After the all-star and everybody have settled down, let us go back to business. The Cleveland Cavaliers will wreck havoc with their new line-up and take that number one spot from the Toronto Raptors. The Cavs have now the young guns that can help Lebron James took that championship trophy.
It will not that easy for Lebron and his younger team mates though. Although I like the momentum shift and the East are really shaken by it. Its a whole new ball game and Toronto and specially Irving in Celtics knows how competitive Lebron is. Again, its not going to be easy. One thing that's with them is the experience that Lebron can bring to the Cavs as compare to Toronto or Celts which don't have much experience specially going into the playoffs. Let's see how it goes, gonna be exciting as the second half of the seasons resume. You said it right mate, Toronto and Boston are both knew how furious Cav's can be after getting those young guns, the help really give Lebron enough space to work on it's own way, creating plays and attacking the offense, He also seems to be more aggressive again to aim for the win, East can be win back but the entire league will be so difficult for them as the west side really have a competitive line ups.

NBA is cool!
NBA has always been cool and its the most popular basketball and sports organization worldwide. I like Houston Rockets Houston Rockets is now the leading team on the Western Conference and they are ahead to Golden State Warriors but with only 1 lose. I'm not a fan of GSW but I'm sure that GSW will be back in track and they'll be the #1 again.

And maybe he is so aggressive against either Toronto Raptors or Boston Celtics because they are the main threat now in the East. And with his new set of team mates, Lebron wants to prove something that he is still the 'King' and no one can dethrone him and his Cavs. Not Toronto or Boston.

We can easily predict the champion for this year. That will be the Golden State Warriors. The only thing that can beat them for now are injuries. If one of the BIG 4 goes down (Steph,Klay,Draymond,Durant), I think the other team has a better chance of winning. Once they pass Houston in the playoffs the only question now is who will be their contenders for the 2018 NBA Finals. Probably the Cavs or Boston. Any of the two looks exciting but we all know the results. GSW will win the finals again. Im a Cavs fan btw. So no bias on this post.

Sure it's going to be the cavaliers but I hope it will not have a the same results. Cavaliers are better now because they traded those superstars that didn't perform as expected. At this situation, the warriors will still be heavy favorites that is why it's good to bet on the cavaliers.

I think it is almost impossible for Cleveland to win the Eastern Conference, the Gap is too high to be recovered in 25 games. But if Cleveland is in good shape and will find the right solutions can safely win against Boston and Toronto at the Playoffs.

For me they don't have to push and secure the number 1 spot in the Eastern. The priority should be to get at least in a playoff spot either #2 and #3 and coast in the first and second round easy. And then they can start to set their goals with either the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics. If they put emphasize and try to get the top seed, I'm sure that its going to be hard and come playoffs their body are so tired and not in good shape. They need to sacrifice few things to get in the bigger picture later.

I agree with you bro that Golden State Warriors will win their second consecutive NBA championship trophy. The chemistry that the team had right now is awesome. I agree with what they say that defense wins championship, and Golden State Warriors defense is their offense. They are just overwhelming on the offensive side of the floor that their opponents choked and could not play defense, i may be exaggerating but it is what i see of GSW.

No bias? But you said it will be an easy win for the Golden State Warriors? lol. There is no easy road to finals. Don't underestimate other teams. Golden State Warriors really has a high chance of getting the championship but I will not take it as an easy one. Just because they are perfect like you are describing them means the road for them is not that difficulty. Even a die hard GSW fan will not have a statement like that.

Looks like he's really confident that GSW is going to win the crown for this year. I agree its not gonna be easy, a lot of teams have upgraded and are doing good like Houston. The Rockets is just one team that can compete and give them hard time but I'm sure that it going to be tough. 2015-2016 was a sure win for them of 73-9 record in regular seasons, and up 3-1 in the finals against the Cavs. But they eventually lost. So we cannot say for certain who will win this year.

There's no need to race for the #1 rankings, they can still get into the playoffs if they are qualified. The matches will be tough but if they are lucky and they are playing very well, they deserve the spot to the next level but they can't belittle those board leaders now. Raptors and Celtics are improved now and I'm surprised that the Raptors managed to lead the Eastern Conference.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver recently announced a proposal where the 16 teams would be one single playoffs match regardless of the conferences. Yes, a new playoffs format where 16 teams will be bracketed at each other.
What does this mean?
E.g. Let's say top seed would be Warriors, they will be matched on the team that will take the last playoffs spot. So the format will now be, 1 vs 16 , 2 vs 15, 3 vs 14 and so on...
Unfair or will be fair? My thoughts is, just leave the Playoffs format on what it is today.

I don't like the proposal, the current system is working well and this already brings a lot of fun to us lovers of this game. The East and West should be highlight and they should meet in the Finals so they can bring a lot of fun. Is he also the one who changes the All Star format?

Im not sure who is behind the original idea but after some talks, NBA made it official as NBA players lead by Chris Paul agreed also with the proposal. Talking with the new proposal for playoffs format, lots of East teams will surely can't sealed a playoffs spots as we all know that sometimes, the record for 8th spot on the West can be placed at 4th spot on the East. Let's wait for some feedbacks on the players regarding this. As far as reports is concerned, only LeBron James currently gave a feedback about it.

I am excited for tomorrow's game, I hope there will be surprises like what happen last year. Cavaliers is back in action again, I think I am gonna be laying on them as they are hot as of the moment, -5.5 can be easily covered if they win because they are playing at home and they are better offensively and defensively against the Wizards.

I agree. Just leave with the current format, Winner of East, gets the winner of the West. And I don't think it will pull enough upset, unlike the other format of 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7 wherein the 8 and 7 seed have the possibility to pull something unexpected again a format of 1 vs 16 in which the 16 seed will not have a chance because of he huge disparity against the top seeded. Yes, its really unfair and sort of boring as well to watch. IMHO.

If implemented, weaker teams will forced themselves to acquired and market at least 1 superstar in their roster but for that to happened they must matched the offer of other teams including matching the offer of those big teams unless that player itself will commit to that said team. Majority of top 16 will surely on the West and it's kinda an easy road for the top seed on advancing the second round as they will faced the weaker team and Im sure that will be on the East.

And I doubt those teams at below can provide a huge contract offer for that superstar. Some teams at the bottom of standing is experiencing a detoriation of their ticket sales due to low record. But as you mentioned, if that superstar will commit playing at that team then there will be no problem. And yes, let's say Golden State Warriors or Houston Rockets will be the top seed, they will faced the 8th spot on the East on which way more incompentent than the 8th spot on the East. There is no difficult road at all. But let's see some details about this later on once it will become trending.

Well i won't say it's "fair" since the top four teams would more than likely steamroll over their opponents but the middle matchups would probably more evenly matched. I agree than it wouls probably favor western teams to advance especially if they face a weaker eastern team

I agree than it wouls probably favor western teams to advance especially if they face a weaker eastern team So what is the purpose of having a conference for? Looking at the new format I think it will be easier for people to do the things they like. Teams who aim to be tanking will have an easier way to do it as they are only for the lowest winning record which they could achieve on a Top 16 Playoff format. This format will also be bad for the low seeded teams as they are facing a top seeded team, it will mean a walk in the park for them as the difference will be big as they will be overpowered.
