I have also just seen the hard to believe trade by Boston Celtics. I just don't get it. Why would they be okay to trade Jaylen Brown for a finished Paul George? Brad Stevens must have lost his mind. He couldn't even play for a half season the last time. In the previous season the number of games he played was even less. If you are ready to give up on a player like Brown then you should go for a much better and healthier shooter. There must be a reason behind it. It is probably because Brown is no longer happy with the Celtics, as I heard they wanted to trade him for Giannis but that trade failed. So maybe there is no more good relationship with him, and that resulted in them trading him for PG. The Sixers won that trade, but we cannot assume it is a bad trade for Boston unless we see the result. PG is great. Maybe he was just not fit with the Sixers’ system. With his height and ability to shoot anywhere, I’m hoping Boston will be able to develop him more and we will see the old PG again, or maybe even a better PG. Boston system fits PG as he also have that good long range shots, with Boston playing good ball rotations and not forcing anything having PG might work with them, though like you said, we won't be able to conclude without witnessing how Boston will use him, and with that trade for Brown it's a win for Sixers if they also manage to fits brown with their system, with Maxey have that similarities in terms of working with the ball it's going to be interesting if if what adjustments both key players will do to blend their chemistries during the game.

PG can’t be fully utilized without him exposing risk to injury. His outside shot is indeed good but not that impressive compared to other players that mainly do 3s. Boston is expecting PG to replace Brown while his gameplay is same with PG on his prime. This is a total down grade considering how glass cannon PG now. The only thing that trade will work is picking a good draft on 2028 onwards.

LOL, PG didn't fit into the system of the Clippers, or even thrived in the Sixers uniform although he has a small stint there. So how can he fit into the system of the Celtics wherein it is design for Tatum and Brown? I even read that they want Pritchard to be the Jalen Bronson of the Celtics, so I don't know if PG will love to hear that. And so he is injury prone as well and I think he is slowly deteriorating already and not his prime. So it's really a big downfall for them to trade Jaylen Brown, losing future picks too. And then the Sixers could have change the complexion of the East with the acquisition of JB.

Maybe Brown wasn't happy at Celtics anymore and he might have wanted his trade, I'm not sure. But still bringing Paul George doesn't make sense to me either. I feel like they'll really regret it! Kyle Lowry is signing a one day contract with the Toronto Raptors so he can retire in their jersey. He had a great career and got a ring with Kawhi. Not bad.
Kawhi is really back to his old team with whom he won one of his NBA championships... We might see some good things from Raptors during regular season next time. However I'm not sure of playoffs performances. I don't think Kawhi will get another ring if he stays there until the end of his career.

Shams reported that Jaylen Brown didn't demand any trade even if his name was floating around about a potential Giannis trade. That's why it could have hurt him after the news of the trade specially going to their arch-rival last season in Sixers. But this is NBA, there is no such thing as loyalty and everyone is going to be traded. Only few names have pop up that played in one team in their entire season, like Dirk, Kobe and MJ.

Haha The first round pick and a couple of low number draft pick is what I considered on this trade as valuable since PG will surely spend the rest of his play time either on bench or injury. Boston has a lot of young talent so I doubt he will get a lot of playing time. Seriously, this trade is worst or 2nd to Luka-Davis trade.

Can Rockets finally have a decent line up this year with a proper guard and shooter? Seems like their GM is finally doing something good. If everyone can stay healthy, Rockets are a serious contender. Also if Şengun can play good. Is it too many 'if's? Seems that way. But the general idea for the team is quite good in my opinion. Fred VanVleet, KD, Sengun with side power like Bodganovic and Marcus Smart, and the guys like Amen, Reed, Jabari, Steve Adams, Tari. If everything works out their way, they seem great on the paper.

I remember the betrayal done by Celtics to Isiah Thomas, he carried out the team on finals but still they trade him in exchange on Kyrie. Same goes with Perkins, Al Jefferson and Avery Bradley which they say that they are loyal with Celtics but sadly got move unexpectedly by the management. This mean that Celtics does not value loyalty and up for business.

But jb still have enough gas on tank maybe its because of the salary that is why they move him, but pg is less vakuable maybe the picks are they after because as we know the sixers have good picks that are always go to waste maybe they will look for good players in the draft but still jb is a championship player.

