I have been told that my coin is doomed. Considering that 90% of all new coins fail, this is possible. However, I would like your opinion, which is more likely to fail?

well the problem is that after 2 months only less of 50% of the new altcoins survives so is possible that they told so based on that... if you can link your coin thread maybe i can see if they are telling it because it may die for real or are just making some speculation about your coin

Considering that 90% of all new coins fail ... which is more likely to fail?

If you're rounding to the nearest integer, it'd be more accurate to use 100%.

The up side of rounding to the nearest int is that it makes it trivial to answer the 2nd question: both are 100% likely to fail.

The devil is, as ever, in the detail.

Totally agree: sucess depends upon presentation,
hard work, marketing and community acceptance (demand)
I think the idea of burn to reduce inflated #'s coins and combat inflation
is good but, everyone wants the other guy to give up coins
to increase the value of theirs. Dead coins are well - dead.

A Revival of a dead coin means an active developer working on the coins,
creating a buzz, a purpose , and communication.

Both of these coins have flawed designs including but not limited to the process (and timing) of selecting coins to be burned. Some people will have advance knowledge of some coins likely to be selected and can easily exploit that advantage.

There should be a clear and important purpose of each coin in addition to the goal of burning other coins. Most altcoins are destined to fail. There is nothing here to suggest an exception.
