Donovan Mitchell expected to sign a 4-year $200 million plus deal today to stay with the Cavs. I guess he didn’t see much interest from other teams, or he decided to just take the bag and never compete for a championship. I don’t blame him. 200+ million dollars is a nice chunk of change.
Edit: Warriors have released Chris Paul. Which team will be willing to pick him up? I think it’s over for him but we’ll see if LeBron wants to play with his friend and his son. Isn’t Bronny’s godfather Chris Paul?

Dallas Mavericks sent Tim Hardaway Jr. and 3 second-round picks to the Detroit Pistons, while adding Quentin Grimes to their roster in return.
Smart move by the Dallas Mavericks. After all the role of THJ to the Mavs, he didn't even did it right and now he's going to a shitty team. Well, no offense about the Detroit Pistons. They were once one of the best team but that era has been gone long time ago and that roster way back then was good compared to theirs now. While I appreciate Cade Cunningham, he should be transferred to a better team and get some help from other stars. No way Detroit let's cade go that would completely destroy theor rebuild. He is the piece that needs to take the next step. In terms of moves I think it was a good one for Dallas. Quentin is a solid backcourt defender and with Luka and kyrie getting all the pressure on offense q can just spot up and shoot 3s all day. Cade can find himself in the playoffs or even in the finals but with a better team and that's what other teams are doing. They're reforming their roster and actually investing to their players to get better ones. But if he's bind with a contract and he'll stay there, he'd always end up not seeing it. Or, if he wants to be the face of his team, we can't do anything about that even if we want him to reach better place.

That's good for him. The Cavs did well on putting the tab on him with that contract. And despite that he can probably get some better contract on other team, $200M plus is a lot of money for him to say no. Edit: Warriors have released Chris Paul. Which team will be willing to pick him up? I think it’s over for him but we’ll see if LeBron wants to play with his friend and his son. Isn’t Bronny’s godfather Chris Paul?
Maybe one or two more seasons for him. Let's see if the move of Lebron of declining the player option for which sure is a pay cut could give him some space for a contract.

Doesn't move the needle. With embid taking the Lions share of the 5 minutes Andre will barely see the floor. Even worse if embid is down and Andre needs to spend a lot of time on the court the sixers are gonna be hurting. Not a fan of signing big men on the other side of 30. Not sure the details but if it's for next to nothing then worth a stab otherwise meh.

CP3 to the Spurs.
I guess that I was wrong with what I've said that wherever the wave is going to bring him, that he'll go there without thinking a lot and it's just for his remaining days in the league. Now, that's some extra vet really needed by the Spurs for Wemby. Edit: Paul George to the Sixers.
That's a max 4-year contract worth $212 million. We're getting more trades for the upcoming days for sure. Edit: Warriors have released Chris Paul. Which team will be willing to pick him up? It's said that when Klay gets into free agency, Lebron quickyl called Klay.

CP3 love to play in a team that he can lead, and this is obviously the best team for him especially with Wemby being a guy who can dominate the paint and CP3 lob's to him would be so easy. Great news for today, hopefully CP3's season will improve with this new team where no superstar (except the young Wemby).

Compared to what with we've seen in the past that when Wemby's free and open and asking for the ball, he's not even given the pass. While Paul George has signed with the Philly. His former teammate on the Clippers, James Harden will sign and go back to the Clippers with a 2-year $70 million contract. A pure point guard addition in their team is really great to have especially we know that Paul is capable to give a lot of passes to Wemby and for sure they could able to release the thru potential of that young man. This is smart move by spurs and this is what they are lacking last season then now they filled that missing slot in their roster so provably I'm also not get surprised if Spurs would able to reach on playoffs on this roster upgrade they made. What do I hope that Paul will not encounter a scary injury since the guy is old and injury prone so that Spurs would became more exciting to watch on each games they played.

CP3 is probably the oldest on the roster, given that the Spurs are composed of young players. Now that they have an experienced and veteran PG, it's really exciting to see how they'll play next season. PG's contract is huge, $212M for 4 years, that's $53 million per year, probably his biggest conract and he is blessed that after the serious injury he suffered he was able to come back and even improve his value.

The Murray move seems a lot like the Hawks are throwing in the towel and rebuilding. I wonder if Trae Young is next… I think we’ll probably see Trae Young traded if you ask me, but I haven’t heard anything official on that front yet. It doesn’t make sense to keep him in a rebuild to me. He’s their next best trading piece. If it will come from Trae and asked to get traded then Hawks might consider that if they're going to rebuild the team. How many times did we see Trae on an NBA all star? none, cmiiw? Maybe by doing such move for his own career, we might see him do better with other team. Good for KCP, perhaps he is following Bruce Brown footsteps wherein he got a good contract after leaving the Nuggets the previous season or the season that they've won the ring.
Yeah, he's rumored to go with the Orlando Magic. Three year for $66M salary and player option at the end of it. Nice and decent deal. This is good for Bam, he's been doing well for the Miami heat so he deserves that.
Yes, and he deserves it. It will be hard to find a big man as agile as him and he is growing. He may not be the best in defense but his offense is surely something to look forward to. The Miami Heat doesn't lack good players, they are just with different injured players and I think Coach Spo should think about maximizing the usage of Duncan Robinson. He played really well when he was given good minutes. They're always maximizing the usage of Bam so that's nice for them. KCP seems to be targeted by the Dallas Mavericks. This will be phenomenal if they can acquire him. He has a higher defensive rate against guards and they badly need that considering how they were lacking in defense and it surfaced in the series against the Boston Celtics. But I bet he will be pricy and the Mavs might let go some of their bench.
He's going to Orlando as per rumors.

