Finally, 2024 NBA All-Star starters announced. Almost all players are expected picks except maybe Lillard-Brunson. Trae Young fan rank was also too high but media and players didn't pick him that high. I think fan votes should have higher weight for starters. The game is played for fans in the end.

I know the players appreciate being voted by their peers. Durant tweeted as much earlier today. I’m sure they appreciate the fan vote too. They don’t seem too thrilled about the media though. Most of these guys have developed a bit of a hateful relationship with the reporters covering their teams.

Exactly, that is why they need to change the weight of the voting favoring the fans more than the weight from the media and peer votes. Just like what @EFS said, it's a game dedicated for the fans to enjoy seeing their favorite players participate in the allstar weekend. I don't know what happened with the "business" in this case lol.

On the other hand, the Lakers-Bulls game have just concluded a couple of hours ago and It's interesting to see DLo continuing to do better after the trade rumor drama surrounding the Lakers lately. He has been averaging more than 25ppg, 5+apg, and shooting more than 50% from the field in the last 5 games. Not to mention he's been shooting lights out against the Bulls tonight. It kind of excites me how the Lakers management react to this, but I could only come up with 2 possible scenarios here regarding DLo's most recent performance, he's either stay with the Lakers considering he'd be more consistent moving forward or he'd just increase his trade value for the Lakers to land a better trade pair for the likes of Trae Young or Donovan Mitchell.

That's their game, on and off (very unpredictable). That's why I'm done betting on them although I still watch their game. We miss the old Warriors but it will never be coming back as Draymond, Klay, and Curry are getting older and they haven't change theri style while other teams have figured out already how to counter their small ball game.

However, you can't also underestimate the Kings, they have been a good rival and if I'm not mistaken, their score this season is even. It looks like we are on a playoff atmosphere, but it is what it is, they make mistakes, they pay for it, so better luck next time.

But you must love the heat of the game. Their rivalry is definitely real. Cheesy
Steph should've called a timeout when he saw the double coming. It could've left him 3-4 seconds and Coach Steve Kerr can write something up to maybe claim the win. Although I know that not using a timeout after a rebound is to prevent the Kings from setting their defense, Klay Thompson was slow getting down while he handled the ball so everything is set for the Kings because of that. Harrison Barnes was phenomenal today and I was sad I didn't add him to my player props. That was surprising to me as I didn't watch the Kings' last game where he also made 30+ points.

Still, I like how Jonathan Kuminga is growing. Double digits in points for these past weeks and tonight was the highest with 31 points. He is becoming an offensive weapon of the Warriors and he is still learning. His body control mid-air is also getting better, I cannot even count how many and1's he made today. Then, he is using ball fakes at the right timing and he is now using it effectively against big men when he is under the paint.
Last night he was also awesome. 11/11 field goals. Yes, did not even miss a shot. The Warriors still have a chance if Coach Kerr could make some plays for him.

We need to see him getting more minutes with the team, he is not only beneficial on the offensive end but he is also a good defender and a rebounder. We have to admit that the Warriors now are different during the previous seasons when they are still dominating, but what I admire about them is they never give up and still remain competitive, Curry wasn't even asking for a trade when their team are struggling, they'll fix this problem and I'm optimistic with that.

Losing 1 point is not bad at all on a competitive game, and the Warriors shooting are very impressive.

Overall - FG percentage, 56%... 3 Pts 51%, and FT's 78%. They just had a rough night that's why they loss.

Doc Rivers is Doc rivers. Finding an NBA champion coach is always something teams wants to do, and not like they were bad enough that they should have fired their manager, it makes sense to keep the manager if they feel like it, but Bud was decent too and yet they parted ways.

Well, the main reason why Bud left was because Bud's brother died, and he wanted to take a break, which is understandable, but it's fine. I think Doc Rivers has been a decent head coach for a long time now, for over 20+ years, and he has a title, so the fact that he would be hired by many teams, teams that have good squads, is a common thing. This is why they are doing this change, they believe that he could be the type of head coach that can bring them a ring.

