When an exchange goes down (BTC-E) the system automatically halts trading for security reasons.

We would have to remove this exchange from our system. In the unlikely event of all exchanges shutting down our BTCUSD CFD gets removed.

The interest we pay / receive when trading BTC/USD, is that based on the rate the moment we opened the position, or does it vary also for already open positions?

A DDoS attack causes some problems right now. We are working on it.

All Bitcoins are safe. Losses occurred during the outage can be refunded if you contact our support.

Update: Everything is up and running again.

Thanks for your suggestions Bitcoin Megastore.

Alt-coins
Once an alt-coin gains enough traction it could be implemented. Currently only Litecoin is a potential candidate, but don't expect this in the near future.

Google Authenticator
We are not against Google Authenticator and you can expect this feature in the future. But before we start with this we want to make some security-related changes first.

Close position button in the sidebar
Definitely coming soon along with other improvements.

Also please rewrite description for Limit Order.
Will be done with the next update.

Username is not case-sensitive
This is intentional because we think john and John shouldn't be two different accounts.

All your trades are belong to 1trader
I can't follow you.

hi ,

probably a stupid question.. but  how works this..   are there real btc traded?    how much can i trade there..    I didnt make an acount yet but i dont see volumes or something or an orderbook..

so in case i  go long on a 500btc ..   with 5x leverage..     in case i make a big chunk of profit .. where does the btc or usd come from to pay me the profit?..

as i said.. it might be stupid questions..    i'm not realy familiar with cfd trading..

Whatever. And no you haven’t been in bitcoin since 2010. Plus if you really feel the way you do. Then sell. Have conviction. If not keep pounding sand.

hi ,

No this is not a stupid question. You can see CFDs as a bet if the price of X goes up/down which means that CFDs are a form of derivatives. We act as a market maker and take the risk for this bet. Internally this means that we have to do proper risk management which includes hedging, keeping enough reserves and limiting position sizes. The current limit for the BTCUSD contract is 100 BTC.

Wikipedia gives more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_for_difference

The fact that one enters or exits the market not at the current price but the next one is pure bullshit. Add to that the fact users can't tell if
prices shown are correct and if timing for price update is correct. There is just too much room for you to manipulate outcome in your favour.
There is no reason to risk our reputation by manipulating such things, but you are right, we should avoid re-quotes. We are currently working on a re-quote free trading interface which should get ready in some weeks.

The spread on BTC/USD was reduced from 0.8 to 0.5 points.

It's probably a good occasion to thank all people for using 1Broker. When I started this project I never dreamed of handling such volumes. It's a great pleasure to lead this project.

Cheers!

what would be realy awesome..

to put our own stop loss

example

go long with 10 btc..  entry price 85
we put our stoploss at 83

price goes up to 90

we move our stop loss at 88

this way we can sleep Smiley

edit: what is the "hidden" stoploss now? when all our deposit is used?
another question:

the 100btc limit is for each position
or is total amount to play with  for an acount.?

another question:
BTC/USD market.. does it close in the weekend? (would be a bit wierd since things happen in weekend too..)

Whatever. And no you haven’t been in bitcoin since 2010. Plus if you really feel the way you do. Then sell. Have conviction. If not keep pounding sand.

This is coming in a few days. I promise!

another question:
When most of your margin is lost.

the 100btc limit is for each position
or is total amount to play with  for an acount.?
100 BTC limit is only for the BTCUSD market. Limits are always per market.

another question:
BTC/USD market.. does it close in the weekend? (would be a bit wierd since things happen in weekend too..)
No it stays open of course.

Every new active trader is step forward. Currently it looks like we can raise the limit soon.

We evaluated several options and talked to various lawyers. The whole process takes much longer than initially thought. Personally I expect results this summer.

two more questions:

1) When I click on "short", the "stop-buy" option is actually a stop-sell isn't it?

2) Let me ask this one with an example:
I am short with 30BTC
current price is 100
I click on buy and set a stop-buy at 102 (30 BTC)
now price passes 102
will this a) open a new position?
or b) close the short?
