Could they snatch maybe one game? They could, OKC could maybe just give up for a game, and that could happen. But likely result would be a sweep in this series if you ask me.
If OKC wants to celebrate at home, then maybe they will give the Lakers a chance to win one game. And since the Lakers have been complaining about the calls from the last game, most likely they could get more favorable treatment in Game 3.

So assuming the Lakers win Game 3, I still think they will lose Game 4 and Game 5.

As usual, like what we witnessed in Game 1, they were competitive in the first half, but the second half was fully dominated by OKC. That is something the Lakers really need to figure out, because if they cannot break that pattern, this series will not last long.

Right, they will have to play 48 minutes with intensity and not just in the first half. Otherwise if they lose the next game at home, then the chances are high that the OKC are going to sweep them. So next game is crucial for them.

Lots of criticism about the calls by the referee in the last game. Basketball fans, not necessarily of Lakers really took to the social media to express their frustrations on how bad the referee in this game. It's not just one, but all 3 referee seems to be biased.

So let's see if the Lakers will be favored or at least be given "equal" call next game as I have said, it's crucial for them and they needed this win.

LeBron got a dose of his own medicine. He loves to flop, and now it is happening against him, with the refs actually calling it.

But honestly, OKC is just really good. They are confident, they have a lot of weapons, and even if the Lakers put heavy pressure on SGA, other players can still step up. Their ball movement is really good, and their outside shooting is still clicking.

Imagine, in just 2 quarters alone, OKC beat them by around 20 if I’m not mistaken. That shows how dangerous they are once they start rolling.

Now for Game 3, Lakers are underdogs at +8.5. The handicap is already risky, but the moneyline? That one is only for those who really dare to take the big risk.

To be honest the officiating is worse, and clearly the officials is favoring OKC with this even with a review they even stay by their own decision and thinks that the viewers and the fans don't even know how basketball is played, yes they are a better team, but imagine playing at a high level and still need help from officials that's not okay, I think if they continue with this kind of officiating people will start to realized they are rigging the game, James fouls were obvious and if fans see's that that its okay were are tolerating the officiating that its okay and still hate the man.

Not defending Lebron, but in the case of the Thunder, everyone is flopping, so it's not like that it's specific to one player. And then the non calls that really irate most basketball fans as if they are not knowledgeable.

Sixers vs New York is very close game, Knicks though is still leading but it's not that big that Sixers has a good chance to catch it up in the 4th quarter.

I'm not sure how they can nominate SGA and let him win MVP when half his points are from flopping. To me that is rewarding bad behavior. The kid is a good ball player and is doing what he thinks he needs to for his team to win, but that shits gotta go.

I'm watching the Knicks game and Philly is fucked. They'll be down 3 games after tonight.

Was that Philly homecourt or was that New York? Cheesy

The Knicks crowd is really loud. They are dominating the 76ers fan out there. As a result, the Knicks won the game with so much support on their side. Now, we all know that no team has come back from a 0-3 lead, so it's just a matter of maybe a sweep or 2 games away before the Knicks claim one of the seats for the Eastern Conference Finals.

Now, let's see what the Timberwolves can do against the young Spurs.
18-6 Spurs lead in the first quarter.

Lets see if phily will able to win even one game in this series they seems to be still tire in 7 game series, they are looking like a lakers team that battles in the first 3 quarters then disappear in the 4th , PG unable to score in the second half of the game is weird, Embiid still hurt and tired.
If they can't make a win in this series Philly will boed them for sure this time, but hey they beat the celtics, maybe another year? or its over for embiid, he needs to heal 100% or are they going to trade him now and part ways always with PG, he still has it but disappears in the 2nd half is too much he is needed because embiid is not 100% but still unable to produce.

Spurs manage to beat them with a very close fight. Wolves manage to answer back and put a good run until the end. Spurs just manage to barely beat them due to Wemby overall presence especially those crucial 3 points shot to extend the lead since he already on a foul trouble.

Honestly, Most of the officials call are in favor with Wolves even though they are the one who insert a lot of physicality on their defense.

Wolves is very hard to beat at home court.

Haven't watch the whole game, and correct me with this one, but I think this has been doing by the Knicks in even in the past where they'll collect Knicks fans to go to their opponent's home, and buy the tickets for them just to have support. Well, it worked with them as it boosted their morale I guess. Cheesy

Anyway, the Sixers did the impossible where they overcame a 3-1 deficit, and it's their first time in franchise history to do it. Now they'll be doing something that no team has done - overcoming a 0-3 deficit. A hard path for the Sixers, and while historically speaking, we can say that the Knicks already won this series, as long as they haven't reached 4 wins, there's still a chance. Smiley

I picked the Knicks to win it all in the East after the Celtics lost in the first round so... this win for them is already a good one. My prediction might be right. Cheesy
---
---
Wolves is very hard to beat at home court.
The Wolves might be hard to beat at their home, but the Spurs just done it and won Game 3 115-108.

