The speakers on all ships in the area begin to emit a soft humming noise. Though barely audible to ordinary human ears, anyone with genetic or cybernetic hearing upgrades would immediately notice the new sound...
...if the speakers weren't also emitting other sounds at full volume on loop.
A few tiny specks of green light flicker brighter than the rest of the surrounding stars as they drift towards the BAS Satoshi and the Sharden ship.
If someone notices the lights and tries to investigate:
Long-range sensors (when functional) will discover that each speck has a physical light source and a small amount of mass, but no power source, no engines, no weapons or shields, no signs of life. It might be a fleet of expertly-cloaked warships, or it might be
harmless space debris.
This is obviously some sort of trick to make the other side's army look bigger, but there's no way to tell if the lights are armed or harmless unless one gets near a short-range sensor. (Luckily, they do seem to be floating this way.)
