After 2 days of lies I can definetly say that the user ChrisLandin scammed me 0.1 BTC never sending my iotas and saying he sent back my btc which never showed uo.

ChrisLandin:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=34502

Be careful!

Sad, but thats what happens when you go shopping around for unrealistically low rates. My offer is still open, I have done 30+btc in iota/btc trades in the past week.

I wasn't looking for cheap price, just wanted to buy some iota and the guy has 731 messages on the forum so I thought I could trust him. But I sent 0.1 instead of the total 1 btc in order to see if he was respecting his word. My bad, not a big loss, just the unpleasant feeling of being scammed..

Nobody knows what the price will be when it hits the exchanges, but with the the current trading prices probably around 250 Miota.

Yeah, 250 Miota is just insane when you think about it. You have, what, a few hundred people trading on slack and its now capped at close to $2B USD before it even hits an exchange just because of slack trading among a handful of people? Are people spending tens of millions of dollars on slack for trades? Doubt it. Just goes to show that "market cap" when it comes to cryptos is largely an imaginary number.

People complaining about the imaginary value of market cap of cryptos with fixed supply are pretty confused. Ofc market cap is just an index, as any other economic parameter, it was your fault in the first place if you gave it additional meaning, I bet you are not complaining about Apple or Google's true value compared to their virtual market cap, even though not all their shares are actually traded on exchanges.

The only valid argument against the significance of market cap is the one regarding inflationary cryptos like Ethereum, which is not the case here.

(Btw, it is over 5k people on Slack, not a few hundred)

potential of IOTA is huge (bigger than BTC) and therefore people are valuing it at 2B. I think on a big exchange the price will increase more because more people will buy. A lot of people dont want to buy OTC. But there are not many seller because everybody knows the potential and want to hodl...

Any thoughts on the Market Cap of 500 MIO USD?  http://iotaprice.com/

Stratis has 900 MIO +

Just want to figure out if we see a big pump or dump Tongue

500M mcap? Those were the good old days.

Everything is possible in times like this. But I wouldn´t be suprised by a big dump because a lot of people getting greedy
but there are not a lot of people holding IOTA right now. I think this will be the main reason for not a dump and maybe pump instead

at the launch i will watch for 3-4 days what the price will do, never trade emotionally Wink

Same here. Watchlist and check what is going to happen. I think the Marketcap is much too high for this PHASE of the Project. But Crypto will teach us Smiley

Can anyone explain the 0 (zero) balance in my wallet ?

you have to generate addresses. As many as you had before.
as far as I understood the transactions stick on the addresses, but as long as they are not regenerated there can nothing show up.

Just installed the new wallet, clicked tangle, and the balance showed up. Why is this not automated ?
