Well I am still buying. I think some people are starting to clear out but not me.
What do you want for your cards if you are selling. (Coinbank is empty now but it won't always be...)

Cool, what is your rationale for buying now? I think ASICs are going to cut into margin quickly... then again if you have free power! More power to you. I'm not sure about the fair market value honestly so I put the auction up on eBay. Would you like to make an offer?

I'm crazy.
No really I have a lot of small factors that weigh into my decision:
1. Free power 2. I love tech for tech's sake, I am trying to buy every mining card at least to own for a little while 3. I think these cards will retain value on the gaming market despite the influx 4. Coins generated by the machines I have running now cost me little/nothing --> makes sense to buy more cards with "free money"
**edit**
Forgot to make an offer.
I just paid 21 coins for two 5870 with shipping from Europe with aftermarket coolers and while I like this card (I think its pretty well balanced at cost/performance.) I'd love a slightly lower price. Not killer though, just keep in mind I *currently* have maybe 5 coins and a couple of those are promised to internet friends already...

2. Yea me too! It is sad to part with our farm Cool! Would you be willing to pay in dollars rather than BTC? I guess not since it defeats point 4! But yea your logic seems tight!

I am keeping my GPUs and my whole rig intact. We are going to see a rise in gaming and a fall in productivity among the Bitcoin community XD

I wonder if we can use donated gpu/cpu time on BOINC charity projects, for tax reduction purposes? Would be fun.

Just got a 5870 for 80€ - either I was just lucky or it indicates that people show already less interest in GPUs... Well, one 5870 might a bit slim for statistics

My GPUs are keeping my room at ~80 degrees while the rest of the house is about 40. I will keep them running til the very end and keep my heater off

My GPUs are keeping my room at ~80 degrees while the rest of the house is about 40. I will keep them running til the very end and keep my heater off 40 degrees, damn.... where do you live? An igloo? My 2 satoshis on selling GPUs.... If you only want to mine bitcoin, GPUs will lose money as soon as the reward drops (about 3.5 weeks). So the only reason to hold on to your GPUs are for mining alt coins (unless you rig is your heater.) alt coins is risky business all that power consumption could be for nothing when the coin dies several month later. Then again, maybe it's the next big thing and really takes off in a year. It all comes down to whether you like to gamble or not. I know I do, that's why I'm still building GPU rigs. For anyone that's interested, I am still buying used GPUs.. I need to fill out the rest of my PCIe slots. Hit me up.

Very nice but hard to ROI i think to expensive I just invest in more Mhases the rest is hobby as making expesive rigs is just for fun, but not neccesary i need more coins in my wallets thats all that counts for me. I see lots of reasons that ASIC is a scam but i could be wrong we will see..

I've been contemplating selling the few cards I have running, but they're still profitable, so if/when ASIC's hit and GPU mining goes down the tubes, I'll throw them up on eBay. I've only got a couple I specifically purchased for mining, so I'm not too worried about taking a beating on price. But until a time that they're unprofitable to run, I'll keep them going.