And if I recall the Thomas trade, they didn't do a full disclosure on his injuries and they blindly tell IT that time that he is still good. And most likely they already know that he is already a damage good that's why they traded him. For sure, they could be just one NBA team that doesn't value loyalty, so most likely Tatum and others should also be careful as if their worth is not there, specially that Tatum has a season ending injury although he as able to go back and play. But one injury could be worst for him as he might be in the trading block in the future.

Lebron is not getting traded, he ran his contract out, so he is not contracted with anyone, he is a free agent. So nobody has to do a sing and trade, they could just sign him.
And I know he is not the type of guy that will leave money on the table, so he will try to find a max contract somewhere, which would be great but if he accepts that eh already has billions, and do not need max contract, and if he just wans to win one more title before he retires, then he could definitely go with veteran minimum and play for a team that may win it.

LeBron does not need to earn more because he already made a lot of money in the NBA. What he should focus on now is to continue playing and try to win another championship, because individually, he already broke a lot of records. So for him to stay in the GOAT conversation, all he needs now is to chase championships, but with the Lakers, I doubt he will get another one.

I don't understand what the Boston Celtics did. PG13 for Jaylen Brown. It was said that it was an upgrade defensively. Well, they just lost a big offensive power.
I am not against it, but I am expecting something big. Giannis was actually a good trade, not just because of stats, skills, and age, but also because of the contract. Still, I think the Celtics do have a plan, and maybe they are years away from thinking about getting JB out. That could be a good reason, as JB has a huge contract and maybe they are not contented with his performance, so it is better to trade him while his value is still high and just build around Jayson Tatum. PG could also be a great complement for Tatum because they are both tall and good rebounders as well. Let’s just hope that Tatum will be fully healthy and will not get injured, so the Celtics will still become a threat and a championship team. Because if he gets injured again, the Celtics will surely regret their decision as they could easily miss the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers are done with the Ayton era. They are trading Deandre Ayton to the Washington Wizards for Jaden Hardy and two Wizards second-round picks. I think Ayton got a little bit of a bad deal in Los Angeles, but what else is new. They have moved on to other pastures.

If you think about it, he is eating a lot of cap space, which could've been used for 2 or 3 players that will support Tatum.
Most people are sharing the same thoughts on this meaningless trade. I heard about Brown's not being happy in his last times at Celtics. But the team was in a rush to trade him that they got Paul George in his worst times... Giannis is definitely a good trade for Heat! Now there might even be a chance for LeBron also to go there. But I'm just afraid of the probability that the team could be more selfish that way. I hope they prove me wrong by building a roster to play nicely as a team.

After they signed Kessler the writing was on the wall for Ayton. Also, he thinks he is a star player, what actually is pretty ridiculous. Just checked his contract and he is actually getting paid less than I though, just over 16 mil for 2 seasons. Good for them they have this money off the books but Jaden Hardy's contract is fairly similar since he earns 6mil/year. Hardy has solid shooting stats so they can definitely use him after losing some guys this offseason. I wonder what happens with Hachimura. First he was rumored to go to the Spurs, then the Warriors and now I read the lakers might even try to bring him back. For this to happen they still have to make some space money wise I think.

He was really good with the Suns before, as they have reach the finals. But he played weak against Giannis and that's why the Suns didn't max his contract as a rookie and it looks like he is going to be a journeyman. I wonder what happens with Hachimura. First he was rumored to go to the Spurs, then the Warriors and now I read the lakers might even try to bring him back. For this to happen they still have to make some space money wise I think.
I was also under the impression that he might be traded too as they have broken their core already. But perhaps they want to make another run with him as their starter as he is a good player with them. It might not be enough for the Lakers though to have this new lineup and contend or have a deep playoff run.

It really doesn't make sense because next season they'll be earning nearly identical salaries, yet Brown has better stats than PG13 and isn't as injury prone either. He has already proven himself by keeping the Celtics in the No. 2 spot even without Tatum. Maybe the Celtics didn't have a great playoff run, but they still had a solid season. Some people even thought the Celtics would fall behind without Tatum, but they still managed to finish as the No. 2 seed. Who do you guys think won this trade? I believe the Sixers will have a better standing next season.
