The Philadelphia 76ers received some pretty good news on Thursday, one day after All-Star Ben Simmons exited early against the Utah Jazz with a shoulder injury.

It doesn’t seem to be too serious. Simmons will miss Friday’s outing against the Denver Nuggets with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder.

Good thing the injury wasn't so serious, he will be out tomorrow but will play on their next game.
What do we think about their game tomorrow, do 76ers has a chance to win against the Nuggets on the road without Simmons?

He was lucky to got out with not so serious injury. Injury comes to those players with talents because they exceed human capabilities and their body can't coup up to this talent.

No, I don't believe on that, everyone are at risk of getting injured as they are competing at a high level.
There's a lot of players in the NBA that are not contributing well but are still injured, it can happen during the game and even in practice, just take a look of what happen to Cousins here, he was injured during the practice.

$50,000 is quite a huge fine for a single player compared to the 2012 Spurs $25,000 fine for resting Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli in a single game.

IMO, they are just using the word " load management" but in reality, there's more serious behind their action, maybe part of the tactics.

Using load management to conceal the true intentions of resting the player to avoid being injured. While the other teams are risking all their key players to play all 82 games disregarding the possibility of becoming injured. Do you call it tactics? I dont think so. It's close to cheating, not only with the NBA but also to the fans.
Injury is part of the game, deal with it. Durability is an important attribute.

Clippers are plying it smart imo. They are not risking their best players health while giving chance to others in their team to step up. It's working for them so far and this strategy will benefit them come playoff time.

I don't know about being spoiled but he probably requested to have some rest in between games and Doc agreed.
If it worked before then it's worth trying it again. I mean, if there is an effective way to avoid or minimize injuries then use it.

It will be difficult for their rotation when their pointguard is out.
But there is still Embiid and Big Al out there who could somehow fill the hole even if Ben is out.
They might not be pointguards but with post up games this two could really kill inside the painted area.
They just need someone with a good passing skill, I bet their off guards could do that.

But it is Denver we are talking about, there is Jokic who could really defend well. They will need a lot of energy against a team with so much chemistry.

Yeah, there are a lot of people who get injured playing basketball its not even about the level of play here.

These people are at peak human condition so of course it takes harder for them to injure and if someone like me who hasn't played organized sport for years goes out and plays once every week (and I am not even talking about 3-4 times a week like NBA players or that level) in a street court I would eventually get injured, it is just about the sport and the risks of it, you are not going to gym and run on a treadmill (which even THAT has a risk) but you are playing a sport, so if a guy playing once a week on court has a high chance of injury (jumping up and down, or running and stopping quickly all have high risks of injury on your knees) then a player that plays 82 games a year plus playoffs surely can get injured a lot more frequently.

Basketball is a lot more dangerous then it looks to your body and people do not realize that, its not easy to play basketball without ever injuring yourself these days, sure there are players who do not get injured that easily but that doesn't mean its not risky, its risky but some people are a lot more strong than others.

Honestly even with Simmons it was going to be a tough game for them.  Denver is one of the best teams in the NBA and are insanely good at home.  Having to travel west, and without Simmons I think this one might be a semi-blowout.  I think the spread right now is only around 5.  Might be a good game to go in on.

I do agree. And Denver Nuggets is one of the best team in the league with an impressive home record stats last season (34-7).

Sixers with or without Simmons will surely have a tough time dealing with this team. And that load now became heavier for the Sixers now that Simmons will not play. But on the other hand, time again for J. Richardson to showcase what he got. He is playing with impressive stats recently and with the absence of Simmons, he is expected to give more of a boost in Sixers offense.

I am not against Kawhi or any hate with him. I love the guy and that is why I want to see him every game.
I am against the NBA management. This is another proof of them being soft.
In 90's this was not done. Damn players are working their ass every game even with mild injuries or even a fever. i.e. Michael Jordan
I guess he is being forced to not play the game even though Kawhi want to.
It is just another mess for the NBA management and not for the Clippers. Yeah, $50k is not enough, take it to another damn level like $1 million.

But let's not forgot that when he is on San Antonio, he was cleared by the doctor to play, but he didn't. He was already healthy that time and then ask to be traded and the rest is history.

Anyways, it was just blown out of proportion because he is a superstar, $50k is peanut, but this could set a precedence, (if it's not happening already).

I already said in my post yesterday that the Clippers might be following the 2019 Raptors formula of winning a championship. The Clippers will not show their real strength before the playoffs, I reckon. Why would they risk missing their best players on injury?

Still have time to bet for this game, Miami is impressive and the team is playing solid together it's nice to see how they will compete with superteam that lebron have right now. 1.24 ML is not that too attracting for lakers but if you are a gambler and you can give your team a good confidence -10.5 handicap for 2.33 odd will give you a decent profits, though surely it's a risk knowing Miami's caliber.

Well Lakers was in front the whole game so I wouldn't say that Miami choked.

They did make a comeback though, I think the closest they got is 71-78 until Lebron took over, I though he will get a triple double again. 

AD also had a good night scoring 26 points. Looks like they have already build a chemistry, not sure about how many assists the team got but they showed a lot of that in this game. Next stop for them is the defending champs Toronto. Let's see if they can maintain their lead (7-1).

Crazy game last night in the  Salt Lake City, Jazz beat Bucks with buzzer beater 103:100, after  having 100-92 lead 1:12 before end. Definitely worth getting up to watch .

Jazz is currently 6-3, with one of the toughest schedules in those first 9 games as more than half of the games were against legit contenders (2x Clippers, Lakers, 76s, Bucks among those 9), and on top of that there is plenty of  room for improvement, especially on the offense, it is not as smooth as it was last season, but they are getting there.
If they manage that, and with this defense (currently best in the league) they might go far.

Also, it was noticed that Giannis has a lot of foul trouble games this season, in this season, he was already fouled out 3 times.
I think he needs to control that as it could become his weakness, he needs to stay in the game to help the team to win up to the last minute.

Yeah Giannis was fouled out. He played very aggressively  2nd half as they were loosing by something like 20 points. After all he scored 28 out of his 30 points in that period, but that style of play might get him into  foul trouble.

It is true that Jazz team  is work in progress, but they managed to keep best offensive team in NBA this season to 100 points, while Bucks average is 122. So I would say that their defense works, slumps like that will happen, especially against top teams like Bucks.
