it's your game, but what you propose would make it way too complicated, in my opinion.
I agree with the more complicated part - not with "your game" - I think it's everyone's game . That's why I'm asking for ideas, maybe someone can come up with something interesting here. i meant that you were the one paying so far, but I get your point re "everyone's". maybe it is time for participants to pitch in 0.01 or 0.005 (or a buck or two) or limit the final to $30 in btc, for example. it might deter some, though i think we need to structure it a bit different i have a few ideas. i will write them up after we close this set of picks. At this point everyone just jumps at the very start... I almost think you could do football squares instead and have a great turnout. So that it becomes fair for everyone, and it wouldn't mean 10 participants in 10 minutes

The good thing is our overall hashrate is pretty big so it's getting harder and harder to do a huge percent jump. I've only played the "Game" a couple of times and cannot see much wrong with it as it stands. We were asleep in the UK when picks opened this time but I knew that was going to be the case, could have stayed up but chose not to. For me all part of the game and I think it would be a great pity to remove choice, and let's remember that even with first pick this is already a game of chance. So yes more slots would be fine, so long as they get filled. How about a combination of smaller slots and opening picks earlier so that early voters have less information but first choice. Today I knew was going to be a slow day. I kept waiting and waiting for confirmations. There were multiple times of the day where it took 2 hours to find 6 blocks according to Blockchain.

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function. Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

First opening. I have to get here sooner Ha-ha this thread has grown a lot more popular, its also due to the increase in Bitcoin prices. The correlation between the amount of interest people have in mining is similar to the number of people who make picks in the thread at any point in time All the likely targets were taken so I'll strategize this round and use time advantage in case some serious hash appears before the picks close. Aka an above 10% prediction. Or just let it close naturally

That is a simple fix should work. We combine your idea say .10% ranges and shift from blocks 300-1000 to 600-1200 should slow the rush a bit and leave room for picks