It's clear that Doc Rivers holds a significant reputation in the NBA coaching world, and teams often seek an experienced coach, especially one with a championship under his belt. While the decision to part ways with the 76ers, who was also decent, might be surprising, it seems the move is driven by the belief that Doc Rivers could be the coach to lead the team to a championship. The circumstances around River's departure, given the personal tragedy he faced, add a layer of understanding to the situation. With over 20 plus years of coaching experience, including a title, Rivers appears to be a sought-after figure for teams aiming for success,

But right now I have read from the news that Doc Rivers is accepting the offer of the Milwaukee Bucks after a three-year tenure as head coach of the 76ers while replacing first-year coach Adrian Griffin who the Bucks fired after 43 games.

Jesus Christ, the Warriors.
What is left of them these days is hard to watch.

I am not complaining, I may have lost the bet on them but they got 3 injuries and crucial pivotal members, actually, I was really surprised by how close the game can become, and seeing Andrew Wiggins have some decent stuff, maybe not that decent enough but for sure he is getting there I think little by little, he will be out of that Slump, while Impressive performance for Jonathan Kuminga playing 30 mins with 3 rebounds, 3 assist, and 31 points, you can never see him play hard like that I just wish he can reach his potential faster because he will be a different beast for now on, while there are many unplayed players for the Warriors Trayce Jackson-Davis included they still manage this kind of thing and make the Kings struggle, is something really great for me.

I hate Coach Doc "Choke" Rivers because of how he coached the Clippers, and the Sixers in the past few years, but looking at the roster of coaches right now, I don't see anybody fit to coach the Bucks right now aside from him. Coach Terry Stotts is the one that I saw as well because he was an assistant coach of the Bucks before he left, but it seems like the Bucks picked coach Doc Rivers despite his bad record during the playoffs.

TBH, I don't know how will the Bucks be affected now that they have a new coach but I'm excited to see the Bucks team led by their new coach. I guess now's the time for me as well to be optimistic when it comes to him. I just don't like how he coached in the past, but who knows? We might see a different Doc Rivers right now. Smiley I hope that him and Giannis will work together for another title, and I hope they will put Thanasis as their equipment manager. Tongue Kidding.

Since Indiana Pacers acquired Pascal Siakam, they've been into losses. That's to be expected as there's not going to be easy chemistry with every transfer.
~
Well, they just won against the Sixers, and he put a triple-double 26-13-10
We are intelligent enough to know that whenever there are changes in the team, chemistry will be affected and the Pacers are no different. I expect that their chemistry will get affected in the first few games, but they have Haliburton to lead the team. A lowkey big 3 of Siakam, Haliburton and Turner? Cheesy

Yes, and there instance that there was a no call on Steph Curry and that fumble in the end, very uncanny of him but he was double team and time is running out. It was a very competitive game indeed. It's winnable, and playing against one of the best team in the West, and they have the numbers against the Kings, but I guess they don't want to lose another games to the Warriors.

And for the Warriors fans, I know it's tough to see them lose another close game, but I think this season, it's a different team and there could be movement of some pieces before the trade deadline.

Cheesy

It's the risk that they take when they acquire Siakal though, but it paid off handsomely as he play very well and then posting a triple double as a Pacer. And I guess being on a different team, Pascal might have to prove himself again. They point a great defense of him, but it seems that he was just dancing around those defenders and then easy scoring. And with this kind of performance, the Pacers even without Haliburton, can still go and fight against the tough season and maybe move on the playoff. And once Haliburton is back, going to be a very scary team.

What is left of them these days is hard to watch.
They fought hard to come back and stay in the game and in the final minute they blow it yet again.

In the past GSW matches were so much fun to watch but these days it's just sad.  Cry

Well, that's just how they are and this time their luck didn't reach the final score as Curry's decision didn't go well on that last possession. That's why he is no longer the starter on all-stars this season because he seems not to have the best moment of his life in the NBA recently. And they cannot make some good play anymore after they lose Jordan Poole and it seems like they are a broken team two even though Klay is fine and playing well. This might be the start of their downfall unless they make some huge adjustments in the future.

