Sad to see Team Gianis losing the game even though they have been dominating the first half and also tied the record of 53 points in the first quarter.
Steph is not hitting his threes while on the other side Klay and Durant are getting good shots. Steph should have just been a passer since he have been doing good there at looking for open players.
Gianis and Middleton gave a lot of contribution, it is just that Team Lebron have been hot on the second.
Well then, still a congratulations to them.

Team LeBron wins it after an impressive comeback after being down 82-95 at Half time. Final Score Team Lebron 178 - 164 Team Giannis.
I can't believe what happened! Team Giannis dominated the game until the first part of 3rd quarter but the game suddenly changed and for me the key players for that big conversion is Lillard and Thompson, props to them . Actually, I supposed to lose a bet but my friend backed out so I considered myself lucky . At least we're not disappointed as this week seems to be one of the best boring All-Star.
I agree somehow. All Star games nowadays are more boring compare to the previous ones like the times of Kobe, Garnett, Jordan and Carter. Today, it's very obvious that the defense are not so tight, full of catch and shoots, I can feel no pressure on the defense between each other (few arm stretches sre enough). That's why I am not impressed with the high scorings even it reaches 200+ because I'm doubting if it is really a real product of great basketball skills or just the result of open defense.

Though I understand your sentiment but I guess for Curry it's a duty calls for him to try hitting those shots knowing that he's Stephen Curry and he needs to bring something also like what I've said Giannis did his best we all see that but team lebron really fight back and all those three points are pointing to a right directions. See them next season and if same format will be used, Giannis can have his revenge.

WTF is 178 to 164? I understand its a fun night and all but coming from "wade broke kobe's nose on all-star" and "Lebron tried to block kobe but mamba dunked anyway" into the age where the game ends 178 to 164 just simply SUCKS. I grew up watching Indiana and pistons basketball, spurs shutting everyone down, games ending under 100 points all the time, pistons keeping their opponents under 80 points 7+ times in a row.
Now, don't get me wrong I love the game to death and I don't want to change the whole game we play but at least all-star weekend could be a bit better. For the first time in almost a decade I did not stayed up to watch the game and honestly I am not regretting it at all.
The "three point" contest had 7 people in it and they all shot 25 shots in total, that comes down to 150 shots total, the all-star game itself had 169 three points tried, think of a game that has more three points shot than the three point contest itself, I love three pointers but that is tooooo much.

Well you can't really compare all star games to a regular nba game. It's given that players don't play defense and just want to have fun and making highlight after highlight. It's always been like that and most allstar games are high scoring. You wouldn't want your all stars injuring themselves during an exhibition game by playing rough right?

Once again the All-star game didn't excite me. The most entertaining is 3-points/ dunk and skills contests. The game is just a commercial trick to make some millions. Zero defense and you can't see any actual game and adventure between the best players in the world. The fact that made me excited was that I saw Stephen Curry's dunk. The best and the only highlight of the game.
I partially agree, but even though they aren't (players) giving that much of their real game, the essence of the all-star is not only to give the fans the entertainment but also for the players to at least a kind of day-off even for a day or so. Though, I might say (for me) the best highlight of the game is when Dirk closed the 1st quarter sinking a deep 3.

An "All-Star Team Captain" is chosen not based on performance, stats, records, numbers of rings, number of MVPs ,number of All-Star appearance, number of fouls, numbers of rebounds, numbers of steals, number of absence, how much ML of water they had drink, how much is their salary, how high they can jump, average speed of running from court to court, how much the numbers of their haters etc. Did you do your homework prior posting here? Give yourself a break. Even on an All-Star Game with the purpose of entertaining people still you are taking it seriously.
The "three point" contest had 7 people in it and they all shot 25 shots in total, that comes down to 150 shots total, the all-star game itself had 169 three points tried, think of a game that has more three points shot than the three point contest itself, I love three pointers but that is tooooo much.
We can't do anything about that. They have hot hands. We are in an era where battling just below the rim is not that present anymore. So for us who started to become an NBA enthusiast a long time ago, we can really sees the difference.

I dont know if he's a troll or just a plain LeBron hater with mental disorder lol,. His statement is just pure hating, no basis, no general analysis, no nothing. His comment is even considered as sh*t post. Ps. Correction its not Yannis, its Giannis. Now, Its safe to say that this guy only come to this thread to hate on LeBron. He's not even an NBA fan.

Number of votes is the basis for a player to become a team captain. Eastern and Western conference top votes. Lebron James got the most votes in the West while Giannis got the most in the East. ... number of absence, how much ML of water they had drink, how much is their salary, how high they can jump, average speed of running from court to court, how much the numbers of their haters etc.

Just a few nerdy remarks if I may : The three point contest had 10 participants, not 7 with total combined shots in both rounds at 325. 167 3pt were attempted out of 275 total shots, that's 61%. Rockets are currently avg 51% 3s (on their total shot attempts), so maybe think of it as if you are watching Houston. Oh, and one last thing "wade broke kobe's nose on all-star". If my memory serves me correct, that was an accident. Wade was trying to grab Kobe shoulders on a layup attempt and gently caught his nose. Not as if they were playing any defense for 3+ quarters. lol

Players now are shooting well in 3 point, the inside dominance which we used to love during the early days are gone. What we are looking into now are the players who are good in 3 point shooting, Curry, Thompson, and Harden. I was thinking maybe they will still count the 3 point shot as two so they will also work inside.

Oh man, I understand your frustrations, well I grew up watching Detriot's Bad Boy days in the 80's. But you have to understand that the game is evolving as well. Have you noticed that there are no more "true centers" in the league? All 7 footer's love to shoot 3's as well just like a guard. Now, don't get me wrong I love the game to death and I don't want to change the whole game we play but at least all-star weekend could be a bit better. For the first time in almost a decade I did not stayed up to watch the game and honestly I am not regretting it at all.

Again, as I have said, players evolved, games evolved of course even All Star need to adapt's as well. Slam dunks, 3 point's and even the game itself.

Yep I agree, watching that game is like watching a 3 point contest. A few years ago, it was all dunks and no defense, now it's all long range shots (or very long range) and still no defense. Disappointing.

There is still a long way for him to show off... But after he moved to GSW he will be always a shadow... The next big star that it is rising is Antetokounmpo and when the King will retire he will be the best player in the world.

No doubt that Antetokounmpo will be the next king, he is still young and it's expected that he will improved more. His length and athleticism is going to make him dominant going forward to this career as an NBA player. This guy can also carry a team, he does not have all star teammates like the warriors so it's pretty clear that he has the talent. Currently rank as the no. 1 team in the East and I believe he will dominate the East if he will stay.

Disappointing. Lets just accept the fact that the game of NBA basketball has changed so much that they care less in the defensive end and focus more on the offensive power. If we all notice, every game, and every team, win or lose, they all end up in a triple digit score. It's rare to see a team who didn't reach atleast a hundred points. That clearly explains that the players doesnt play hard on defense. IMO, its nice to see a high percentage offense, but its always the best if we see a game with an air tight defense.

There's more to come for this aspiring king but I don't think he'll be labeled as king. There must be a better call or title for him. I don't watch him before but few years ago when there are buzz that caught my attention. I started to like him and without any doubt he has the strength and the likes of becoming a superstar. He's young and look, he has chosen and became a captain recently though it's an exhibition match.