They had a hard time stopping Wembanyama and he just dominated the game. He scored 39 points with 15 rebounds and 5 blocks, and with that stats, he's only the 4th player in playoffs history that has that kind of stats. The other 3 were Shaq, Kareem and Hakeem. Looks like the Wolves need to find a way to stop this alien or else, they might lose in 5 games. Cheesy

I was surprised San Antonio lost the first game, but I knew they would regain home-court advantage. They beat Minnesota 108-115 on the road in Game 3 to take a 1-2 lead in the series. Game 4 will be played at Minnesota's home arena, and San Antonio will win that game to take a 1-3 lead, then complete the series 4-1 with a home game.

If San Antonio wins the championship this year, Wemby will be named MVP.

It's better that they taste their first defeat in this series in game 1. Just look at how they adjusted. Specially the physically of the game. In game 1, Wemby is somewhat doesn't want to get bang. But in game 2, the Spurs was a different animal.

So in this game 3, Wemby is big, hitting that 3s to make a good separation. Although the Wolves has so many chance to get closer but they keep on missing their outside shot. It's 2-1 now, and it's really hard to contained the Alien with 39/15/5 stat line.

Unfortunately, Sixers lost another game so they are down right now and very hard to get over a 0-3. Embiid played but he was posterized by Mitchell. And then PG as you have said, good first half, but he didn't score in the second half.

Oubre shows, but it was not enough as the big 3 or big 4 of Sixers was shutdown by the Knicks in the second half. So maybe the Knicks are going to give them some slack in the next game and then they finished it out at MSQ wherein there are a lot of Hollywood fans watching the game.

It didn't matter for Spurs though as for losing Game 1.  Tongue  They still showed a really good effort for that comeback in the series. At least they aren't like Nuggets so far. They are able to react better against Timberwolves...

Wemby would be the MVP if Spurs manage to become the champion. However eliminating Thunder - I consider them finalists already - would be really hard for them. Those consecutive wins in regular season could be misleading for playoffs.

It matters because they should be up 3-0 already. So the series might have to be extended by at least a game. And every game counts specially if Thunder will go sweep the Lakers, they have extra days to rest and prepared.

Regular MVP, I don't know, but it could be SGA again. But if we talk about the finals and Wemby leads them then he could be the finals MVP. But still a long playoff series, what's important is that fans get to watch this series and ANT and the Wolves trying to solve the anomaly of going against the Alien.

Unexpected situation happens and Wolves manage to heat up and take the game 1, but game 2 and 3 shows which team really have great advantage and have higher chance to advance on next round.

So I guess its safe to assume that Spurs will be the one will win in this series. But next round is so though for them knowing that they can possibly face OKC if they manage to sweep Lakers.

No doubt that Wemby will became the MVP this season, but they need to win against OKC before this scenario will going to happen.

It will be a great matchup if SAS and OKC will face in the WCF because they have the same tough defense and lethal offense but in terms of offense I will go for SAS because they have higher accuracy 3 point shot.

OKC main weapon is their tough defense which I’m interested to see how they will lockdown Wemby because Chet is surely not enough to guard him.

It’s a battle of top pick rookie if this matchup happened.

Wait, let us not celebrate too early. The series is not over yet, so maybe let’s talk about this again once the Spurs win the next game.
If Wolves are able to even the series, then we might see a different matchup in the WCF. The momentum can change fast in a series, especially if the other team starts making adjustments.
But for OKC, it is quite obvious that the Lakers will likely lose. They have been dominated in the last 2 games, and unless they find a real answer soon, this series might not last that long.

Judging their recent game, I think you have a fair point here because Wolves still manage to answer Spurs even if they are on very good run. But if choosing between Wolves and Spurs to be OKC opponent on the finals I will preferred Spurs since they have the history of beating OKC back to back on regular season while Wolves was beaten by OKC before with same core players.

OKC main weapon is their tough defense which I’m interested to see how they will lockdown Wemby because Chet is surely not enough to guard him.

Same here, but I doubt the odds will be high even if Spurs is the underdog. It think the odds will be close to even.

Same here, but I doubt the odds will be high even if Spurs is the underdog. It think the odds will be close to even.

I just wish the odds will stay high, because that means those who bet on the Spurs will get a better return if they somehow win the series.

What I think is, if the Spurs can beat OKC, then they will likely win the NBA championship. Because as we can all see, Wemby is just unstoppable. He was in foul trouble in Game 3, but he still managed to survive and even hit big shots in the 4th quarter.

How can you stop a very tall guy who is also very consistent with his outside shooting?
He had 39 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks. That is already MVP-type numbers, and it was even more impressive because of his high shooting percentage, 13 out of 18 from the field.
