SHA256 USB miner for many coins

I am looking at buying a USB miner, not to make profit but just for the fun, since they are really cheap.
I want to mine some rather infamous coins tho as well, such as blakeCoin or Photon, which use SHA256 hash sums as far as i understand.
So if the USB miner has support for SHA256 do all crypto coins that base upon that work ?

sadly, bitcoin usb miners are not worth it anymore, thereby the idea of mining infamous coins with massive GH/s

Yes, if it is a Sha-256 algo then you will be able to mine it.  But Blake has it's own algo which is an off shoot of Sha-256
I believe and was changed to prevent the use of Asic chips to mine it.  Resorting back to Gpu to mine with.
All of this info is easily attained by Googling it and doing some research.

So which is it?  Mining large terahash machines or small usb asic miners that you are planning?
If it's small usb miners then look at Sidehack's thread for his new stick miner, that's your best bet and mine some
low difficulty coin.  If it's running a large miner realize although you will get large amounts of some coins their value will
be so low that you won't be able to support your large electric bill to compensate the cost of doing so.

There are very few SHA256 coins, and about the only ones with any value at all are BitCoin and Namecoin.

 Blake is NOT SHA256, I don't think Photon is either.


 Sure, it would be NICE to mine some of the cloins like Litecoin and Doge and Dash etc with SHA256 massive TH hardware - but they aren't SHA256 coins so you can't.

It is by far the best stickminer on the market.  OP sounds like he want's to mine alt coins... there just are not a whole lot of sha altcoins.  Bitcoin is pretty much most worthwhile to mine.

As far as altcoins LKETC has a usb stick for scrypt but it's pretty small power overall.  It would allow a lot more altcoins but I would just mine BTC for fun off a compac if i was choosing what to do.

I predict compacs hold value better then the LKETC scrypt usb stick miners.
