I’m excited to announce that I’m working on a game with Octocoin at its core. It should be ready for play by beta users soon.

I’m a big fan of Octocoin—it’s fun, it’s a little dark. And Octocoin has the right tech for my game, so it was the perfect coin to develop with.

You basically spend octocoin to power up your character.  Didn't see if you could somehow earn coins though just spend.

Yup, got that online a few days ago. The login page is just for while the game is in beta, and will be going away soon.

I am so happy to see OctoCoin rising from the ashes that it was in for a long time!! This is a good thing to see happen and I am very happy to have a nice little bundle of 888 in my wallet stashed away Cheers

Not many people appear to be interested in Octocoin at the moment.  Haven't gotten any responses to the paid jobs ads either.
I'll continue to support the codebase, updating it, etc.

I think two things need to happen:

1) Octocoin needs to get listed on a high volume exchange
2) Network hash needs to increase by a lot.

How do we get there?

Been thinking about this for a while....

1)To get on a high volume exchange we need higher volumes on the current exchange.

2)The answer is Merged Mining, obviously you can implement it but we need to give pools a reason to merge mine the coin.

Maybe setting up a liquidity group with some big coin holders get some decent buy/sell walls.

With all the craze about stealth addresses and ring signatures have you considered theses features for Octocoin ?

I've submitted the form as described on that page.  However it would be great if someone could write the address validation and unittest code they are requesting.

OCT seems like the logical choice (I think I've seen OCTO somewhere too?). OCH is the Swedish word for "and" so that one gets just weird for me
