I personally use the Bitcoin core client as my pc wallet. It's the best if you ask me. As far as the mobile platform goes, I use the blockchain.info wallet. It does everything I want it to do.

The most used type of BTC wallet is Blockchain Web wallet  Wink It's free, easy and you can sign in from any computer  Grin

And using 2FA adds another layer of security.

Under construction.

I use Web wallets. I know many people think that it is insane to use them, but I think since you can't be 100% safe using any wallet, why not use a convenient one then.

Coinkite is my favorite. If I'm making a terrible mistake please tell me.

Why not use an offline SPV based wallet, instead of a web based one. You should, at the very least, have a paper wallet back-up of your private keys.

Whoever told you this buddy has lied to you a lot. Blockchain.info is the worst wallet you can use out there. You shouldn't be using online wallets in the first place and especially not blockchain.info! Even Bitcoin.org has taken it down from their list of official wallets since they had many, many reliability problems lately!

Download Multibit or Electrum and have a real control over your money and don't let others save your bitcoins.
