bitcoin and used with criminal purposes such as the darknet, and this was known, but now it is used by all! |

This is not the only reason thats why they are stopping people to use bitcoin because they are afraid from scammers.. we heard many news about scammers online so this i think the reason thats why they are stopping people to use bitcoin.. but if we see the adoption for bitcoin they will trust it again just like brazil that has 150 stores area accepting bitcoin as payment.. |

Scammers are everywhere. Why think of that as a reason why people was being stopped from using bitcoin? If those person will think about that thing then better find another way that he is really capable of. Bitcoin investment or any form of financial sources are not fit in the world of these persons. |

A key consideration is that Bitcoin is not useful for financial transactions unless it is used as a currency in the form of BTC. Most people don't have any Bitcoin, and getting them is a time consuming hassle. Just like fiat money, you need to consume time, work for it to have it and that is time consuming because it is real money and you need to work hard for it just like normal money with btc. And btc is useful for financial transactions, I don't think, it isn't useful at all. |

So after reading this article and especially the ending: One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands. I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin? And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it. The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy? While you've got the answer to the above article but I will add. People will stop using bitcoin if bitcoin scam or vanished from the earth. Because I think people will continue to use bitcoin, although security bitcoin still vulnerable. thank you |
