There are die hard fans of LeBron would say that he is and that's okay, everyone is entitled for their own opinion and what they think about it. The thing abou these idols is that they're not going to know us that we support them.  Cheesy

From the words “die-hard,” it already means they are not really looking at other rivals because they are only focused on him. So for them, LeBron will always be the best player.

Being a fan can already make our judgment biased, and there is nothing wrong with that. After all, LeBron is still active, and there is still more he can achieve both individually and as part of a team.

That is why the team he might join is very important. It will determine whether he still has a realistic chance of winning another championship. If he lands on a team that is not capable of competing for a title, then we can probably forget about him winning another ring.

I personally could care less where Lebron ends up going. I think his time is over and he should retire, go enjoy the billion dollars he has made over his career. Guy has done enough to be remembered well after he is gone, our kids kids will likely be talking about Lebron James well into their golden years. He has made that much of an impact on the game regardless of anyone's personal opinions of him.

You’re not a die-hard fan?  Grin

If we are not die-hard fans, we usually judge LeBron based on his real value to the team and his actual performance. But if we are die-hard fans, we notice all of his contributions, so we remain optimistic that he can still help turn a team into a championship contender. That is also why many fans want LeBron to land on a team they already support.

For me, the Cavaliers would be the best choice. They struggled in the last playoffs and lost to the Pistons. If LeBron had been there, maybe his experience could have helped them beat that young Pistons team. But of course, that is only a possibility. We still have to see what would really happen.

There was a press conference on Miami Heat side and they said something like they landed the plane and there is another one they have to land. Could it be LeBron you think? Grin

Warriors, Heat and Cavaliers are the most rumoured teams regarding his next possible team. The odds for his next team are changing very often these days. It is so hard to make a guess.

Warriors are incredibly old and can't find any success in the Western Conference. Lebron's goal is probably to return to the East.
if i were him, i'd go to either the 76ers or Miami. it would be the most logical and beautiful way for him to wrap up his career as a point guard.
then again, Lebron at 42 isn't going to listen to anyone anyway  Grin. Let's see.

Victor Oladipo seen crying in front of scouts after his practice, he still wants to get back to the NBA. But I think that Pacers have given him the best contract but he declined it. Although he's got a good run with the Miami Heat as well. These players will be serving as a lesson to the new talents in the NBA. Yeah, they might be in their peak and potential but if they're the ones declining the contract. Soon, they'll be the next Dennis Schroder although that guy was still fortunate that he's on his 8th team and still gets some contract.
Sometimes, greed is what ruins them. But I cannot say the fault is only on the players, it's also the agents and managers of them. They are so focused on making more money, and they forget the financial security of their players.
The same with the case of Schroder, we cannot only blame him for what happened to that contract with the Lakers. These stars have people that manages their contracts and are looking for better offers. They take advantage of the time when the spotlight is on their players, but forget that it's already enough for them to live with luxury.

Thankfully, Schroder did great in FIBA, and that's why he got back again. Perhaps Victor needs to prove himself again.

Funny that Adam Silver is starting to put the pressure on LeBron to make a decision. He said that they’re waiting to set the schedule until he has announced his decision so that they can make sure the opening day and Christmas games include him. Apparently sponsors are also putting some pressure to get their advertisements set.

I'm not sure what the issue here, but maybe someone here can shed as what the NBA is probing this? Maybe there is more on the contract itself? Or something fishy with the contract? I mean it looks like just a mid-level to me.

I am a Jordan guy, never really cared for Lebron and the flop. I think it's bad for the game and we see other players adding it to their arsenal. SGA and Jalen Brunson are 2 names that come to mind. I'm not against Lebron and all the things he has done that are positive for the NBA, just not a fan. Kinda reminds me of Aaron Rodgers taking til last minute to make a decision.

Lebron wouldn't care a bit about that in my opinion. Cheesy
This just shows that Lebron still plays a big role in the league as a whole even though he's already 41 years old. I wonder what would happen if he will retire possibly next year.

I can't understand why Adam Silver needs to put pressure to somebody who's already a free agent. I mean did we see other player who gets pressured to make a decision? He's a free agent so he has all the time to do whatever he wants to do. Heck, he might surprise all of us and decide to just retire. Cheesy Imagine what will be the NBA Fans, analysts and even Silver will feel if that happens. Let's give the legend some time, and let the speculators speculate all the time. Cheesy

I’m dropping the source here https://www.si.com/nba/why-nba-launched-investigation-bucks-strange-gary-trent-jr-contract-similar-past-cases so that user reading this will have an idea what this issue all about.

Trent current contract made a huge jump after his previous year salary. His previous salary was 2 to 3M$ per season while now it’s 16M$ for 4 years contract after trading Giannis that gives more room for salary cap.

