just folow these steps ... 1) Close all DigiCube wallets that are running 2) Backup wallet.dat in as many places as you feel comfortable with 3) Delete all files in this data directory, but leave wallet.dat and DigiCube.conf here 4) Download the Bootstrap for block 500k here: http://freestaking.com/downloads/wallet/DigiCube16-Bootstrap.zip5) Extract these two files to the same folder as in Step 3 6) REMOVE ALL NODES. Use these two, and only these two, nodes in DigiCube.conf, until more people have had time to update: addnode=46.105.158.205 addnode=98.144.161.18 7) Ensure the only files in this folder are the two blk files from the bootstrap, DigiCube.conf, and wallet.dat Open DigiCube v1.6 and enjoy the new experience do we need to do any of these steps, or is just a straight download/installer? Not this time. Just a 'download and run' update

Changelog:- Minimum Coin Age Required for 2000% stake rate has been increased 10x
- Maximum Per-Block Staking Reward has been increased 10x
These changes are to further curb inflation. Version 1.0 had 1990% average inflation. Version 1.6 has about 1440% average inflation; nice drop, but not far enough. Version 1.8 will be adjusted further if inflation does not respond as expected. This will be a change to reward long-term holders while encouraging those with no interest in the future of the coin to just get out and move on I will post a new bootstrap on the same page as the wallets when we hit block 620k. This will take roughly 2 weeks to get to so after block 620k minimum to get stake 5.47% is 112k cube ? No. Your number is correct, but that number correlates to coin age, not coin amounti don't underestand give me exemple plz ?? Sure Let's say you have 12,000 CUBE. Currently you could stake every day for 2000% yearly In Version 1.8, 12,000 CUBE would have to wait approximately 10 days between stakes if they wanted to get the 5.5% daily rate. Keep in mind, all time waited will show up as backpay with an increased stake amount. You would get paid for all 10 days you waited at 5.5% per dayGot it. Thank you for clearing that up.

Question @IGotSpots
If I have 20K CUBE, currently this stakes with daily ~ 1100 CUBE. With version 1.8, I have to wait 10 days between the stakes? And then I also get ~1100 CUBE (5.5%) or ~1100 * 10 days?
Thanks in advance s0nix
You would get paid for all 10 days you waited at 5.5% per day according to what is written above, I think with 20k cube not need wait 10 day, enough around only 6-7 to collect 124k coinday. 20k would need to wait roughly 6-7 days, correct. But you will get all your backpay for all 6-7 days you wait
Aha okay, the crux is the coin age. Thanks for the replies.

Now back up on the new servers!
This will be a change to reward long-term holders while encouraging those with no interest in the future of the coin to just get out and move on The biggest criticism for high-staking coins is always inflation, inflation, inflation. DigiCube 1.6 is my theory on capping both the minimum coin age needed to stake at a high rate, thus creating incentive to hold a solid chunk of coins, while also capping the maximum reward that can be earned per block. I've posted a chart below that gives a visual representation of this idea. Below the chart is a detailed description of what this graph means and also explains how both the lower and upper thresholds are determined long-term. As you can see by the last set, the longer the blockchain goes, the farther apart these two will become; this is why I believe this scaling system will be very effective in both the short and long term growth of DigiCube In a nutshell, there is still a way to earn over 5.5% daily stake rate and it's quite simple. To stake for large amounts, your input size must be greater than 2% of the block number. The first dots on the graph linked above are block 500k, when the fork kicks in, so we have nice round numbers to chart growth stats. At block 500k, this means you must have a coin age of greater than 10,000 (500,000 * .02) to ensure you get the maximum reward. However, there is a way around this for smaller holders that have less than 10,000 CUBE. You can also participate by stopping your coins from staking for longer. For example, if you have 5000 CUBE, you can hold them for two days without staking to still get above the threshold for higher rewards. It's a great way to give incentive to both large and small holders to continue increasing their stash to stay above the cut-off instead of dumping their stakes daily Then there is the cap of maximum rewards per block. Right now this will not be much of an issue, but the longer the blockchain gets, the harsher the cap will be due to be a lower percentage of the total coin supply. Like the minimum coin age cap, this is also on a sliding scale, meaning it will increase with time, but slowly enough to effectively combat massive inflation. The maximum stake reward that can be earned per block is 1% of the block number. So using the same block as the example above, when the fork kicks in, the maximum reward will be 5000 CUBE per block (500,000 * .01). If the stake reward is above this value, it will be squished down to it. These are hard caps at both the lower and upper limits
The most up to date information on the situation as a whole can now always be found in-wallet by using the 'On the Web' tab

Beats having to stake every day. It looks like the android app will estimate when the coins should be staked too.

You guys are developers not economists. And let's be real, it doesn't matter if the rate is 2000%, 1000%, or 250%, inflation is going to be out of control. At 2000% it's a fun coin, now not so much, especially when you keep changing the parameters. No. I have taken emotion out of the equation and now make decisions based purely on the numbers. I will change it 10,000 more times if I have to, just to get it perfect Why not just make a gradual decrease in staking schedule at certain blocks? Like 2000-1000-500?

There was like a month between 1.0 and the fork when I said it was coming; there was more than enough time and I give more warning than any other coins The value is low because people were dumping. This is why there are forks; to slow down inflation

A good friend of mine is already running one for other coins, CUBE will be added to it soon. I linked him these posts on Skype, though, so shouldn't take too long

Ho ok we have a system / site called Juststake.online This will let you stake your coins against the block chain as if your coins was in your own wallet There's not much more to say than that lol. We are testing cube on our system now If it works ok we will open it to testers. Then we will do a full open to the public So stay tuned. Thanks Paul
