I think the reason why the people is stopping in using bitcoin is there own reason, They might have no time for it, They are scammed and all of their bitcoin are gone. this is a examplr only
yeah everyone has their own reasons for exit or quit bitcoin? but whatever the reason. I think it is unfortunate if you're out of bitcoin just because you're desperate because it has been lost or hit by a scam? you can still fix it and make a profit again in bitcoin |

yeah everyone has their own reasons for exit or quit bitcoin? but whatever the reason. I think it is unfortunate if you're out of bitcoin just because you're desperate because it has been lost or hit by a scam? you can still fix it and make a profit again in bitcoin There have been some people that ditched Bitcoin for whatever reason, but they always came back because they can't fully quit Bitcoin. If I look at myself for example, I really can't and don't want to ever quit Bitcoin. It offers me great features to store my wealth outside the banking system. That alone makes Bitcoin already perfect for me. |

So after reading this article and especially the ending: One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands. I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin? And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it. The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy? Maybe the law, fear of taxes and so on? I don't know, it really depends on the person, situation, personal preferences... Bitcoin has no taxes only miners fee when it comes to transactions. Some country accepts bitcoin and doesn't prohibit it so it doesn't likely on the law. |

I have heard of one friend saying its another work, too hard and need to learn again. They seem really lazy to get some knowledge regarding bitcoin. I dont think that is hate though just dont know how to start.

I think what's preventing people from using bitcoin is the fact that they don't find it a necessity just yet. Or maybe they don't know how much they can benefit from using it. As what the previous post stated, six years of bad news can really affect the reputation of bitcoin and it doesn't help that sometimes it is being linked to illegal activities, which might be true, but it also serves as a complimentary investment tool and another way of making lives a little better. |

Maybe a reason why people stop or scared using bitcoins is because of the qoute"No system is safe"Maybe they are thinking that bitcoin is still not safe to invest money in and thinking thay bitcoin is a scam.Or many people dont want to take risk on using it.And maybe they dont believes on bitcoins potential and its future plans

Well in my opinion there are several reasons that are stopping people from using bitcoin. First of all, Transactions here are hard to track. Because of that, many people use bitcoins to scam and take others money in forms of investment sites and High Yield Investment program. Second to it is that bitcoin is unsecured. Even if you have a bitcoin wallet with password or stored in a cold storage, it can be hacked because no system is safe. The third reason that stops some people from using bitcoin is that either they don't have access to the internet, or it is banned in their country. The fourth reason that stops people from using bitcoin is that some don't want to invest in it because it's price are unstable. Goin up and down. The fifth and main reason that stops people from using bitcoin is that it is used in deepweb transactions, causing bitcoin to have a bad reputation to those who don't know it fully. And because of this main reason, many don't want to use bitcoin because they think that bitcoin is illegal money, but it isn't. It just depends on how you got some bitcoin.

In my case I didn't feel the stressed happened when MT GOX being down (I see this is the big deal for all the list above) so Im not in the position to say to a person involved that still continue to use bitcoin, but what Im saying here, just like in reality, learn to stand up after a devastation. The problem is, the people that are actually supporting the economy are not just a bunch of kids. They have real money and are playing with their life savings. They have no intention of risking everything on a pipe dream when the payment methods they use now work just fine for them. The average joe homeowner has no real reason to use Bitcoin. |

I think most important thing that's stopping people from using bitcoin is what the media puts out about bitcoin. Whenever the media gets involved, it's always a negative thing what they say or write about bitcoin. This is not helping bitcoin at all. |

I sometimes feel the technical issues are stopping people to use bitcoins, like recently a friend of mine, he got scammed due to unconfirmed bitcoin transaction sent by a dude who was there to scam, so maybe that! |

Mostly I believe it's very different and unknown to a lot of people. If they've heard of Bitcoin they only mimic the bad press it's had because some of the mistakes its users made. Also, people are raised to use paper money and the likes, so something digital is a hard change for them and they haven't been grown up and raised on it. Since people were kids their parents probably handed them a dollar bill and said go get an ice cream. Well good luck handing a kid some satoshi and getting him to get an ice cream lol.