This issue is same with Kawhi Leonard related to circumventing salary cap. They are speculating if there’s a handshake deal that he took low salary on previous year just to be on the salary cap range then this current salary is an adjustment for the low salary on previous year.

Ok I did see a video of Lebron and Haliburton on a sit out, not sure what kind of event it was, so most likely this is where the source of Haliburton trying to troll everyone. And there were fans asking Lebron where he is going, but he didn't answer directly. He even joke as one fans shout that he will play with the Mets, LOL.

But in any case, everyone is waiting and it's good that the NBA commissioner is somewhat putting pressure on Lebron James and announce where he is moving. Also video of Pat Riley taking about it, he says that he did talk to Lebron about a week or two weeks ago but nothing has taken into consideration.

It says that the NBA is investigating the Gary Trent Jr. with the Milwaukee Bucks. It's worth $64 million in 4 years.

I'm not sure what the issue here, but maybe someone here can shed as what the NBA is probing this? Maybe there is more on the contract itself? Or something fishy with the contract? I mean it looks like just a mid-level to me.

For sure there are other deals like this in the NBA but were not check, and Leonard issue will surely not an issue and he will be able to play in the start of the season, unless the league continue to push the case.
until now LeBron is yet to announce where he is going to play, the league is waiting and also the fans, LeBron really know how to make the people talk about this decision, at 41 years of age, the league and fans are on the watch on his decision,  just like what durant said cleveland is one of the choice but sixers is something that lebron is considering.

Yes, nothing wrong with that and that's due to how they see LeBron and impacted their lives and the same goes for the other players who have been an idol in the past. Actually, there are so many of them. While waiting where LeBron is going to land his next team, I've seen that there was a presscon for Giannis with his new team which is the Miami Heat. For sure, there’s a lot of circumventing case on salary cap especially on team that has a star player with huge salary. It’s needed in able to still give him a good supporting player.

Regarding Lebron future, There’s still plenty of time for him to decide especially if he will choose a for good team suitable for his retirement.

It’s definitely Cavs.

LeBron was not really known as a flopper when he started, but eventually he learned how to use it as part of his strategy. I understand why he does it, but I still hate seeing him flop because of how big and strong he is. Sometimes it just looks unbelievable.

Kobe, for me, really showed his passion for the sport. He was never known for relying on flopping. It was always about hard work, toughness, and carrying the team to a championship. Kobe always wanted to take control of the game, especially in big moments, and that is one of the reasons why I respect him so much.

Lets hope Giannis will be happy even with games are not won, this sometimes is the problem with Giannis, if they have losing streak they sometimes get irritated with the loss, but lets hope that will not the case, lebron james decision is taking long but they said its going to be announce later, might be this week and the team that he is going to chose.
The fans are getting exciting while haters are mad because even though he is 41 years old he still gets the attention of the league and the fans too bad, what they always do is hate and not be amazed by the players achieved.

Considering how useless Harden is at Cavaliers now I would love to see LeBron back there.  Grin  I don't mean LeBron would play like in his prime but I believe he can make up for Harden's bad performances.

I don't think Heat will get LeBron too after bringing Giannis already. Warriors is another big rumour and I think it would also make sense if they are going to part ways with Jimmy Butler.

You think he is really useless? Have you seen the playoffs?

When Mitchell was struggling, James Harden was there to step up and carry the load. Maybe Harden is not the same player anymore, but he is still dangerous and can still be reliable in clutch situations.

Of course, if trading him is what it takes to get LeBron, then I would not be against it.

Same here, I don’t consider him as useless but we should admit that both him and Mitchell are a choker player especially on playoffs that why they always struggle on playoffs regardless of the team they are playing.

They are like glass cannon players that is dangerous when their hot but literally useless when cold unlike other reliable star that steady on their game even without explosive game.

I preferred Lebron over those 2 when it comes to playoff reliability.

I preferred Lebron over those 2 when it comes to playoff reliability.

Of course, they are nowhere near the same level.

LeBron may not be as clutch as Kobe or MJ, but he can still be consistent throughout the game. Even when he struggles on offense, he can still contribute in other areas like rebounding, playmaking, and defense. Unlike James Harden, and probably Mitchell as well, LeBron is not usually a liability on defense. There are many players who are great offensively but weak defensively, while LeBron has always been more well-balanced.

But just to be clear, I still do not consider him the GOAT. That is only my opinion.

He seems so happy that he went to his locker as well and said he'll get used to it. And his new jersey number is going to be number 7.
That's normal for him to be upset when he losses but IIRC, he's said that athletes have winning times and as well as losing times. And it's okay for him to get irritated because that kind of reaction is pretty usual for a player who's got a winning mentality. They get upset when they lose but, that doesn't mean that they'll stay to that loss. They're going to do better and knowing Giannis, that's what he does and just become the better version of himself when they had a bad run. As for LeBron, his transfer can take time and trades are still possible even if he gets to his new team.
