I have read news that the Celtics players were caught off guard about Ime Udoka's case. Majority of them found the news in twitter like Jayson Tatum and so they are confused.

And then they are talking about how excited they are to come back this new season to do it all over again and duplicate what they have accomplished - go to the finals. But it seems that the players are affected by it and they are taking about the 'process', as they will be coach by Joe Mazzulla.

Well, they have no choice but to accept the reality, no more Udoka this season and probably the succeeding seasons as well, but they have a job to do, it's an unfinish job, they reach the NBA finals, it's time for them to win this time.

There's plenty of time to make the adjustment, the current coach is the assistant, so I'm pretty sure he is very much aware of the system and he just need to implement it, we were impressed by Udoka's performance last season, but he made a big mistake, so he has to face the consequences.

I also believe that assistant coach can work it out since he was there when they play the entire last season, adjustment wise they
don't have a lot unless the new coach has a new approach.

But to my understanding, Brad Stevens will be there for them. He knows how to deal with this and even the new head coach will
takeover. The final decision will still need to work with him.

Boston almost made it, just a step away to win a title, but GSW is really inspired not willing to give it up yet.

I'm also hearing that Jae Crowder is not going to the Phoenix Suns training camp. Is Jae expecting a contract extension? Memphis Grizzlies do need some veterans to help their young core but Jae's gonna get benched a lot there. Maybe the Miami Heat can take him as a replacement for P.J. Tucker? Jae's also had good chemistry with Jimmy Butler, Adebayo, and co so he is a very good fit. Although if Jae's looking for a contract extension then it will be a different story. Another thing to look at is the Phoenix Suns' demand in return.

Yes, Miami Heat is also one of his possible landings if ever this goes south with the Phoenix Suns.
It's a good choice if ever the Suns decided on a buyout. The Heat doesn't have a good bench for defense yet and the addition of a veteran like Jae who is known for his defensive intensity will be a great help.
I am hearing rumors about the Mavericks in the shadows might try to snatch him too.
So it's Grizzlies, Heat, and Mavs. Wow, Jae must be proud to hear teams are waiting for him even if the Suns throw him out.

It's understandable for players to be shocked if they were not told earlier, because that would be a weird way to learn about it. It would be much better if management called the players up and let them know before they learned from the media.

In any case, if they fired (well technically one year ban only but it's firing basically) a coach that reached the finals for the first time in over 10 years, then there must be a real thing going on, otherwise why would they fire him? He was the one that brought so much success to Celtics after years of not being able to win anything, they would not only keep him, but give him a better and longer contract if he didn't do it.

It's not just him though, as said everyone was caught by surprise including their top players like Tatum, Brown and Smart. Maybe they really build a good relationship with him, that's why they were shock to hear what transpired. Perhaps they have witnessed it or aware but not to this extent.

But they have to go and move forward this season without him. And it could have a big impact to them psychologically. Le's admit that Udoka really did a good job for the Celtics and they are very excited to make a run again.

Yes, he has been an assistant coach for the Celtics for about 3 years now. That means he knows the system and the personnel. But is his experience enough to make tough calls in crunch time? Because that is the most important part and that could make or break the Celtics this year.

Fortunately, it is very early in the season so whatever they need to fix, they have the whole season to do it. And, if Mazulla will not change the system, they have less to worry because the players are already comfortable with the current system. And he is the assistant coach, I am sure he also knows the system very well. He just needs the full trust of the players so he can guide them in crucial moments. He have the whole regular season to secure the player's trust, especially the star players.

Local sports anchors were saying they wouldn’t count on him coming back at all. Pretty depressing for Chicago Bulls fans.

I think that's the reason why they signed Goran Dragic. The Bulls' management knew that the procedure taken by Ball was not enough so surgery is the only best solution to take that pain away.

Coby White might be the next guard in the line up. But definitely Goran might take his place because of his experience as a play maker, maybe 20 minutes per game might not be as bad for him. Although he is no longer in his prime, I think he can still distribute and score. We have seen some glimpse of his old self with the Nets last season.

As for Lonzo, it's really a gamble that he has to make so that when he comes back, he won't be bothered by that injury and hopefully he can still play at his prime.

I guess it's Jae's attitude that really attracted those teams and wanted to get his services. During their finals appearance, he was one key player that really help them. And he is a former Miami Heat player if I'm not mistaken, so I guess there is no love lost between him and the Heat that they wanted him back since they need someone that can give him a good points and rebounds and again the intensity in Jae. So definitely, anyone of them are willing to get and snatch him from the Suns.

I was a bit surprised after seeing Danny in Memphis uniform during the media day.
Regardless of his age, he can still drain threes and defend well. I'm happy for him as he landed to a promising young team.

Losing one player in a team especially if that player contributed so much last season is a big loss.

Udoka's absence will be felt that's for sure. Mazzulla's way of coaching them will be different. When they already find a perfect coach for the team then sh*t happened. In the media day, you can see them really confused and kinda sad because of what happened. With this loss, I don't know if they will still be the top picks in winning the title. We don't know how Coach Mazzulla coach a team but let's give him also a chance. Maybe, just maybe he can do well or perhaps better than Coach Udoka.

Giannis Antetokounmpo just called Stephen Curry the best basketball player at the moment. Meanwhile, ESPN's NBArank released its top 100 players for the 2022-2023 season. Here are the top 5;

4. Joel Embiid
5. Stephen Curry

It's pretty interesting and exciting who will be the better players in the coming season. Embiid and Curry might not be able to compete to become top 1 since they are also surrounded by very good players too. And I am glad that Jamal Murray is back to help Jokic and the Nuggets. Luka Doncic and the Mavericks are probably the weakest team out of these top players and their teams.

It's not surprising anymore that Giannis will be at the top of ESPN's list or any sports outlet's listings, the man has improved a lot since he was drafted way back 2013 and still continues to dominate the league. The NBA is becoming much more interesting this coming season because almost each team have grown stronger. Although I cannot agree that Luka Doncic is the weakest out of these top players, in my own ranking, Luka is much better than Jokic.
