What's stopping people from using bitcoin?

agree it, goverment can control each bitcoin transaction, then goverment give warning to use bitcoin, and media expose bitcoin with something illegal activity.

One of the large things stopping people from using Bitcoin is the fact that bitcoin is still considered an asset and not considered a currency in most countries.  This stops a lot of companies from taking bitcoin because they do not want to deal with their asset taxes.  Just my opinion though.

I don't think so, for me having or investing on bitcoin is to avoid the asset taxes, for example like gold will getting a taxes and house and etc. but nothing for bitcoin. the taxes of bitcoin is at making any transaction in my minds.

You are correct. And also, people are not yet aware of it as an asset or as income generating digital currency. The common people would just shy away from these kinds of things because of the instability and the unsecured nature of cryptocurrencies altogether.

Maybe you are right but this looks strange to me. Is Bitcoin the only volatile thing in the world? Just take a look at the price of gold in the last 5 years or some other countries currencies, many of them are volatile too.

IMO ignorance is the main reason why people are not using Bitcoin.

Lets say if using bitcoin is not considered illegal in a country and in that country a place or a market is just accepting bitcoin as a payment so the local people would surely have to take interest or use bitcoin for shopping in that market and in that way many people will start using bitcoin.

If that is the case then they just have to found some global exchanger so that they can freely convert their bitcoin in their fiat currency. It's present in most of the countries that bitcoin is banned and even here in this forum there are people here that bitcoin is banned in their country.

Well a global exchange would be a good idea in theory, but I personally doubt something like that would be able to change anything and a lot of the issue with Bitcoin comes down to people not knowing about it or caring about it, primarily due to a majority of people just simply not seeing any value in investing or getting involved with a different currency.

The main reason behind stopping people from using bitcoin is that they have never heard about bitcoins and that goes to developing countries and the third world countries, where they are totally dependent on banking system and are not ready to accept the change or innovative things

There are places that bitcoin is banned but still there are options to convert it in their fiat with the use of global exchanger. Bitcoin that will converted will now be fiat once it was send to a preferred method of that user who lives in a country that bitcoin is banned.

They are afraid of its volatility and wonder if it will make them bankrupt.
They are afraid reading all the negative comments and are afraid if they might get hacked online. It is also rumored to be illegal.

There are places that bitcoin is banned but still there are options to convert it in their fiat with the use of global exchanger. Bitcoin that will converted will now be fiat once it was send to a preferred method of that user who lives in a country that bitcoin is banned.

If bitcoin gets banned then I think people will start using it more and which will take price even higher, people are addicted to those things which is illegal in their country, same as gambling.

Getting them to start using Bitcoin is one thing, getting them to keep using Bitcoin is completely different. Especially when people try to learn more about Bitcoin but it gets difficult for them to follow things as they don't understand how it works. And if certain people don't understand how things work, and don't get any explanation from anyone, these same people will stop using it.

but to me the only issue that stopping people from using bitcoin is that people cannot use bitcoin in their local market. and they have to visit some shops using internet.
