What's stopping people from using bitcoin?

Older generations are simply too distant from technology, but new generations will use it more and more, it will become more and more popular for sure

If it is generation dependent, it will take about 25 years for the bitcoin to be very popular among general population.

This is gonna be very hard, of course that is a mission that is almost not possible due to the fact that the bitcoin is too new for elderly.
I think it will be very hard to let elderly learn the bitcoin.

Yes why we go for old generation present generation people also struggling to understand what is Bitcoin. I tried to explain my friends and and my own brother but it's un successful. They are making fun on this bitcoin so i stopped to explain them. until and unless all online shopping sites accept this bitcoin no new people will understand what is this bitcoin.

Well for those so called 'rumors' that these people heard about the bad things and speculations about bitcoin.
It's the reason why people are stopping from using it.

No theres a reason why other people stop from bitcoin like, if they lose all of their bitcoin in gamlbing thats the main reason i think because many of my friends stopped in bitcoin in that reason. And the second reason is if they always got scammed in their investment in hyip like my friends in facebook. They stopped because many bitcoin they loose on it. And they want to stop it because they loose their real money in hyip site.

People don't use bit coins because most of them don' t know exactly what it is or the value of it maybe they don't even know how to use it. I think people are afraid to use it because they don't know much about it and you need to buy it with money, and money is there everything.
Why pay with bit coins if you can pay with cash and have more warranty.

People have because they want to have some good money later in the future and that can be nice for them, but there is a chance that you can wait a really long time for profit.
You can also do many things with Bitcoin, like buying some stuff or trade or even gamble with it, so it is also multifunctional.

Don't give up on explaining it to them. I had that time too. I've had terrible experiences at explaining what bitcoins are to my parents and my friends but now, they see me as some kind of a 'mentor' because my friends also started using bitcoins and they're always asking me what they can do with it, how they can get bitcoins and other several stuffs.

Yeah it can be hard at initial stage but if you try it continuously then you can surely divert their mind towards bitcoin and if they see it positively then they will surely start using it.

I think that people can't start using bitcoin cause they don't understand what is this or they are not interested. Sometimes people just trying to solve their poblems by doing nothing

The major fact is that they don't to invest their money in something that is totally new to them as they have fear of loosing their money and that is the reason they are not using it.

The fact that it is an online currency and not tangible made some people to stop using Bitcoin. A big chunk of people in my country are so afraid in dealing with this. They just wholeheartedly trust Banks. Also, culture usually play a significant role in the ability to accept Bitcoin (or other things) and use it (based from my experiences).

I dont think that is ever possible bitcoin will never get physical form and that is the reason its different from other currencies, when people will be aware about bitcoin they will start using it.

To my honest opinion as bitcoin works right the possibility for it to disappear isn't possible as many users around the virtual world already embrace bitcoin no wonder in the near future that this coin can work as like Credit card or an ordinary debit transaction. So those who are not using the coins now will use it in  the near future.

There is a chance it is true. But you need to know that it also has a very useful purpose and was good enough. Because the presence of the owner of the site system does not suffer losses on purchases made by people who are not responsible. On the internet a lot of people who could rip off someone's Personal Data to be used for something that hackers wanted

I think that the biggest problem is that people arent used to bitcoin,also when i tell my frinds for it they think it is a waste of time

It's the same thing as with anything on the internet. The lack of know-how - lack of interest in technology. That lack of know-how - technology - is the barrier of entry preventing anyone who doesn't have the time or genuine interest to sink their teeth in learning about these type of stuff.

I don't know how to word this better haha but experience I suppose just interest in adopting technology, to move with the trend of technology that kind of interest that'll move you to overnight study stuff you have never even heard of before for how many days of the week

I think what is people stop using is that its not accepted by a lot of people these days and it also has a bad name because of the media, these 2 things together are making it hard for the bitcoin if you ask me.

Bitcoins didn't gain much popularity as a currency because the government makes it difficult. I'm now speaking of the government of any country because when the government can't control something it is trying to destroy that something (or slow the process) some way or another.
