This may be slightly off topic, but does anyone here think the 100 point record set by Wilt Chamberlain will ever be broken? I thought it was eventually going to happen after I saw Klay Thompson score 39 points in a quarter but it still hasn't happened. In today's era of 3 point shooting I think its only a matter of time.
I believe it will fall sooner than expected. In the next few seasons I hope! However this wouldn't necessarily be good since it would mean that one team would be really better than the competition. Big lack of suspense.

Big lack of suspense. Well there's a lot of basketball experts that say's the Big O's record won't be broken. But Westbrook take it to the next level and now its common to see even unknown players making triple double in a game. What I'm trying to say is that the game has evolved, look at how many 140's 130's games we have. Sooner or later it will be 150-160 so that 100 points set by Wilt is reachable, in my opinion.

I'm with the West in this all star game. The starters in the West are better in shooting and ball handling compare to the East. The East team starters is mostly for defense and the West is for offense. I'm predicting that they can break the previous record of most points combined in an all start game . What do you think?

Very good clash of two good teams today, the Rockets and the Raptors playing at their best. I don't like the Rockets here although they won the game because they seem like very lack of defense in the last minutes of the game, if Leonard made that last winning shot, they have been scolded by their coach, but that is their game so maybe I'll just accept it and say congratulations to them. My +2 won, courtesy of this thread's author https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091185.msg49411482#msg49411482

Lebrons team on all-star is much much better, whoever bets on moneyline with west conference will have a field day of profits. I know this is all star and its important to just have fun for the players and they do not care about these games but if you look at the big difference between the teams even while having fun west is better than east. They have all the great players, curry, Lebron, Durant, harden.
The other side has decent people like Embiid and Giannis and Kawhi but that is not remotely enough for them to be going against the west side. One thing I heard about all-star was that AD was out of the starters which is probably the first time in a while and maybe that could cause him to finally sign with a big market team, preferably with Lakers next summer so he is not missed out and his talents recognized properly.

Good argument about AD. Maybe that will be the final straw for him. lol. And maybe shop for another team that will give him a chance to at least move to conferences finals. He is a talented players and its sad to see someone just be wasted. It will be big if we see him in Lakers uniform next summer.

Fans would love it, Lakers has been struggling now and even if Lebron will be back, they are still not good enough to match the intensity of other good teams in the west. If their mission is to win the championship, they better have AD sign, and this two great players will combine dominating the inside.

I just watched some playoffs back then and seen the 3-point batlle of Kevin Hart and Draymond Green, has anybody here seen that? They both suck on that game but it's SUPER ENTERTAINING, can't help my self from laughing at those two, though I really thought Hart would never get any point for he's just small compared to green, but still he won the shooting game It's kinda unfair for he only got a ribbon for winning. Here's the link for anybody who wants to catch that scene: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXhzUlhLfW4

I saw that, Hart gives real entertainment to the crowd, and I think we can expect him again this All star game. His passion in basketball is big, he can entertain the fans and at the same time he also showed his skills in basketball, this guy is short like below 6 foot but he knows how to shoot. I'm looking forward to a more exciting All Star season this year. Currently on Celtics vs GSW
I love the match, it's in the 4th quarter now and game is close, the Celtics are making a rally and I think they will win this game.

They lost by 4 points cause they tried to get the win instead of the tie when they were down by 2 points. Now the warriors are on a 10 game winning streak and celtics winning home record streak of 10 has ended.

Currently on Celtics vs GSW
Final score: 115-111 GSW Led by Durant's 33 points while Kyrie scored 32 points. The win extends GSW win into 10 while the 5 winning streak of Boston just ended. The match was really close with a lot of lead changes and Boston has a chance to at least tie the score and send the game into OT or even take the lead, but the shots didn't fall in the last 40 seconds or so.

The warriors are back to normal, even on the road, games are very easy for them to win. It was a close game indeed as the celtics tried to win the 4th quarter but they fell short, credit also to the Boston Celtics for giving a good game for the Warriors, they didn't give up easily, if they are a little luckier, they could have win this game. Warriors is very unpredictable now as anybody can score, it's hard to stop them when they're shooting well.

The Celtics has a lot of chance to win the game as I have said, but its not their night though, its a game that will haunt them for sure. As for the Warriors, they have a lot of options right now, one day its gonna be Klay to star, and then the next its Steph Curry's turn and now we see KD leading the team. Very very difficult matchup for anyone at this point.

No bro, it's just another loss and not the one that will haunt them through the season. They are well prepared for any circumstances specially against a powerhouse team like gsw. They will come back strong and even stronger after this loss going into to the playoffs if they qualify.

I think whoever they face this finals (assuming they will do it again) they can easily sweep them, East is not weaker without Lebron. The real excitement is in the west because great players are here,... All start is approaching, I would probably bet on the west as well.

I'm sure you mean All star, and yes that one is very exciting, and it's gonna be the west who are the favorites here. I'm just waiting for the betting line and I'm guessing, they will be favorites for over 10 points, they can dominate the East if they will, but this is a non bearing game, and they only play for fun, so betting on a high spread makes it look very dangerous.
