Domantas doesn't play for the US; he plays for Lithuania, a European team. Another notable player that played for that team is Jonas Valanciunas of the Pelicans, but yeah, having a Sabonis-type player on the US team is really a great help for the team. But I think most of the players included are deserving of being there. It is a combination of young and seasoned veterans, as well as a mixture of offense and defense, so I think this team is complete and ready to avenge the US in the Olympics. A player that I am questioning here is Embiid. I know that he is 30 and, of course, he also wants to win a gold medal in his career since it is a good accolade for him, but playing for the US? I mean, he's from Cameroon, so he should be representing that country. But with him living in the US for half of his life and having his son as an American citizen, I think it is fair to say that he is good at playing for the US.
This team is more than ready to avenge team US. Even if you only choose 6 players with their respective roles and add decent bench players that doesn’t have a star power is already enough to dominate the olympics since too much star might overwhelm each other that might be the reason to limit their full potential. I don’t like AD to be on this line-up since Embiid is already enough. Only the chemistry will decide if this team will work or flop since other international team has a lot of training together compared to this US team that has a limited time to workout for their chemistry.

It's possible, I just hope that he won't get that career destroying injury just as what happened to the many aspiring greatest players but then, lost it all when they've contained it. And speaking of him, congratulations to him for being part of the Team USA.
Team USA has released their roster for the upcoming 2024 Olympics. LeBron James Stephen Curry Kevin Durant Joel Embiid Devin Booker Jayson Tatum Anthony Davis Tyrese Haliburton Anthony Edwards Jrue Holiday Bam Adebayo Kawhi Leonard
Who do you think should have been there? These members are too good enough for the team US and maybe we can see a good play in this time. Cause other countries have a good team as well like Serbia, France , and Canada these teams are very good as well but my prediction in this are if the team US will loss then they will behind not exceed in 25 points but I think team US will fight for the finals. As we all know the capabilities of the players this time. Even though they don't have enough chemistry but veterans moves is there.

If you say Bam Adebayo, well he is undersized for a Center position, he will not match the European players who plays at the Center position. If you say Embiid is enough, who's gonna occupy the Center position in the 2nd unit? Now, as for the team chemistry, I don't think they'll have a major problem about it. I mean these players are an elite players who has the talent to understand how the game works and how it's supposed to work, they have played each other for several years, reviewing tapes after tapes to try to read their moves and the way they play. They are the superstars in each team, they knew the style of play they play on the court. Also, how do we know if the other international teams have spent more time in trainings that the US do? When these international players who also has their own league they played.

I think I might even prefer Anthony Davis in the said roster compared to Embiid who is clearly still recovering from a major surgery, Anthony Davis is very versatile and also a two-way player, and with Lebron on the roster you can only anticipate a deeper chemistry between them. Bam Adebayo is sole backup center would likely be a failed project, because Bam Adebayo is indeed undersized for a center playing against the new approach of teams which favors playing highly sized players for forward and center roles, Bam would definitely struggle against a French team for instance pairing Wemby and Gobert as F and C.

I don't think anybody can do better than Embiid, AD, Adebayo. Of course it would be more than perfect if they kind of a player like Jokic, Sabonis or Sengun but I think this is the best USA can do and it is already crazy good. Embiid might be the most dominant player in this crazy good team even. Please note that I think every player in this team is of course amazing and dominant but Embiid might be the most dominant even among them.

Yes, I do agree, AD is playing solid all throughout this season as well, While Joel come from a injury and not sure if he is 100% recovered already as I think the Sixers needs him in time to get into a playoff spot.
And it could be the US is really playing small and they could indeed be undersize in the center position for Olympic competition. But I think what they will do is to use their speed again and try to outhustle European players if that works.

I think the x factor is lebron. It's his last trip with the US jersey on and he is playing for his legacy. I don't think anyone on the international level can compete with him if he is in fight mode and drives. If he takes outside shots all touny they will be in trouble. That's the key here for them I think.

Right, solid combination and this team will be lead by Lebron and Steph Curry and this players are going to play with pride as they will be carrying the US flag and try to redeem themselves again. They might be lacking on the height as we have other teams way above 7 footers as their center, but I guess Bam and AD and Joel are used to playing big mean and they are going to used that experience to push the centers of the other teams. Just a question whether they will blend on time and get that Gold again.

No Jimmy Buckets! Jimmy Butler officially ruled out of Friday's do-or-die Play-In game vs. BullsWe're waiting for him this play-in and then he's got injured for the very first game. This MCL sprain on his right knee really, come on. We know how he changes and puts himself into beast mode every play-in/playoffs that they're going. I guess that there's no more threat to the Celtics with this news. But with the Bulls, as they'll be the one for their next matchup, everyone is going to put money on the line for the Bulls. They might I just wouldn't count out the Heat. Not that Jimmy isn't the biggest part of that team but you never know in one and done games. One cold streak by either team and you can lose. Like the regular season when good teams lose to bottom feeders. That's where 7 game series come in play. Yeah, the team is still good even if Jimmy isn't there but can't deny the fact that he's always changing his form during the playoffs to finals if ever they get in. It's already 1-0 in favor of Bulls and this 2nd game, no Jimmy and that's an advantage still for the Bulls. But we'd see then if this is going to game 3 since there have been a lot of games in the past that they're able to win even if there's no Jimmy on the roster. Over time the best teams win but one and done I hate betting.
He has made a lot of bettors richer last season but maybe not this time but I hope that they win later.

