Electricity and Internet is free in my Dorm

Hi everyone! I know this is a dumb question

What do you think, can I bring my miner in my Dorm? I want to take advantage for what I pay. The owner saids that I can bring whatever I can bring.

Im the only one in the room, The Room is kinda empty even I got my desktop PC. Ventilation is ok since I got this ventilation hose.

Or, I will just leave it on my house?

Btw, Can I make my miner run quitely?

I am not sure what miner you have but you can try replacing the fan with an ultra quiet fan if it is too loud.

I will just bring 1 Antminer S3+ in my Dorm yep, its kinda loud tho.

I agree with the investigation part. But personally I would still bring it and use it for some time. Maybe it goes by unnoticed... And if the people doing the building maintenance aren't really tech-savvy, I guess you could sell it off as an UPS or something

I think this is a great idea as long as you can get past your network firewalls provided by the dorm.  If you are able to do this, I would get two or three miners and have them set up.  Just make sure you use a good cooling fan to keep it all cool.  Good luck.