Yes, there's not that much expectation during the 1st year of Wemby and now, this is a well planned addition by Coach Popo. I can't wait to see on how they're going to do with their first games since CP3 is going to manage it all and look after all of them inside the court. PG's contract is huge, $212M for 4 years, that's $53 million per year, probably his biggest conract and he is blessed that after the serious injury he suffered he was able to come back and even improve his value. Well, he deserve that. But it's known that all of the amounts that are projected and given to the players are always slashed with huge tax, agent's fee and other commissions that are taken from them. But yes, this is a big one and we can expect him to be with them for the next 4 years.

And that's why social media is going crazy and says that Klay is tricking the Warriors or even the next team that will get him. Sure, during his prime he was legendary and who wouldn't say that he didn't help the Warriors bring that 4 rings. Also, it will be full circle, as his dad has played with the Lakers and it's going to be great to see him as Lakers and retire with them. But we will see what will be his salary. It's obvious that he will sign if the Lakers front office offer him good money.

With his experienced, he can share that to his young teamates and with the guidance of coach Pop I do see improvements for this team, though still not a contender with that current roster but as long as they will work it out with any adjustments and improvements that they need to work out, we might see them competing great this upcoming season. PG's contract is huge, $212M for 4 years, that's $53 million per year, probably his biggest conract and he is blessed that after the serious injury he suffered he was able to come back and even improve his value. Yup! after recovering from that injury, lucky for him that he can still sell his talents and sign a deal like that, but with that huge amount of money, the expectation is really high, hopefully Embiid will find that help that he needs.

Not a rumor anymore. https://x.com/wojespn/status/1807556473595085305 $66m. Ohlala. That's what I said before, the Nuggets would need to give him a better offer if they want him back. KCP showed his value as a defensive player during their championship stint and after that. Orlando Magic now just got stronger and I will probably bet on them in the Outrights for next season. They may have lost in Round 1 of the playoffs this season but they will come back stronger. Banchero is becoming a monster, the Wagner brothers are building chemistry, and others are becoming weapons either on the floor or from the bench. Fultz, Cole, Carter Jr., Harris, and Suggs. Their roster just got deeper now and they will become a problem in the Eastern Conference.

This explains that it's only possible if Klay will accept a lower offer which I don't think would happen since there are other teams that are still willing to pursue him and could offer a better contract, probably not as big as his contract with the Warriors but closer to that.
That's why Klay is out because the salary that he'll receive is way out of his expectation and if there will be teams that will offer him lower salary. I don't think that he'd go there. There could be some negotiations but it's always about the money why most of these players are moving from teams to teams. Some are moving because of their option to move to another place that they truly like but mostly, money. And that is seem to be what about to happen when there are news like this --> https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2024/6/30/24189707/lakers-klay-thompson-lebron-james-nba-free-agency-rumorsThat makes sense if that's where he wants to go when he's tired of the Warriors and being one of the splash brothers. We might see another duo or trio with him going with the Lakers, who knows? maybe that's where he is going but sure thing is that many teams would like to take his wing.

And that's what the Spurs is lacking of, someone that can lead the team and with experience and age too. For sure that most of the players there are going to respect him. Compared to what with we've seen in the past that when Wemby's free and open and asking for the ball, he's not even given the pass.
At least the Spurs won't be pressured since they aren't currently a playoff team. With CP3 leading them and a good coach, the team should improve, as long as there's no problem with their chemistry. CP3 is probably the oldest on the roster, given that the Spurs are composed of young players. Now that they have an experienced and veteran PG, it's really exciting to see how they'll play next season. Yes, there's not that much expectation during the 1st year of Wemby and now, this is a well planned addition by Coach Popo. I can't wait to see on how they're going to do with their first games since CP3 is going to manage it all and look after all of them inside the court. The capability of CP3 of making the team better is not in question now as he is one of the best PG in the NBA. However, although I do not wish but I can't be confident enough that he'll stay healthy in the season. CP3 is already aging and he has been experiencing injuries that's why sometimes he is missing in some important games, hopefully it will not happen with the Spurs especially if they'll be in the playoffs. That's true, I think tax is the major deduction of that contact, however it's still a huge amount and PG had secured his future with another big contract. I know he'll do good in any team that he'll play but honestly, I have a little doubt if the chemistry will work between PG and Embiid.

I don't think that he is tired being one of the splash brothers, they are still very effective as a team, but the problem is that Klay wanted a bigger contract, perhaps a max contract with the Warriors, but they doesn't want to offer him that big, or probably they have requested him to have a pay cut just to keep him in the Warriors uniform. However, it's business and Klay could be thinking that in his last remaining years in the NBA he wanted to get more money for his retirement. And the end of the day, it's nothing personal, just pure business between him and the Warriors and yes, he had his legendary time as a Golden State and even if he left, fans can't deny that he has help them win as a Splash Brothers.
