*all this random bullshit*

So ridiculous..

Indeed, your whole post is totally ridiculous.

Feels like you guys are just here for some quick bucks and dont even try to spend some of your own time doing some research.
As it seems you didnt even read the ToS of your early stage investment and then start complaining. Although EVERYTHING (like literally 100%) is your own fault.

Big shoutout to the devs and how they handle this whole situation. If it was me I wouldnt give a shit about you missing out clearly stated deadlines.

I should really stop reading this thread, it is unbelievable how some users' stupidity and ignorance is tilting me..

Don't know, what you are talking about. I understand, that you should participate and stuff, but:
Iota should be called an decentralized asset/comodity/whatever. That means, noone should be able to take your things. If someone keeps a decentralized peace of gold in his stash it will not disappear, just because he didn't participate in promoting gold or researching on its function.

The claiming process is fine, some work to get your things is ok. But in my opinion there should not be a timeout.
I mean, he did invest money after all...

I agree but those who haven't claimed still fall under "distribution stage" so they do need to be attentive and make sure they claim before a certain date. The Iota team is very busy making Iota valuable, so those who are waiting to claim need to be patient.

Yes I did.
I can understand the psychological difficulty to accept that other people can win money without working hard on the project. However the IOTA team should not punish them by preventing them to have access to their tokens. It would be unfair. I hope it will be solved soon.

I don't think it has anything to do with not contributing. David is making the point that they are busy, they are working to make Iota valuable, and you are not a priority just like you didn't make Iota a priority during the claiming period. So you'll need to wait.

maybe you consider also some donation like most of the participants did before claiming. That could speed up the process :-)

Can IOTA's that we have in our current wallet be SCAMMED with another foolish statement for example "upgrade your wallet now" (if new wallet were to come) or the money will be sent to the IOTA Foundation. Seeing the IOTA team anything is possible.

Are our IOTAs safe now? Or will there be another scammish attempts to steal our IOTA?

It is a such a disgrace that IOTA is such a scam knowing what a great project it is. I think this is just the top of the iceberg.

I just need a YES or NO. I don't need the dogs come barking around the corner and defending their master. Just a simple YES or NO if my IOTAs in current wallet is safe now forever or not. Can I hold them for several years without being in danger to be stolen?

How are we even discussing this matter? So ridiculous..

Yes, you might have to claim them again after a final release.

This is clearly not the project for you.

Hello

I didn't read this forum for couple of years.

I missed the IOTA ICO and I really like the idea of this new technology. I'm actually in love with it!

Who could sell me some IOTAs at a fair price?
I will obviously send first but will only do it with people I can see that have done a few other sucessful transactions with other users.

I think I'd go for around 0.5 btc. I want to see the list of people who was in the IFO and how much they put into it.

Thanks and sorry if I sound a bit newbiesh. Any help will be appreciated.

There are a few scammers around, so be careful and ask people before you send BTC to anyone.

Don't be silly. Follow these steps and you'll find a proper Iota exchange. http://www.iotaexchange.com/#details

Get them quick before they hit bigger exchanges.

Does the computer have to have an open input port for claiming? I thought it should work withouth, because its a light wallet...
I did last night and there was no confirmation after the whole night, so I guess because of the port?

I will say that they don't make it easy and there were lots of bumps along the way, but I did get my IOTA to show up again.  Get on the IOTA slack and someone will help you eventually, but you have to have a lot, and I mean a lot of patience with IOTA.  That being said, I wouldn't say they've stolen any crypto from anyone.

I want everyone to try to contemplate how IOTA would look if the number one priority was to help people who didn't bother to claim in time and do hands on daily tutoring rather than actually create the technology... It is *us* not *you* who has to have an insane amount of patience with people who didn't bother to follow the right procedures in the first 4 months and thus ended up costing us tens of hours of manual work that could've been much better spent on doing productive things.
ok I understand that but:

1) I was not aware of the need to convert the iotas again to a new address (re-claim). (There is no information letter)

2) This conversion process seems not easy to do (you write "tens of hours of manual work") I did not know that.

ok I apologize for having used the word dishonest to qualify the iota team.

What is the process to make this conversion ? Can I do it myself ?

Others are in the same situation as you. Unlike the "4 months" that David claims people had, people who DID follow the first claim process got an email 2 weeks before the launch. So people had 2 weeks, not 4 months. For some reason, this email went out 10 days after the information was already in the forum, not sure why.

Now David aka Iotatoken  makes guilty people for missing  2 week window after the patiently waited for a long time. He think anyone not technical is a pleb and beneath him. So unprofessional. He ignores people messages and never responds. He should not be a face of IOTA if he is so degrading. People may never get the IOTA they are owed while David and his buddies sell tokens on OTC.

You're so full of shit I can't even grasp how you even exist. Are you pretending that you couldn't claim in those 4 months because of...magic? I haven't sold a single iota thus far, consider your life. You're a waste.
