Hi, I am getting a small computer ready for handling a few ASIC devices (just a few BFL Single SCs and a bASIC). I am wondering if they will use USB 3.0 or 2.0 for communication. Does anyone know? I am wondering about just building something that supports USB 3.0 anyway just in case but I was curious if anyone knew for sure.

All contributions gratefully received 1G6Wia22Jnpz2DUisA5EoAC6KJ7MHm6QyP

Trust me, these default swaps will limit the risks

I think only usb 2.0 will be required.

That would probably be a future upgrade. USB higher wattage or something like that...

USB3 can offer higher wattage in comparison to USB2 IIRC....

I would expect that they would use USB2.0, as it is far more standard and common, there is no need for the high throughput of USB3.0 for ASICs, and only the Jalapeños will we possible to power from the USB ports alone (and you can do that with 2 2.0 ports).
