I use one of several greasemonkey scripts or a Firefox extension. Not entirely sure of the name of it right now. Will update when I check.

I use Jdownloader, not the most practical solution, but it does the job. Also you don't need more tools, because it lets you download petty much anything on any page.

+1 works great and no software to fiddle faddle with That's why I use http://youtubemp3.tv/ - it's all done in realtime and converts any youtube video in either regular quality or high. No mess with needing to download software or plugins or the like. |

With Video DownloadHelper you do not need to leave the page or open another tab, there is a simple icon on toolbar you have to click on.
Additionally, if you feel like, you can use pretty much every encoding option or codecs available under the sun.

yeah but would you rather deal with 2 pages or a potentially harmful disguised program(I've delt with alot of these). If OP doesn't want to mess with these things, the site i've referenced is the way to go. I'll keep out now. |

I created a bash script a while ago which grabs any flash videos that are open in a browser, and plays/saves them to the system. It did have functionality to just extract the audio using mencoder, but I ended up removing it because I rarely used that feature. If you interested: http://codepad.org/na2W7aPf |

+1 again.. rather do this than go to a possible malicious site and having to switch back and forth every time if you are grabbing a lot of audio, its just click and save very easy. |
