Hi, I have 3 questions about this really exiting looking IOTA:

1. How is it possible that a transaction in IOTA will cost nothing?
2. Has IOTA plans to work together with other cryptocurrencies besides Ethereum in the future?
3. What is the maximum number of TPS IOTA can handle? I read that a month or two ago it sucessfully did 137 TPS.

I appreciate any info Smiley

1. You have to confirm 2 to send. So you act as the user AND the "miner" at the same time.

2. Yes, they do want to build interoperability with Ethereum in future. Actually they're already working with Rootstock. I don't remember where I read the Ethereum one but you can verify Rootstock from their official tweet:https://twitter.com/RSKsmart/status/872450726131359744

3. There is no max, its a scalable system, the more the transaction and nodes the faster it gets. With almost 250 nodes they hit around 180 CTPS (confirmed transactions per second).

arround 1 year ago dominik told about that

https://bitcoinblog.de/2016/07/13/iota-die-kryptowaehrung-fuer-maschinen-eine-blockchain-ohne-bloecke/

its on german there is a sentence where he said

"Geht es nach Dominik, soll IOTA zum zentralen, aber nicht einzigen Protokoll für Maschinen werden. “Wir planen, dass IOTA auch mit Ethereum und Bitcoin-Schichten wie Rootstock kompatibel ist. Daran arbeiten wir aber gerade noch.”"

in english ( sorry not perfect maybe )

if, after dominik IOTA should be central but not the only protocol for mashines be. we plan that IOTA with Ethereum and Bitcoin layers like ROOTSTOCK will be compatible. on this we are working

this sentence is arround 11 month ago and now there is first anouncements that they are partnered Nice GO moon iota

Thank you very much!
Is there anywhere an actual price chart for IOTA?

The exchangechannel from yassin (YDX) is closed. There are only trades on iota slackchannel. 1GIota is about 0.15 to 0.2BTC
http://iotaprice.com/
but last price (1GI=0.07BTC) is obvious very low. Should be much higher on launch

This was the last price on yassinschanel, 1 week ago. Private trades are now much higher.

So IOTA is launching with a 1 billion market cap after 2 years of semi-private trading?

Why exactly has it been kept off of exchanges? Not trying to rock the boat, just genuinely curious.

Went to buy a cheap vps for iota node with btc. Paid $3 for vps and $2.8 btc tx fee to make it quick. Perfect timing for exchange launch if you ask me.

He's a new user registered 2 days ago who put Legendary as his description and adds this line to his emssages:

"This user is a Legendary Member. If you are expecting a message from this member then it is genuine !!!"

When I noticed it I found it suspect. Maybe he's totally fair but I found it quite strange.

Still no news from user ChrisLandin after I sent him 0.1 BTC to try buying iota

Congrats to the IOTA core dev team David, CfB and Dom and the community for getting IOTA to where it is today. I never would have thought it would reach this level so quickly. Still a bright future ahead. Looking forward to a new era in crypto - value transfer with no fees! Time to grow the community even more now and implement new and useful applications with IOTA tangle. probably you host server is down. You can either wait or change the host ip address in Edit Node Configuration under Tools. Make sure you check the syncing status first before you do anything with your wallet. you can find more host here - http://www.iotasupport.com/gui-lightwallet.shtml

Thanks for the answer! The project itself seems really promising. I'll most likely participate a little as well once it hits the exchanges.
