I have a serious question: does IOTA actually do anything in the real world as of now or is it all about what it supposedly can do? I tried really hard to get what its all about and I still don't... I don't see or understand how they are offering improvements on any pre-existing system or technology.

They offer an alternative blockchain building technology. It has its advantages and disadvantages. For me, the biggest drawback was having a network coordinator, which makes it essentially a 100% centralized system. The recent failure of the IOTA network only confirmed my concerns about the lack of decentralization as such, which makes the system, as a whole, vulnerable and dependent

Most likely no. The exchange of old IOTA for new ones was carried out for a long time, and now it is no longer possible to swap tokens for new ones. From a personal history - I exchanged mine, my son missed the moment and lost his tokens ... But this is objectively his problem, since he remembered about IOTA tokens more than 12 months after the swap

Now this is a huge screw in their coffin. Boom. Network coordinator owns the right to guide the network the way he / she wishes. Oh oh, someones sore bunnies must be itching right now. Because if these people who bought a raft of IOTA years back get all rekt in the falling market, there will be nobody left to sustain the value in this debauched market. Manifestly nobody is happy with how IOTA has been looking through the years.

An unserious question. Already feel I it unserious. When can we claim REAL-IOTA's? We invested some coins in IOTA up to this test-net started. When will the REAL-NET started? A REAL-NET for IOTA, which one is a real decentralized ledger...... ?
