Kemba walker is finally BACK.

He contributed big time on their win against the Brooklyn Nets, IIRC, this is his first game coming from injury, right?

This guy just dropped 39 points and of if you look at the rest of the team, you can tell how well they are moving the ball because they also did have a good scoring night.

Luckily Kemba doesn't suffer a severe neck injury and now performing like nothing happened. It's like he managed to escape career ending injury because it's his neck that's sprained. Dropping 39 points coming from injury is really amazing.

Good for him not to suffer that much, he's still young and he's really helping the Celtics with how he blended with the rest of his teammates. This squad showing more competitive from the east side, if they will continue playing the same system and keeps doing their respective roles the future ahead is
more likely to advance to the next round. Though the competitions from the east is not that easy since Bucks and Sixers together with the Defending
champ Barney still standing strong.

I feel like Carmelo Anthony has managed to make a legendary comeback, in the end he has been playing so amazingly without any issues. Sure, his defense hasn't been really that great but he was never known for his great defense. All the team has to do now is to make sure they cover the defenses lapses Melo makes and if they could manage that "switching" defense they could potentially utilize Carmelo Anthony as well as they potentially could.

I would love to see him play until at the end of the season as well, his contract is not a non-guaranteed deal so they could fire him if they wanted to but I hope Melo plays well enough and doesn't get wavied from the team. I think he also said that he doesn't want this to be a "farewell tour" type of season which means he wants to keep playing next year as well.

Honestly, I believed every team knows already that Melo's defense will not be improved more, as you said, he was never known for great defense. He is just a few years away from hanging his jersey and almost a career over, so switching into pure defense mode might be difficult for him.  

So what needs to do is to fill his defense hole as long as he will be seen aggressively nailing a shot but the problem is, it's no doubt that Melo's production isn't impressive these past few seasons. Back in OKC (check stats), their offensive power is much weaker when Melo is on the floor compared to while he is on the bench. Way better even without the presence of PG and WB on the floor, as long as Melo isn't playing.

So here in Portland, we noticed he is taking lots of field goals as that his main forte'. I just hope he will get that consistency on his perimeter shooting to contribute to the team that give him the chance to play again.

What I noticed is, when Lakers began to make a rally, the momentum of Pelicans were destroyed. They turned into a first-timers in a pressured match game. They are up by a decent lead until the start of 4Q then LeBron turned into his aggressive phase nailing a shot at the rainbow, perimeter and under the rim. Several good assists were made too by him as Pelicans defense wrecked. And those uncontested shots made by the Pelicans during the last-minute were all missed.

Good run though. It's almost a win for them but they "choked". However, they able to cover the spread.

But imagine what if the Pelicans won that? How much was the odds here? I haven't looked at it yesterday.

I didnt even expect that he do play well on his 1st game after his recent injury.

There is no serious injury that he committed so he is back in business, prior to the game against the nets, there's an update that he was already practicing with the team and if came back, he will be given limited minutes but it was a surprise that he played with good minutes and good numbers.

Good for Boston, they loss Hayward and now Walker just filling that gap, and one good thing is that everyone can step up.
I like the mentality of Walker not demanding for some special attention, he is a tough GUY, not load management needed.

He found a good team with the Boston, when he was in Charlotte, he hold the ball most of the time as the play is design for him to produce more points, its more like an Irving kind of play and we saw how effective he is with the Boston Celtics now.

Luckily Kemba's injury doesn't have a long term permanent damage on him. That's why in his first game coming back from that injury, he really did good and perform above expectations.

And the way he played against the Nets, it looks like he doesn't have the effects of that injury and it says how tough this man is. And it you have seen his highlights that game, he feel down, made twisted shots. Good win for the Celtics, they are just 2 games behind Bucks in the East and tied with defending champs Raptors.

I know bucks keeps winning, but compared to the Celtics, I believe they are the better team here although they got eliminated last playoffs by the bucks.
My bet is on the Celtics now, they have a great chance of winning in the east especially when Hayward will come back healthy again.
With their team chemistry, its hard to predict who will score and they really put a lot of effort in all their games, they don't take their opponent lightly.

We judge him that he is still the same Anthony in his first 2 to 3 games because he was struggling, now that he had some amazing game on their last win, we think he can comeback to be a legendary,.. I'm done, I am not judging yet for now since its too early, they will have to bounce back to a good standing as they keep losing in their past games, if Melo is really a big asset, he can help the Blazers to reach in the top 3, its a hard challenge but its possible.

No, I don't think they choked. It is just that the Lakers players are used to crucial games like that specially Lebron.

He knows the capability of Davis that's why he wants him to play with him and he was not wrong in picking Davis as he is what he was expecting.
When Lebron act as point guard, a lot of good things will happen for the Lakers.
just a simple play, he will bring the ball, if there is no other option, he will drive to attract defense, either pass the ball or just shoot, but the offensive rebound can still be in their advantage since both guys are talk and really physical.

Lebron is something who could pull all the guards towards him that will free up so many spaces making other role players to shoot the ball without even so much effort. Higher percentage to make it.

With AD's skill to shoot anywhere it is unstoppable. He doesn't even need to back down so much, with his height and long arms he could just shoot it while fading away.

Add KCP and Green outside. This team will be hard to beat but that doesn't mean they can just sit and relax.

The young Pelicans somehow choked on the last quarter as they seemed helpless when the Lakers offensive fire power began to spark. But, let's not give them a lot of criticisms from the disappointing result for the Pels, considering the Lakers is a powerhouse team in the West. I mean they have a lot of options offensively. If ya'll noticed, Kuzma doesn't usually score in the early games, but look at how the Lakers set up Kuzma in the 4th as he pour a lot of score early in the last quarter to catch up with the opponent's score. I've seen it a couple of times in a different games.

Well, I agree with that, Pelicans were up and they were suppose to win that match but Lakers knows how to come back and that's what I like on a team. Lebron and AD having a great chemistry, they are affecting the other players to be more confident, and their back up bigs are very effective.
I have a feeling that they'll end up the number 1 in overall and beat Giannis team.