We will see tomorrow if they have already figure out how to win against a tough team. They beat the Sixers which is a tough team but one win is not enough. They'll be hosting the Suns tomorrow on the same venue they domiante the Sixers, let's see if they can stop the win streak of this hot Phoenix Suns.

Gone are the days that the Warriors are exciting to watch. All they have now is struggle in the game, especially in the 4th quarter which they are suppose to dominate in the past. They also lose their 3rd quarter dominance as there are some games where they aren't dominating anymore and sometimes they are the ones who are being dominated in the 3rd quarter.

Curry is averaging 26.8 points per game this season. So he is as good as ever and is still the leader of the team. I think the Warriors' poor results this season are primarily the result of controversial decisions by their management. One of those decisions was signing Green to a 100 million dollar contract.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors started a total roster rebuild in the near future, and the only one who remained from the current roster would be Curry.

Curry stats is still good if we compared him to other regular players that is not on a star level. But we should admit that his skills is already deteriorating or simply not that impactful unlike before when he is young and relying too much to his teammates just to create a space on his own.

His 3pt shooting is already same with other star players since most of the players focusing on 3s too. He is not giving huge impact in the game compared to his younger version regardless of who is his teammates. Warriors shooting is already not that lethal while they lack of good center which is the current meta nowadays on NBA. Warriors is in a great disadvantage considering how strong teams now build their roster.

Hopefully there's a major addition or changes to the Warriors roster that would fix their problem. They have a lot of close games and they lose most of them. Before, when the Warriors are holding a big lead, it's unlikely that the opposing team will come back, this season they have some disappointing lose from that.

Warriors are currently ranked at number 12 with below .500 win rate. This showed how they really struggled, plus the loss of Draymond Green is still a big factor on why they struggled a lot on their defense. I don't know when he'll come back, but if ever he'll come back soon, I'm hoping to see a change Draymond Green and will bring back the old kind of energy they had during their championship run.

Utah ended the bad trend away at Washington. Utah was the winner with a score of 108-123.
Washington is having an extremely bad season as a team this year. The total number of wins since the beginning of Sezok is 6. Utah's win over Washington cannot be an indicator. It only ended a 3-game losing streak. The next game for Utah could be considered an easy one. Even though Charlotte is one level better than Washington, the Utah Jazz. They are a very distant team and Utah should beat Charlotte very easily.

I don’t think we’re seeing a decline in Steph’s abilities as much as his teammates are no longer carrying their weight. Steph is having to carry the Warriors on his back this year with Draymond and Klay seemingly no longer able to perform at the highest level. I think the dynasty is over and they need to figure out some way to sign Giannis.

It's sad that we're not going to see Steph on this all stars night. I'm feeling bad about him but was this the decision of voting made by fans, right?

I think the dynasty is over and they need to figure out some way to sign Giannis.
That's pretty much it is.

It's just going to be a matter of time until we see some talks again about him going to GSW. But it's a bargain for GSW if it happens, together with his brother.  Cheesy

Despite their good record, second best in the eastern conference with 31-13, it was a known fact that they had problems with their coach. And their defense had taken a hit this year. I believe that the hype around this hire is excessive, and the Bucks will be OK. Additionally, I'm sick of people ignoring how awful Budenholzer was throughout the playoffs and how crucial it was to fire him. But also I am not sure how good can Doc be in the playoffs and making a team champion. The inability to adjust and the tendency to blow leads during the playoffs are major problems. Doc can make terrible teams become good, but he can't make good teams become great. It's also ridiculous to sign Doc to a three-year contract.

There's not a world that dlo would land anywhere close to a Trae or Donovan.  Either one of those 2 would require a ton of first round picks.  Lakers I think can only trade theor 2029 first round pick which isn't worth much.  If those 2 are on the trade block (which they arent) there would be a ton of other teams that could offer way more than the Lakers could.  They are in a bad position right now.
