I don't think Satoshi Nakamoto care about this Nobel Prize, it's just a crap for him even he won that novelty prize.

Everyone know about satoshi nakamoto. The founder of bitcoins. It's still not found out whether he was a person or a group of persons. But, their discovery was ultimate. They invented and discovered what is called the world's best cashless currency. The world has understood this and they have been nominated for the Nobel prize of 2016. It's a great mark of respect for everyone. They deserve it and they're getting it now

We haven't had a single communication from him for years that's definitely from him. There was a post on a different forum from his old account this year, but nobody can be sure it was really him. The account could have been hacked, or his email name he registered with could have expired. Someone could have registered a new email account using his name if vistomail recycles old expired email names. Then they could have asked for a forum password reset using his old email account's name.
Yes. He definitely does deserve it. He has revolutionised the world by bringing Bitcoin into it. But if he does win it, how will he receive it without people finding out his identity. Maybe he now wants to shoe the world who he really is and take credit for making this futuristic currency.

It doesn't matter if he wants it or not, but either way i believe he fully deserves it. Giving people the option to break free of the centralized banking system, and giving them chance to be their own bank is worthy of a Nobel prize for sure. I'm interested to see the outcome, and even tho he will surely never going to accept it in hands, this would make every bitcoin user proud they are a part of it as well.

Given the fact that Bitcoin Foundation is begging for donations due to current profits, I can imagine some of its board members going rect and claiming the price.

GG NO RE Many industries such as Banking, Finance, Law will see a big upheaval. The consumers will be big beneficiaries and indeed the poor and marginal sections of the society will reap the benefits of financial and social inclusion in the coming decades. I can barely think of another innovation in Economic and Finance in the last several decades whose influence surpasses the welfare increases that will be engendered by Satoshi Nakamoto's brilliant, path-breaking invention. That is why I am nominating him for the Nobel Prize in Economics. First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. God i love quotes. Ah shit, I love this post

Satoshi Nakamoto already is in possession of several hundred million U.S. dollars worth of bitcoins so the additional prize money may not mean much to him. Only if he wants, the committee could also transfer the prize money to my bitcoin address, 165sAHBpLHujHbHx2zSjC898oXEz25Awtj
Mr Nakamoto and I will settle later.
Sure... Anything else that Satoshi can do for you?

The author of that post has already said that he is ready to claim the prize on behalf of Satoshi, but still you cannot give him the award money. Maybe, the award money can be donated to the foundation or to someone who will use it for the betterment of bitcoin.

Do we really need the money? I guess the community should be happy enough if we just get to see Satoshi being given the prize.

Satoshi will never come foward, even if they award the Nobel prize to him/her/them. The anonymous legacy add to the mystic of this entity. If I had a choice, I would rather have Satoshi be anonymous. People will forever judge and awarding someone you do not even know, a huge prize like that, would dishonor the other people who received it before. Let's not water down the value of such a prestige title.

It is just a trap to make him reveal himself. They will assassinate him afterwards.
Satoshi Nakamoto has been nominated, but he is just one of many nominations. He will not win the Noble Prize if he does not reveal himself. Maybe he can sign a message.

As the work is against the establishment, it is very unlikely that he'll win ever. We should be happy with the nomination.

Im just hoping that he doesn't come out of anonymity because of any of this. He has no remain anonymous forever for Bitcoin's sake. We don't want a visible figure for the media to bash at.
