Thats good enough for a MVP discussion without a doubt, this should be something that would benefit even if we keep just the "best player in a first ranked team", not even east only, we are talking about both east and west, that's a damn good team and he is the best player in that team. What else would you need for someone to be in MVP discussion? That should be the most important part. I believe that he is much better than all other candidates so far, everyone else plays great in either bad teams, or teams that are still worse than Celtics, so it should be recognized that Tatum is having a great year.

Many factors determine whether a player deserves the MVP trophy or not. I think both the team results and the individual stats of a player are important. As for Tatum, he is certainly good and is the best player on his team. Someone has to step up in the absence of Joel, we have seen Maxey do that in the early part. But I guess he is not that consistent as well, not enough experience to lead a team. But it's good that he has been given the chance as he will definitely the new face of the franchise in the future.

Yes this is true! Maxey is not yet ready to lead a team, he's still 23 years old, but he has a promising future ahead of him. As expected, the Sixers lost to the Celtics, but Maxey had an excellent performance and scored 32 points.

I think the Clippers have proved that they can win without Paul George though, so I wouldn't say that his absence is not the factor here. They even built a 21 point advantage and Lakers looking to lose this one already. But the Lakers specially Lebron doesn't want to lose this game, one of his best game so far. And he shows his basketball IQ here, and he goes where he wants, force a switch with Theis and then take advantage of the big guy to either shot or pass the ball to Rui.

It was opposite on me mate, I was late in the game, saw it when they are chirping away that big lead in the 4th quarter. And when it was time for me to watch it live, the Lakers are just behind two points or if the tie is score. And then Rui missing the first of his three point, they got the possession back, Lebron gave him an assist and finally nailed one in the same spot to give them the lead for good.

From 5th-10th seed, teams are very close and just a couple of games separating them. Suns 34 wins at 5th, while the Warriors at 10th seed with 30 wins. I just notice though that the Celtics the best team right now, is having a 9th game winning streak that no one discusses. Not just the Sixers, but the Celtics are dominating this season and it's really hard to see why Tatum is not in the MVP race or discussion.

They are hard to beat with this kind of game, with KP also playing like a version of his New York Knicks days. On the other hand, and when I say that I'm done with the Bulls they win in OT against, the Cavs.

In the early part of the game, the Lakers seem uninterested in playing and don't want to win the game. They are getting pounded in the paint, and pick and roll with James Harden is killing them. Also, they are not playing enough D, and shots are not falling. To be honest, I really didn't watch the second half and just took a nap, as I thought that this game was an easy win for the Clips. But as I wake up, I see the Lakers have won the game. Lebron James led the fourth-quarter run and never looked back. My favorite part of the game is the shot of D'Lo in the corner coming from a pass from James. D'Lo didn't even dip the ball; he just caught it and shot it immediately. 

My bad, I did not bet on the Lakers for this one. I think the odds for the Lakers reached up to 15? (I'm not really sure.) I was tempted to bet on the first half, but seeing how they played, I didn't continue betting on this game.

Big comebacks from a huge deficit are not new in the NBA; this season, I've seen a lot of games already. Leonard was out in that game, while PG fouled out in the 4th with 3 minutes remaining in the game.

The main reason why Tatum does not excel in the stats is that the Celtics share the ball very well. Although Tatum is probably their best player, other starters also step up. I think for Tatum, it will be more significant in his career if he wins a championship first before winning a season MVP. This season, the Celtics have a very good chance of winning the championship, and with that said, if they win, Tatum will likely get his first Finals MVP award, making it easier for him to win a season MVP in the future.

I only watched the recap and couldn't believe how the Lakers turned this game around.
Apparently also the Lakers didn't win "visiting" the Clippers since 2002. Considering how bad the Clippers were that's quite surprising.
The Clippers should really question themselves how losing a 21 point lead in like 8 minutes is possible with this team. Ok George was out but they still have Kawhi, Westbrick  , Harden and solid role players, a 16:39 4th quarter should not happen here. You can slow down the pace, let the clock work in your favour but most importantly, slow down a 39 year old LBJ. Don't give him wide open 3s and so on, you know he can get hot.

Anyway, good win for the Lakers, I didn't see that coming to be honest!

Lakers gave the Clips a taste of their own medicine. LOL. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that; I thought the Clippers had a good night and would bounce back from their previous loss. But it turns out PG was really a big factor on their offense and defense, and they badly need him. Great game by Bron, although the Lakers are very unpredictable, they are fun to watch because they get better against a good team like the Clips.

That's why they cannot be underestimated because if they feel like winning, they won't gonna give their opponent easy games rather they fight until the last minute and this is one example of that. They are not gonna give the Clippers an easy win despite they are the favorite team to win last night and they were dazzled in the last quarter when LBJ took matters into his own hands by making shot after shots to keep trimming the lead until they finally catch up and win the game. This is how he takes over a crucial game and if only he was in his prime, this is how most of his games against top teams will end up like how they used to be back at the Miami Heat.
