That would be 4.5-13.5 billion marketcap. Not gonna happen anytime soon.

if iota works as expected, 15Billions is possible in less than 2 year

Your math is wrong and oriented to ETH Marketcap,, If iota works how its supposed to be, than you can expect much more than 15b in 2 years, much much more, but thats only my opinion. And let me add,  even ETH will be much higher than 30billion in two years.

Fact is that IOTA is not comparable with any other crypto. It is the only crypto without fees. You send 0.01$ you receive 0.01$. This is a clear gamechanger. That alone should be enough to secure highest place in rankings but do not forget that IOTA is also quantum proof and infinitly scalable. It has solved the problems of other cryptos and much more. Assuming it will work of course.

In time when it comes to cryptousage for payments I don't see why anyone would pay for a crypto transfer when they have an option to not pay.

Potential is limitless. Long term it is no debate but short term with current market. Who knows?  Spike at 5B? 10B? 20B? 50B? Plus so much room for shark pumps and we seen the crazy pumps that happened. This is speculative. Smiley

We seen ripple go from 200M to 15B, why can't IOTA do the same with proper shark-tag-a-long-pump? IOTA pump is also so much easily manipulated in case of marketing to speculators. Wink

Even in case of very unlikely exchange drop current IOTA holders knows that holding IOTA for long time will make them rich no doubt. But the drop is also speculative that might never come. So having IOTA right away is a clear long term win-win.

In the end anyone complaining in this thread about IOTA how it is overvalued now or not will end up having IOTA at lower or higher level - but will end up having it. There is no stop to this train. It is just a simple fact.

IOTA is the answer to what you ask and hope from cryptos - it is the impossible answer but it is there - and this is why every crypto owner will end up having IOTA.

And later it will spread to mainstream as well. This will take time. But it will.

It's important to keep things in perspective. Everyone treats BTC as the leader in this space, but there's still no big money (institutional investors) in BTC yet. It remains a niche speculative technology. ETH is the same way.

All block chains are basically a waiting game to see if payment channels are even capable of scaling. This is a huge risk proposition. Appreciate the fact that almost all of the money in the DLT space is a speculative play on the lottery of one DLT actually working in the next 10 years.

Take all of that into account and realize that the total crypto cap is around $100B. It's most likely still in the early adopter phase. Wait until a winning technology (something that actually works) comes along that has real world applicability.

I'm not saying IOTA is this, just trying to give perspective to where we are on the timeline of DLTs in general.

We should start to calculate in Miota i guess, its the right unit for exchanges. So 1000 Miota would be around 0.07btc . But lets stop price speculation now, this project brings more than anything else, it could effect all of us in our well known enviroment, day by day, and thats what thrills me. However, thank you to the participation of an unusual trip @ iotaTeam!

It was a long time ago, so you would have had to wait 1.5 years, so maybe it's better to get on board now and take profit once it's on exchanges.

I doubt that. People's stupidity must have a limit.

this is for a coin meant to be used by robots keep in mind.

This is a common misconception, but one that I don't mind perpetuating.

I suspect that one last claim will be required after the impending snapshot, but not yet. Try to check in periodically to keep up with things as they progress.

Are you sure about an actual claim process? I think with the snapshots, you only need to generate addresses again.

Could be. Just make sure to stay up to date on developments.