As for Paul George, I agree on this one but the roster's been lock and good luck to USA team to the Olympics.
Yeah, he deserved a spot as after his serious injury, got healed and has been playing still like his prime. PG13 could add more depth on the team USA but the current roster are strong enough to bring home the gold. They don't want to make the same mistake again like what happen during the FIBA world, now they are gonna send the NBA's best players (USA ONLY) to ensure a win. as we can see on the betting odds, team USA is still the heavy favorite with -500 odds, follow by Serbia with +750, but there's a huge difference. https://www.covers.com/olympics/mens-basketball-oddsWhile I am optimistic with the roster to take home the gold but I just don't want to belittle other participating teams as it has happened in the past that some of them managed to win against them. Brunson maybe for Kawhi but I'm thinking, they will be lacking forwards if they will remove Kawhi that's why they gave the final spot to him.
Yeah, Brunson is also a good one and deserves a spot there but due to the limited number of slots, he's not in. This is a serious roster that tells other team "we'll taking home the gold".

So far Miami looks good without Jimmy buckets but it's a long game. Chicago started off real cold. Who does everyone have in the next game? I'm on the Pelicans, think home cooking helps them pull through like it's been for miami.

Honestly, I'm surprised by the Heat's performance in this game. Looks like the Heat don't need Butler and Rozier to beat an opponent like the Bulls. There are still 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter, but the Heat are already leading by 27 points. As for the Pelicans, if they perform as they did with the Lakers, they will hardly have any chance against the Kings.

I'm with you on this one. Surprised it's a close game considering Zion is not playing and BI is out of "shape". Go Kings!!

It was a dominant win by Heat, it seems like they really don't need Butler after all as we can see the ball movement is very flawless and everyone is getting a good touch. Herro and JJJ doing their thing, they lead the team in this big win and I'm happy that this rookie is getting his minutes and attempts he needed. now, it's all set for this team, they'll face the Celtics but not in the ECF, and I think this isn't an easy money for the Celtcs bettors as Heat have prove time and time again that they are a legit team, they work based on their culture and we should understand that.

Ingram has finally lead the team and he is not limited anymore, the size of the Pelicans have really bothered the Kings as Murray have struggled in this game too. I've seen some sequences where Kings got blocked, so that could tell they played greate defense. 8 blocks vs 4 blocks, and kings also got outrebounded. now, it's all set for this team, they'll face the Celtics but not in the ECF, and I think this isn't an easy money for the Celtcs bettors as Heat have prove time and time again that they are a legit team, they work based on their culture and we should understand that.
We aren't sure about this one but the odds are telling that Celtics could sweep the Miami Heat. IIRC, Miami beat the Celtics on the road without Butler too, so this is getting more exciting, love if the Heat will surprise the Celtics again.

If I talk about yesterday's match, Heat really dominated in the 2nd half, it is impressive they end up by a win without Jimmy Butler or Terry Rozier. Erik Spoelstra's selection center Bam Adebayo was a good decision, Adebayo hold the team till the end and earned fourth Boston Series. Yes, the Miami Heat and Celtics are going to face each other in the playoffs round one. I absolutely agree with the fact that the Miami Heat is a team that has created a lot of problems for other teams that they face. And of course, they are all legit teams. Because from a "not so advantageous" position they can still perform. Miami Heat is a team that has proved themselves again and again even in unfavored situations. Currently, Miami Heat is in really good form as well. The Celtics will have a problem on their hand in the upcoming match against Miami Heat.

You won if you bet for the New Orleans Pelicans, nice pick. Brandon Ingram stepped up his game even though he came from the injury because they needed him the most without Zion. But I think everyone is a player of the game. Larry Nance Jr. contributed underneath the rim with his volleyball spike offensive rebounds, Valanciunas had his moments, and so did Murphy, Alvarado, and the others. This is the Pelicans that we saw last season even without Zion, they are playing hard on both ends of the floor, especially on defense. 1/2 for me here. I never doubted the Miami Heat to win that game so I got one there but I never thought the Kings would play this bad. How I wish Malik Monk was there to give the team some energy. Now the playoff seeds are complete, later we will have an early game at 1:00 AM GMT+8 Cavs vs Magic.

Heat and Pelicans got the last tickets to play-offs as many expected. Now it's play-off time!
Magic - Cavaliers Suns - Timberwolves Sixers - Knicks Lakers - Nuggets
My day 1 expectations. Home teams should win at home since this is first game and the crowds support would be amazing.

Brandon Ingram lead the team this time in the absence of Zion and it just took them the 2nd quarter to put a good enough lead that the Kings wasn't able to climb back. Although they did make a run in the last 3 minutes of the game, but it was not enough. And probably Fox hitting the top of back board in the first last quarter shows that they defense of the Pelicans it very good. They didn't even crack 100 points in this game.
