I am doing some research on IOTA Tangle thus, I need a whole dump of the Tangle. I know that there where some transitions and some hard forks so it it is hard to get a complete version and history of the Tangle. Is there one available for download?

This coin is just awesome, I hope for the price increase to $1 in the next few months as it could be !
next rally will be until 2-3 dollar. this is also my prediction for end of year. IOTA is undervalued right now compared to other coins.

Purely theoretically pump can of course. Pump in fact occurs when it is not expected. And most of the growth is likely to be for the next year already.

if it would be that easy (just asking for it in a forum) everybody would be a millionair. never ask such a question anyone. Also you can get any possible answer and don't know what to do.
you can only know it if you do your own due diligence.
In fact IOTA (and crypto currencys in general) are a very high risk investement therefore nobody should invest in it without a good due diligence. IOTA potential is high but also the risk.

Regarding time you are too late because this coins ICO was about 2 years ago. This does not mean you are too late do make any profit. But the question is also what type of investor are you. usually early investor take more risk than late investors and therefore also the profit or loss is higher.

Absolutely agree. But i don't think the ICO price is important. The future looks bright for IOTA in my opinion. And the market for IoT is big as well as the features and partners.

The question for me is how much more stupid money will switch into BTC because of the forks. At least after the forks IOTA will become big i guess.

I also think that IOTA has a lot of potential. If the vision of IOTA team works out, this will be bigger than bitcoin one day.
We are still in beta mode therefore it is still very  early compared to the final version. It always depends on what kind of investor are you and at which stage of a project you want to enter.

If you are the guy who is participating in every single ICO the last 2 years you are too late. If you want to wait until projects are more mature and at beta mode you are at the right time.
If you are the guy who just invests in solid stuff you are way too early.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017
6:00 PM

We are super excited to welcome Dominik to Chicagoland in what promises to be a very insightful conversation.

As an additional agenda item Paul Handy a Core Developer at the IOTA Foundation will give a 15 - 25min presentation on Masked Authenticated Messaging. It will be a bit more technical, but overall very enlightening for the attendees as they will see a live demo of one of the most powerful features of IOTA.

Yes there is new developer of iota he is Samuel Reid. Samuel Reid is a mathematician, business executive, inventor, and STEM polymath. As the CEO and a Co-Founder of Geometric Energy Corporation since June 2015, he delivers mathematical and scientific consulting to industry, academia, and government. He is honoured and happy to join IOTA as I believe my mathematical background and drive for IoT innovation will provide a driving force of positive transformational growth of the IOTA project and ecosystem. https://blog.iota.org/welcome-samuel-reid-to-iota-744469bce973 that is good for iota.

I have a technical question:
Is there a danger that I will lose my Iota held on passphrase generated in early version of the wallet?
Or can I left them and eventually make a new passphrase to spend it in the future?

Why exactly is there an issue if you still have the seed? Why does it make a difference if you generated the seed with an earlier wallet or anytime later? Or do you mean in general it's insecure to generate it with the wallet?

thank you

thank you

They switched to a new hashing algorithm I think in response to the MIT paper debacle. Thus the same seed will now produce entirely different key pairs and addresses. Fortunately it seems that my problem (and presumably now your problem as well) will be addressed in a new version of the wallet with a "IOTA Recovery Tool" for recovering funds from old outdated seeds. At-least that is what I have been told. You came at a good time. I spent months worrying, if everything works out you will only have to spend a few weeks worrying. I'll link to the relevant post.

Those in the list #2 should watch for the news about Iota Recovery Tool in the wallet. It's expected to be released this month.

Those in the list #1 should add me on Skype. My ID is
Code:
come-from-beyond
. Upon adding my contact send your email and your new IOTA address which was sent from that very email.

PS: I hope you won't waste my time by adding me on Skype while not being in the list #1...

PPS: Make sure you add the correct Skype contact, don't reveal the seed without making sure it's really me.

SatoshiPay IOTA proof-of-concept launched
For the impatient, don’t hesitate to head over to the demo site and try it out: https://satoshipay.tangle.works/
You will be given 400 Testnet IOTAs to get started right away. 400i are currently less than €0.0002, and yes, it is possible to transact amounts this small and even lower on IOTA.
That's look awsome the project on iota the detail about SatoshiPay IOTA proof-of-concept launched https://medium.com/@SatoshiPay/satoshipay-iota-proof-of-concept-launched-111b5c0d4bcf
