Thanks to all of you for the replies.
I found this link: https://github.com/iotaledger/wallet/releases
I downloaded the zip version but no longer know how to proceed. Is there another more friendly reference link?

IOTA's application is a powerful, direct and changing social application form, and the Internet of things will revolutionize people's habits.

Thanks, mate.
However, maybe an update of the O.P to make it clearer and complete to new investors would be helpful. The more things are explained in a simple way, the more people will be interested by this great project.

You welcome. Yes, there is a lot of work to do to become mainstream. But remember, IOTA is still in beta stage. The IOTA foundation and not least the whole community is doing a really good job to make these technology great. Give it some time.

I downloaded and installed the GUI lite wallet but, what's next? I assume I have to generate a seed somehow? Can't seem to find further instructions...

Yes, you need to create your own seed. You can get some info about seed here - http://learn.iota.org/faqs

Connect to a server. Take a piece of paper and a pen and write down a seed, consisting of 81 chars (A-Z + 9). These seed is your password. Enter the seed and create an address. Now you can access to your addresses from every devices. The only thing you need is your seed. Try it out with a small amount of your IOTA`s.

You can also use this seed generator if you like: https://knarz.github.io/seedgen/ Replace some letters afterwards if you like or if you don't trust it.

Sorry for my question: what's going on about the "iota claims" lawsuit? Is it a simple gossip/rumour or not?

We'd like to see an official explanation for avoiding any misunderstandings.

Thank you in advance.

There is no such thing. It is a fake news. This is crypto world. Never automatically believe anything before you can verify it with facts. If someone told you such a thing, you can simple ask them what is the link to the court notice and what is the link to the lawyer's website. If they can't provide the facts they are just lying about it.

Your seed is your wallet. Just keep your seed safe. That all you need.
